Rahu \u2013 is not bad. And Rahu \u2013 is not good either. Rahu is just a smoke \u2013 and smoke is smoke \u2013 you just can\u2019t get away from it!<\/p>

What is this smoke all about? This smoke (rahu) is your obsession to satisfy your desires \u2013 the word is \u2018obsession\u2019 .<\/p>

Obsession<\/em>\u00a0simply means you are paying too much attention and energy to something which is not that important.<\/p>

Out of proportion you have become focused, hypnotized by something. Rahu \u2018hypnotizes\u2019 you to such an extent that you can do anything \u2013 just to get to the goal \u2013 just to get to the point of attraction! Obsession is a kind of hypnosis that you create for yourself. Then everything else disappears in your life and only one thing remains, that becomes your focal point. Your life becomes one-dimensional;that\u2019s obsession.<\/p>

Life has to be multidimensional \u2013 but when RAHU connects with any PLANET \u2013 it makes you 1-dimensional. So if you have MARS+RAHU \u2013 you will go on thinking only of sex, only of sex twenty-four hours a day. Deep down in their minds it is always lurking. They may be doing something else, but the are thinking of sex. Then it is an obsession \u2013 you see \u2013 this is how the \u2018smoke\u2019 creates an obsession based on the planet it is placed with! There are people who are obsessed with food; they are continuously thinking of food. And it can be a positive obsession or a negative obsession.<\/p>

Rahu is obsession \u2013 there are people who call themseleves CELIBATES \u2013 MONKS \u2013 BRAHMACHARIS \u2013 and yet they are continuosly thinking of sex too \u2013 in a negative way! Such people are folks who have Jupiter afflicted by RAHU in some way or the other. So you see \u2013 the \u2018smoke\u2019 operates \u2013 based on the planets that it associates with.<\/p>

What are planets? Planets are simply the reflection of your qualities \u2013 \u2018Guna\u2019. When a planet is exalted \u2013 you have great qualities related to that planet. When Venus is exalted with all beneficial aspects \u2013 you have someone as beautiful \u2013 inside-out \u2013 person \u2013 who is not just beautiful but is truly compassionate towards his or her fellow beings \u2013 so when a certain \u2018smoke\u2019 accumulates around the planet (qualities) \u2013 you see some dark shades to those qualities! RAHU+VENUS = gives a beautiful mask \u2013 but behind that mask \u2013 there is a great obsession towards romance, art, love relationships \u2013 partners, and sex. But MARS+RAHU \u2013 is total obsession towards using the \u2018energy\u2019 for selfish desires \u2013 sex, tantra, black magic etc \u2013 here there is simply an obsession towards physicality \u2013 no art, no love, no positivism \u2013 it is straight way \u2013 \u2018nailing\u2019 \u2013 obsession towards getting things done \u2013 without bothering what way is being chosen for the same.<\/p>

So Rahu simply spoils the game \u2013 and a spoiler cannot be good or bad \u2013 a spolier *is* a spoiler!<\/p>

So it is good to see \u2013 when RAHU is placed alone in a house \u2013 that way the smoke is there \u2013 but it is at-least not directly affecting the individuals quality.<\/p>

Let it be very clear \u2013 that RAHU is your own creation. So don\u2019t blame RAHU for spoiling your life \u2013 you have come to this world \u2013 because of your \u2018desires\u2019 (RAHU) and so you have to first learn to accept the fact \u2013 that it is not RAHU who is affecting your life \u2013 it is not the nuclear bomb that is to be blamed \u2013 it is the Man who created this dangerous bomb \u2013 is to be blamed! And so when you see your marriage failing \u2013 and you are blaming your Rahu placed in 7th house \u2013 then you have learnt nothing in this life \u2013 the next life you will be in the same place \u2013 with the same miseries.<\/p>

Life repeats itself mindlessly \u2013 unless you become mindful, it will go on repeating like a wheel. \u2013 Osho<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>

And that is the greatest tragedy of human life \u2013 whenever you have a problem \u2013 you visit an astrologer and then the astrologer tells you \u2018this is the reason \u2013 Rahu is placed in so and so \u2026..\u2019 and then you are satisfied. But no one ever is willing to ASK \u2013 WHY RAHU IS THERE \u2013 the question \u2018WHY\u2019 is never asked \u2013 you will ask why I have this or that problem \u2013 but you would never ASK further \u2013 on WHY a certain planet is in such a position \u2013 nobody asks \u2013 people are simply happy to find a shallow reason and that is how everybody is happy living a shallow life!<\/p>

RAHU is shallowness \u2013 the \u2018smoke\u2019 is just on the outside \u2013 it never goes deep \u2013 it is not interested to know the root of the cause \u2013 as long as you remain ignorant \u2013 the smoke is happy, RAHU is IGNORANCE!<\/p>

KETU is depth \u2013 never underestimate a man whose moon is with ketu \u2013 if other aspects support then such a man is not only brilliant but a genius \u2013 he has a certain depth that a RAHU-ish man can never understand!<\/p>

A certain *quality* of understanding has to be there \u2013 then the truth can be given \u2013 KETU has the divine power to bring a certain *understanding* which RAHU doesn\u2019t have. Rahu will go on and on and on \u2013 he has the accumulated knowledge of the whole world \u2013 but that is all!<\/p>

To ask \u2018WHO YOU ARE\u2019 \u2013 is the quality of RAHU<\/p>

To ask \u2013 look within \u2013 self inquire -\u2019WHO AM I\u2019 is the quality of Shri Ketu!<\/p>

Rahu traps you. Ketu liberates you. Ketu moves you to basic question \u2013 the question of your existence \u2013 of your \u2018self\u2019 \u2013<\/p>

Rahu is being obsessed with intellectualism. Ketu is more driven towards intelligence!<\/p>

Intellectualism is of the mind \u2013 and the mind is monkey. The mind is nothing but thoughts that hold no truth \u2013 it is only the heart that has the truth \u2013 Intelligence is of the heart! And meditation is a journey from MIND towards the HEART \u2013 the day your Mind is overcome \u2013 you are \u2018in\u2019 for the greatest miracle of your life \u2013 but RAHU brings many hurdles \u2013 your own self-induced desires create many hurdles. The greatest hurdle that blocks you from experiencing the truth, experiencing true love, experiencing the divine \u2013 is your \u2018DESIRE\u2019 \u2013 which is RAHU!<\/p>

How to overcome the desires (RAHU)?<\/p>

And the answer is found in the quote of Neem Karoli Baba \u2013 one of the greatest divine masters of recent time \u2013 whom the much famed CEO of Apple (Steve Jobs) had come to seek Baba\u2019s divine blessings.<\/p>

If you want to see God, kill desires. Desires are in the mind. When you have a desire for something, don’t act on it and it will go away. If you desire to drink this cup of tea, don’t, and the desire for it will go away. – Neem Karoli Baba\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>

And so let us not categorize RAHU \u2013 because that would like categorizing desires \u2013 desire is desire \u2013 good or bad \u2013 as long as desires remain \u2013 the unending cycle of birth and rebirth and the suffering continues\u2026..it just never ends \u2013 it never can \u2013 unless a day comes when you stop focusing on the outside world and start focusing inward \u2013 and that\u2019s meditation \u2013 that\u2019s Shri Ketu!<\/p>
