Anger\u00a0needs\u00a0a\u00a0way\u00a0out. It is mere stupidity to let your\u00a0anger\u00a0pile up within you – because the more you suppress your\u00a0anger\u00a0the more you are going to make yourself miserable. Suppressing\u00a0anger\u00a0– is one trademark of\u00a0Retrograde\u00a0Mars. Remember – when you start suppressing feelings at an early age, it hurts you down the road. Full expression of\u00a0anger\u00a0and pain is very important.<\/p>\n

People have very wrong assumptions about spirituality. They assume that since you are spiritual – you should never express your\u00a0anger\u00a0– you should just remain silent. And such kind of expectation leads one to become\u00a0a\u00a0FAKE SPIRITUAL BABA. That reminds me of\u00a0a\u00a0story –\u00a0a\u00a0story of\u00a0a\u00a0man who came to be known as SHANTI DAS. SHANTI is an Indian word – which literally means being quiet – being silent.<\/p>\n

It happened once – there was\u00a0a\u00a0man who continued to suppress his\u00a0anger\u00a0towards his wife. He knew that his wife was cheating him – that she was having an affair with another man – but he remained silent. Maybe he was\u00a0a\u00a0Retrograde\u00a0Mars\u00a0person – he could not burst\u00a0out\u00a0his\u00a0anger\u00a0– he continued to suppress his\u00a0anger\u00a0and then one night – this suppressed\u00a0anger\u00a0burst\u00a0out\u00a0and impulsively he kicked his wife\u00a0out\u00a0of his home – the whole village and his neighbors gathered to see what is happening – Shantidas was fuming with\u00a0anger\u00a0– his whole face had become red with\u00a0anger\u00a0– and his wife immediately left him – because she was perfectly aware that had she stayed – he would have simply killed her. So she left forever. Just when all of this was happening –\u00a0a\u00a0Jaina monk was passing by.\u00a0A\u00a0crowd had gathered, and the Jaina monk said, \u201cThis mind full of\u00a0anger\u00a0and violence will lead you to hell.\u201d<\/p>\n

The situation was such that the man said, \u201cI also want to be as silent as you are, but what can I do? I don\u2019t know anything. When\u00a0anger\u00a0grips me I\u2019m almost unconscious, and now I have killed my own beloved wife.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Jaina monk said, \u201cThe only\u00a0way\u00a0to still this mind, which is full of\u00a0anger\u00a0and violence and rage, is to renounce the world.\u201d Jainism is\u00a0a\u00a0religion of renunciation, and the ultimate renunciation is even of clothes. The Jaina monk lives naked, because he is not allowed to possess even clothes.<\/p>\n

The man was of\u00a0a\u00a0very arrogant type, and this became\u00a0a\u00a0challenge to him. Before the crowd he threw his clothes in the well. The whole village could not believe it; even the Jaina monk became\u00a0a\u00a0little afraid, \u201cIs he mad or something?\u201d The man fell down at his feet and said, \u201cYou may have taken many decades to reach the stage of renunciation\u2026. I renounce the world, I renounce everything. I am your disciple \u2012 initiate me.\u201d<\/p>\n

His name was Shantidas, and Shanti means \u201cpeace.\u201d It often happens\u2026if you see an ugly woman, most probably her name will be Sunderbhai, which means \u201cbeautiful woman.\u201d In India, people have\u00a0a\u00a0strange way\u2026to the blind man they give the name Nayan Sukh. Nayan Sukh means \u201cone whose eyes give him great pleasure.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Jaina monk said, \u201cYou have\u00a0a\u00a0beautiful name. I will not change it; I will keep it, but from this moment you have to remember that peace has to become your very vibration.\u201d<\/p>\n

The man disciplined himself, stilled his mind, fasted long, tortured himself, and soon became more famous than his master. Angry people, arrogant people, and egoistic people can do things that peaceful people will take\u00a0a\u00a0little time to do. He became very famous, and thousands of people used to come just to touch his feet.<\/p>\n

After twenty years he was in the capital.\u00a0A\u00a0man from his village had come for some purpose, and he thought, \u201cIt will be good to go and see what transformation has happened to Shantidas. So many stories are heard \u2012 that he has become\u00a0a\u00a0totally new man, that his old self is gone and\u00a0a\u00a0new, fresh being has arisen in him, that he really has become peace, silence, tranquility.\u201d<\/p>\n

So the man went with great respect. But when he saw Muni Shantidas, seeing his face, his eyes, he could not think that there had been any change. There was none of the grace which necessarily radiates from\u00a0a\u00a0mind which has become silent. Those eyes were still as egoistic \u2012 in fact, they had become more pointedly egoistic. The man\u2019s presence was even more ugly than it used to be.<\/p>\n

Still, the man went close. Shantidas recognized the man, who had been his neighbor \u2012 but now it was beneath his dignity to recognize him. The man also saw that Shantidas had recognized him, but he was pretending that he did not. He thought, \u201cThat shows much.\u201d He went close by Shantidas and asked, \u201cCan I ask you\u00a0a\u00a0question? What is your name?\u201d<\/p>\n

Naturally, great\u00a0anger\u00a0arose in Shantidas because he knew that this man knew perfectly well what his name was. But still, he kept himself in control, and he said, \u201cMy name is Muni Shantidas.\u201d<\/p>\n

The man said, \u201cIt is\u00a0a\u00a0beautiful name \u2012 but my memory is very short, can you repeat it again? I have forgotten\u2026what name did you say?\u201d<\/p>\n

This was too much. Muni Shantidas used to carry\u00a0a\u00a0staff. He took the staff in his hand\u2026he forgot everything \u2012 twenty years of controlling the mind \u2012 and he said, \u201cAsk again and I will show you who I am. Have you forgotten? \u2012 I killed my wife, I am the same man only then did he recognize what had happened.\nIn\u00a0a\u00a0single moment of unconsciousness,\u00a0he realized that twenty years have gone down the drain;\u00a0he has not changed at all. But millions of people feel great silence in him\u2026. Yes, he has become very controlled,\u00a0he keeps himself repressed, and it has paid off.\u00a0So much respect and he has no qualification for that respect \u2012 so much honor,\u00a0even kings come to touch his feet.<\/p>\n

These kinds of so-called saints and fake babas are nothing but controlled animals. The mind is nothing but\u00a0a\u00a0long heritage of all your animal past. You can control it, but the controlled mind is not the awakened mind. Always remember this. The process of controlling and repressing and disciplining is taught by all religions, and because of their fallacious teaching humanity has not moved\u00a0a\u00a0single inch \u2012 it remains barbarous. Any moment people start killing each other. It does not take\u00a0a\u00a0single moment to lose themselves; they forget completely that they are human beings, and something much more, something better is expected of them. There have been very few people who have been able to avoid this deception of controlling the mind and believing that they have attained mindlessness.<\/p>\n

Retrograde\u00a0Mars\u00a0– especially if Mercury is also combust or\u00a0retrograde\u00a0and Jupiter is weak – then such\u00a0a\u00a0person feels completely blocked – suffocated because he or she is just not able to express their\u00a0anger\u00a0or love freely. Problem in expressing feelings is\u00a0a\u00a0general observation when\u00a0Mars\u00a0is\u00a0retrograde.
