Meditation Techniques for Beginners

Technique is of the MIND. As long as MIND remains – MEDITATION cannot happen in the true sense!

There is NO TECHNIQUE – to meditate. Meditation happens when you RELAX.

“THERE IS NO NEED TO ASK HOW TO MEDITATE, JUST ASK HOW TO REMAIN UNOCCUPIED.
MEDITATION HAPPENS SPONTANEOUSLY.”

In your mind – when you are thinking about ‘relations’ – about ‘money’ – about your ‘work’ – about ‘sex’ – about ‘enmity’ – about ‘revenge’ – as long as the ABOUT LIST remains – you cannot remain unoccupied – and as long as you cannot remain unoccupied – you cannot relax. And as long as you cannot relax – you CANNOT meditate!

Relax. Don’t Rush. The ‘Mind’ is always in rush – you are NOT the Mind. Just relax. What is yours – will remain with you – nobody can steal it from you. Change is constant. Except change – everything else changes. You remain open to change – relax and now meditate. Listen to this meditation music while you meditate.

Ketu: Emptiness, Spirituality, Enlightenment

Mahakashyap always used to be quiet. He used to sit in the corner simply watching the Master – Gautama Buddha. He never talked much. Other disciples would say “Why you don’t talk? And as far as we know you have come from very faraway land…”
He said ” It is true that I have come from very far to attain – to learn – to seek wisdom but the moment I arrived, the moment I had a glimpse of the master – all my quest, all my rush to attain dropped then and there. Now I am happy to just have a glimpse of the master – nothing I wish for, just by being in HIS omnipresence – I can relate, I can understand.”
And it is said that the first disciple of Buddha to attain enlightenment was Mahakashyap. Once enlightened, Mahakashyap realized that now he cannot stay with the master, he has to move on and so he would not go near Buddha. Buddha himself had to walk toward Mahakashyap and say “Mahakashyapa, don’t try to deceive me. Now there is no need to sit under this tree. Get on and move! There are millions of people who are still groping in darkness, and you are sitting here enlightened. Take this fire of your enlightenment and make as many people aflame as possible.” Mahakashyap was in tears. He realized that enlightenment is a great responsibility.

“Enlightenment is not only enlightenment, it is also a great responsibility. You have come to realize the ultimate peace, the joy, the blissfulness. Now it is your responsibility to share it, to go as far away as possible. Now there is no point in sitting by the side of the master.” – Osho

It always happens, a devoted disciple never wants to go away from the Master! Mahakashyap was also finding it difficult to move away from the master – but the master – Gautama Buddha comes and says “ You cannot sit under this tree – there are millions of people groping in darkness, it is your responsibility to share the bliss you have experienced!”

A real master never wants his disciple to remain dependent on him. Always remember this. Lao Tzu, the divine master says – “When the DISCIPLE is READY – the MASTER APPEARS. And when the DISCIPLE is TRULY READY – the MASTER DISAPPEARS.”

“The real master the perfect master never makes you dependent on him. And if any master makes people dependant, if any master creates dependance in people, if he makes people dependent on him, he is not a true master. He is akind of exploiter, he is trying to dominate you in the name of religion. He is trying to enslave you, he cannot give you freedom.” – Osho

Gautama Buddha was the real master and so when Mahakashyap attains enlightenment, the master instructs him to move on – to go back to the towns and cities and enlighten those who are ‘thirsty’ for GOD. Jesus says that those who have the ‘THIRST’ will be filled, will be blessed!

“Those Who Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness Shall Be Filled
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”

Righteousness is SWADHARMA. In the GITA, Krishna emphasis on SWADHARMA. GOD CONSCIOUSNESS is always found in RIGHTEOUSNESS – SWADHARMA!

And so whosoever is THIRSTY for GOD – is HUNGRY to experience GOD – will be filled, will be blessed – because that is what the whole goal is of the God’s ‘messenger’ – be it Jesus, Muhammad, Mahavira or Mahakashyap – the whole purpose is to spread the LIGHT of AWARENESS – make as many people aflame as possible!

This world is vast – so vast that your MIND cannot contain it. But your HEART can!

Always remember if you try to feel the VASTNESS of this HUMAN WORLD by your MIND – you can never feel or realize – but if you sit down, and start moving deeper and deeper into your being – then through the ‘LIGHT OF CONSCIOUSNESS’ that is WITHIN you – you can feel, you can realize the VASTNESS of this whole universe, not just the world on this planet!

And then when you self realize the VASTNESS – you also realize how ‘small’ you are – even smaller than a ANT – and then you realize what a FOOL you have been all these births and rebirths – always moving with such a BIG FAT EGO of “I AM SOMEBODY”!

You see – this is the whole process to come to the realization that “I AM NOTHING” – that “I AM NOBODY”!

Always remember GOD comes only to a ‘NOBODY’ – LOVE flows only to someone who is a NOBODY!

Once it happened – there was a shrine, a beautiful shrine. And a very old man used to sweep the floors of that shrine. Everyday – every morning and every evening, he would come, bow before the ‘Sufi Saint’ Photo – and then start sweeping the floor. And in that shrine – many scholars and pundits also used to come, and they all would gather and give long discourses and many people would also gather to listen to their discourses and it used to get all packed. And in that crowd, the old man simply would continue to sweep the floors with devotion – his eyes would become wet in the fond memory of the Sufi Saint. Nobody would pay attention to him – he was the most IGNORED person – because people always SEE to all that SHINES – all that GLIMMERS and those pundits and those scholars would always come in shimmering dress – after all people have to recognize them as ‘SOMEBODY’!

One day the music was playing, people had gathered, it was a festive day and suddenly amidst all – from nowhere the Sufi Saint appeared – and the pundits and the scholars and the people – they all rushed towards HIM – to touch HIS feet – but the Sufi Saint IGNORED all of them and rushed towards the old man – the old man was sweeping the floors as usual, reciting the Sufi Saint’s name – and he was so much engrossed in NAAM SMARAN – that he didn’t even realized that the MASTER – whose name he is reciting is coming towards HIM – rushing towards HIM – and the Master came and hugged the old man…..

And the old man started crying……the master said “ Abdul” – that was his name – Abdul.

And Old Abdul said “ Master – I am blessed by your divine touch – how to thank you, how to express my gratitude – how to and what to say – I am speechless.”

The master said “ Abdul – you have said so much through your devotion, you have said so much through your love – that now nothing need to be said – You are mine fellow.”

GOD always comes to a NOBODY. Not to the priest and not to the pundits and not to the scholars and not to the philosophers BUT only to someone who is as beautiful as ABDUL – A nobody!

The whole gathering of people and the pundits and the scholars were taken aback – because they could not understand what was so special in that old man – a sweeper – that the MASTER ignored them and simply rushed towards a ‘Nobody’!

And they haven’t found the answer yet and they will never find the answer ever – because to find the answer – you too have become a NOBODY – like ABDUL – until then you will remain on the circumference – waiting for the answer!

It happens – some of you who read my answers – my posts on this forum or elsewhere – you read and connect because the words that I share surpass your MIND – and then you feel the bliss! So when I am writing – it is my heart – when you are reading – it is your heart – the connection happens because at the moment of writing or reading – the MIND ceases and the HEART wells up!

It is a beautiful relating – a resonance that cannot necessarily happen when I am talking and your are listening – because the state of being ‘NOBODY’ is not at that moment!

It is only when we are in the state of NOBODY that we can connect! A master can connect with the disciple because the state of ‘nobodiness’ is there – it is only in the state of NOBODINESS the real connection happens and not otherwise!

“God is not somebody: He is nobody or, more correctly, nobodiness.
God is not something: he is nothing or, even more correctly, no-thingness.
He is a creative void.”

EMPTINESS. NOTHINGNESS is the very essence of Buddhist Sutras (Sermons)!

Jesus says to Nicodemus “You have to REBORN”. It is a divine message to become a NOBODY – to DROP all the LEARNING, all the SCHORLARSHIPS, all the NOTIONS and preconcieved ideas and to become a ZERO (KETU) – it is only through the ZERO – SHUNYA – EMPTINESS – NOBODINESS that you can experience the divine, the beyond and it is beautiful!

“You are nobody. You are born as a nobodiness with no name, no form. You will die as a nobody.
Name and form are just on the surface; deep down you are just a vast space. And it is beautiful”

MAHAKASHYAP comes – he comes to LEARN, to ASK many questions – just like you – but the moment he came and had the first glimpse of the master – Gautama Buddha – he DROPPED everything – all his idea of asking, talking, questioning – everything was dropped – he remained SILENT – and in that SILENCE – sitting in the corner – he was truly able to CONNECT, to RELATE, to RESONATE with the master’s sharing! The other disciples questioned a lot, talked a lot but it was MAHAKASHYAP who became the FIRST DISCIPLE of BUDDHA to attain enlightenment!

And when he attained enlightenment – he laughed – a loud belly laugh. Buddha was present, he asked “Mahakashyap – you never talked – so now after attaining enlightenment why you laughed?”

Mahakashyap said “ Master – I laughed because I never thought that I would be the first to attain enlightenment – I wanted the others to attain first because they were in rush, I was not in rush – I said to myself – that let others attain first – then in the end I will attain – but I became the first to attain and so the laughter came…..”

This is so significant – this is so beautiful and this is so deep. Only a meditative being can understand the significance of Mahakashyap’s words!

A man who is in RUSH to attain – will NEVER attain. And a man who is in RUSH is always ruled by the MIND – such a man always remains where he is!

Only a man who has moved beyond the MIND can WAIT – can be PATIENT – can wait for years and years – he is the MAHAKASHYAP – he can say “Let others attain – I can attain in the end.”

And surprisingly GOD always opens the DOOR for such a man who is WILLING TO WAIT – WILLING TO BE PATIENT!

I would love you all to be like MAHAKASHYAP – to learn from MAHAKASHYAP – to understand how a true disciple is – only then can you all progress on the spiritual path – till then you will remain on the circumference – with no peace of mind, no joy, no bliss.

Money cannot bring PEACE to you. Always remember this. In fact money has provoked one brother to cut the throat of other brother – Money is the reason for all fights and violence and murders.

Ramakrishna Paramhansa NEVER would keep any money/coins with him. He could not even tolerate touch of money or silver coins. You know the greatest difficulty with me is to keep or even to touch money.

Money has become the MASTER – whereas Money should become your slave and not the master!

Money should NOT drive you – you should drive money. Swami Vivekananda – the disciple of Ramakrishna Paramhansa quotes:

“He is truly a man to whom money is only a servant; but, on the other hand, those who do not know how to make a proper use of it, hardly deserve to be called men. Hold your money merely as custodian for what is God’s. Have no attachment for it. Let name and fame and money go; they are a terrible bondage. Feel the wonderful atmosphere of freedom.” – Swami Vivekananda

FREEDOM is ABOVE ALL! Many times I feel I should drop everything and just move to the mountains – but then the master directs me back to the city – the time is not yet, still I have to be here, still some ‘pending’ karma is to be fulfilled….

Mahakashyap remains one of the greatest enlightened being – through his journey – he also enlighten us – leaving a wonderful example – of a devoted, disciplined and a meditative disciple who also lived and rejoiced in his NOBODINESS!

A man who has become a NOBODY – has NO FEET, NO WINGS, NO MIND and yet HE can FLY – HE can experience the higher altitudes – the beauty of the BEYOND!

“Walk without feet, Fly without wings and Think without mind” – OSHO

You can also experience the beyond – you can also become a Buddha – you can also be like Mahakashyap – but the question is – are you willing to become a ‘Nobody’?

Your answer will decide your ‘journey’ ahead.

Meditate on the words that I have shared.

Meditate and let the answer well up from your heart.

God will wait for your answer. The Master will wait. The Master can WAIT for eternity – that is how deep the love of the master is – that is how deep the master’s compassion is!

Secrets of Inner Transformation Revealed

MIND is the problem. Not YOU. YOU are NOT the MIND. When you sit – meditate – observe the MIND – witness – and focus on your breathing.

When you sit and close your eyes – what happens? Millions and million of THOUGHTS like bees start buzzing through your mind. This MIND is a traffic of THOUGHTS.

So then what is the solution?

ONE THOUGHT is the SOLUTION. Yes – one thought – that thought can be an affirmation, a mantra, Lord’s Holy Name.

Focus on that ONE THOUGHT to keep all other THOUGHTS at the bay.

“Meditation helps concentration of the mind. Then the mind is free from thoughts and is in the meditated form. Meditation is sticking to one thought. That single thought keeps away other thoughts; distraction of mind is a sign of its weakness; by constant meditation it gains strength.”
-Bhagavan Ramana Maharashi

The MIND is behind many things – at one moment it is here and the other moment it can go to the other part of the world. When you sit – let there be nobody around you. Close the room. Let there be total silence and total cleanliness in the room.

If you are a beginner – then use meditative soothing music to get started with meditation. The MIND can focus on the music – while YOU focus on that one thought – the Mantra! You can recite – Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. Aum Namaha Shivaya. Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram. And many such beautiful soothing mantras that produce HEALING VIBRATIONS.

In the beginning it is very difficult, then slowly it is difficult then it is manageable – then it possible! You see – it is a PROCESS. Rome was not build in one night. Similarly your meditation will not fructify in one day. It will take time – but the most beautiful moment is when you EMBARK on your JOURNEY WITHIN – when you start meditating ‘religiously’ – with full devotion and patience!

Whether you are working in a company, whether you are running a company, whether you are a student, whether you are a housewife or whether you are a LOVER – meditation will help you to get more CLARITY about yourself, about the mission you are on – about the problems you are facing – moreover meditation will help you to calm down and attain peace of MIND.

Peace of MIND is something that your dollars and your rupees cannot buy. It is not available on the outside so how can you buy? You cannot. There are people having stocks of money and cars and airplanes – some of them whom I have met – but they are always found to be restless! NO PEACE OF MIND. They are eating on gold plated plates and yet no good night sleep! Like an OWL then remain AWAKE whole night – everything is there – all kind of pleasures – SEX, LUXURIES, FOOD – you name it and they have it in abundance and YET there is absolutely NO PEACE of MIND.

Money, Fame, Wealth cannot get you PEACE – they may get you PLEASURES but NOT PEACE.

“I hope everybody could get rich and famous and will have everything they ever dreamed of, so they will know that it’s not the answer.”

Out of 1 million – 100 AWAKE, 10 Take the effort, 1 succeeds – to conquer the MIND – to conquer the SELF is million times difficult than to conquer the world on the outside.

It is said that Diogenes once said to Alexander the Great, “Have you ever thought about one thing? – meditate over it. You want to conquer the whole world, but are you aware that once you have conquered the whole world, then what? There is no other world. Then what will you do?”

It is said, just by Diogenes saying it, Alexander became very sad, and said, “Please don’t mention such sad things; let me conquer the whole world, then we will see. But don’t talk about such sad things to me; it make me feel very sad.”

He had not conquered the whole world yet, but the very idea that if you conquer the whole world, what are you going to do….there is no other world, and you will feel stuck. The mind will ask for more.

“The mind lives through more and the more cannot be fulfilled; that is impossible…it ends in tears…Every desire ends in frustration because every expectation is the beginning of frustration. Why does every desire end in frustration? There are only two alternatives – either you achieve the object of your desire or you don’t achieve it, but in both cases it will end in tears. If you achieve it you will the utter futility of it all.” – Osho

A rich man sees the futility of his riches for which he has worked day and night. And now whatsoever he has attained is absolutely useless, it fulfills nothing. You can have two apartments, three bungalows, and 12 super luxury cars but you are the same person, as empty as before. You can live in a palace, but how can you change your inner meaninglessness? You will be as meaningless in a palace as you are in a hut. In fact you will be more meaningless in a Palace because while you are in a hut you can still hope that one day when you have managed to get a Palace – everything will be okay. You can hope, a man in the hut can hope but a man who is in the palace has no hope, he has already reached there – the cul de sac point has arrived – he feels utter hopeless. And he cannot share his state with other (he may share it with an astrologer) but not with others! People will think that he worked hard for nothing!

It is good that Alexander, the Great was NOT able to conquer the whole world – else he too would have felt the same inner meaningless – because now the whole world was acquired – what else was there to conquer on the outside? And if he would have said after conquering the whole world – ” It was useless. I wasted my time and my life.” People would have thought he was stupid.

This is the state of all ‘ALEXANDERS’ that exist in today’s world. They have everything – they are flying in private jets but in the night they cannot sleep. In the day – the cannot live with joy – and top of that they CANNOT share their agonies and their frustrations – because what will people say?

Life always you option to choose – you can choose to become Alexander or you can choose to become Diogenes.

Those who are ruled by RAHU – those who have prominent RAHU positions in the horoscope (1 house, 2nd house, 4th house, 7th house, 10th house) – these men and women are always found to be restless – with absolute no peace of mind – unless there are other supporting aspects.

Those who are ruled by Sri KETU – are those who someday – sooner or later start following DIOGENES – they are beautiful beings – the moment they AWAKE from the sleep of many births and rebirths – they don’t look back – they are on the way towards the beyond!

Life indeed is divided in two categories – RAHU and KETU. Alexander and Diogenes. Black and White. Ignorance and Consciousness!

RAHUISH men and women also are attracted towards meditation but their GOAL is that of the RAVANA. Ravana was also a great TAPASVI – a great meditative being – he was RAHUISH – he attained many SIDDHIS – super natural powers – that was THE GOAL of HIS MEDITATION!

You see – RAHU always has an AGENDA – the DESIRE to ACQUIRE SOMETHING through which it can attain more FAME and more WEALTH and more CONTROL over others!

That is exactly what RAVANA did.

And Ram…..Ram was such a beautiful person – HE also did intense penance in the forests but HE had absolutely NO AGENDA – he meditated out of LOVE – out of his DEVOTION – RAMA was indeed the most beautiful man who once walked on this planet!

In the Himalayan region there are many Sadhus and Babas meditating – but each has a different GOAL – and then there are those RAREST OF RARE GEMS – YOGIS whose GOAL is LOVE – ABSOLUTE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

With what intention – you meditate is as important as how deeply you meditate!

There are millions of Sadhus and men within our society who have attained SIDDHIS and they have simply become slave of the SIDDHIS (the supernatural powers).

And then there are a few – very few – within us, within the Himalayan mountain caves, who have always focused on the LOVE of the LORD and ignored all the SIDDHIS and the powers because these powers can become a great HURDLE between the SADHAK (Meditative being) and the Holy Father (Lord).

It is said that Akkalkot Swami ( I address HIM as the the great grand father – the greatest star of wisdom) – once said to Bidkar Maharaj “ Don’t get trapped and fascinated by the SIDDHIS that you have – else you will never find the LORD – you will remain where you are – playing with the SIDDHIS.”

Bidkar Maharaj’s life story is truly inspiring. Bidkar Maharaj was once a great wealthy merchant of ATTAR (Perfume scents). And he was so rich that he had almost everything that a man could desire for. All pleasures were at his feet. Beautiful women, beautiful maids, luxury conveyances – you name it and he had it. Then one day he met the Master – Akkalkot Swami Samarth. And Swami was not a cat but a LION. His words were very sharp and yet those divine words had the immense strength to transform.

Bidkar realized the futility of all his riches and slowly he started to cut down on his indulgence towards the pleasures of life. Transformation is slow process – always remember this.

One day Swami blessed Bidkar. Swami initiated him as his disciple and from that day there was no turning back. Bidkar continued to excel in his meditations – but his business of perfume continued.

One afternoon Swami said to Bidkar “ Bidkar – stop your perfume business. No more selling perfume. Stop it.”

Bidkar was not a common disciple. He immediately stopped his business of perfume which was the only source of his income!

You see – many men and women come and talk a lot and give long lectures on devotion and commitment to the master – but when it comes to actual ACTION – actual EXECUTION – the moment to WALK THE TALK – how many succeed? ONE in a MILLION!

Bidkar was that ONE in a MILLION. And it is this Bidkar who later went on to become one of the greatest divine master – Bidkar Maharaj who performed many miracles and guided many men and women. Today Bidkar Maharaj Samadhi Mandir is in the heart of Pune city. I often visit HIS shrine – it reminds of a great disciple who TRULY lived his life in TOTAL SURRENDER – to HIS master, Akkalkot Swami Samarth.

Life can transform. But people are not willing to JUMP within. People want remedies – they don’t want to listen to the real remedy – ‘Meditation’. People want rituals – they are not willing to listen to simple solution – ‘FEEDING the POOR – FEEDING the ANIMALS’. And then they when they cannot understand me – they say they cannot connect to my sharing!

Always remember life is simple and solutions are also simple. You are running all over the temples and you don’t know your family deity – then who is at fault. Many simple solutions can solve your problems – but since you are DRIVEN by your MIND – you want something FANCY – something COMPLICATED – and then you smile – you feel that you have got something SOLID REMEDY to resolve your problems!

In reality – Simple has it. Simple man. Simple woman. They are the ones whom GOD love – they are the ones whom I love – they are the ones whom the master loves.

“Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.” says Einstein – one of the greatest scientist whom I love.

A simple man can meditate beautifully. A simple woman can progress in her meditations much faster than those who are still trapped in their HEAD. Because MEDITATION is also a very SIMPLE process!

“My meditation is simple. It does not require any complex practices. It is simple. It is singing. It is dancing. It is sitting silently.”

Sitting silently. Just sit silently in a closed room or a secluded place beneath a tree. AND RELAX.

Relaxing your whole body is the first step towards meditation – always remember this. Unless and until you RELAX – there is absolutely no chance of meditation happening – you ought to RELAX in totality.

“Don’t seek, don’t search, don’t ask, don’t knock, don’t demand – relax.
If you relax, it comes. If you relax, it is there.
If you relax, you start vibrating with it.”

When you relax – you let the existence vibrate with you and then the miracle happens – then the mind takes the backseat and the SELF becomes the driving force – and then you find the answer to your questions. The ‘key’ is to RELAX.

RELAX and meditate in the beauty of deep silence.

Let LOVE be the goal – when you meditate with love and devotion – the HELP comes, your VOICE is heard – you are no more without ‘shelter’ – you are COVERED.

Love to you all – I am really amazed to see so many of you following me – I am certain there must be something special WITHIN you – else you would not have been with me on this beautiful ‘journey’ with God. You only appreciate that which is also WITHIN you – I am certain that those who are following me – will one day experience the beyond, the divine and then life will no more the same – then there will be a dance, a song, a beautiful poem, a beautiful painting.

Life – no matter how difficult seems to be, you can make it easy, you can transform it into a beautiful poem – only if you are willing to TURN INWARD.

You become ‘spiritual’ in the true sense – only when you start turning inwards – the real journey is the journey WITHIN.

Turn inwards, and meditate every morning and every evening – 1 hour minimum.

Importance of Chalit Chart

CHALIT is the very essence of Astrology. Without CHALIT chart the whole essence of Astrology is lost, it is simply lost. CHALIT IS CHANGE.

UNDERSTAND THIS. And I appeal to all my followers, readers and fellow travelers- understand this. There is a high chance that my answer will be collapsed by Quora- because Truth always faces condemnation.

CHALIT is the very backbone of Astrology. Because it not only shows the actual house in which your planet is placed BUT it also shows the MATURITY of results related to the house it is placed in the CHALIT.

Not every individual’s chart has planets in CHALIT mode. So Chalit planet is special. And one who has a Chalit planet is also special!

What does a CHALIT PLANET means? WHAT exactly it is trying to convey to you? Look at your birth chart – and I appeal to all my followers. You all are also progressive. THIS WHOLE UNIVERSE IS PROGRESSIVE BY NATURE. CHALIT is in the very essence of this Universe. CHALIT is very much rooted in our blood. You all are progressing and this progression is shown by your CHALIT chart. AND progression has its roots in the process of CHANGE.

Now let us understand through an example of how CHALIT has the final say!

One friend lives in Chennai. His birth chart has Ketu and Moon in the 7th house.

One friend lives in Mumbai. Her birth chart has Ketu and Moon in the 7th house.

The Chennai friend got married. And he is still married happily!

The Mumbai friend got married. But she got divorced within 2 years of her marriage!

But the story does not end here. It only ends when you make a note of the fact that both were born on the same day at the same place with just 5 minutes difference in their birth time.

What happened?

The Chennai friend Moon Ketu in 7th house shows up in the Ascendant chart. But in his Chalit Chart Ketu moves on to the 8th. This man enjoys a pleasurable sexual life with his marriage partner.

The Mumbai friend Moon Ketu in 7th house remains as it is in the Chalit Chart. Marriage brings no sexual satisfaction- absence of sex, her husband falls for other woman – and divorce triggers.

Progression simply is the way of life! Chalit is simply the essence of astrology!

But who wants to listen? It is interesting that Western Astrology is criticized by Indian pundits. But it is also a fact that the much hyped KP Astrology recognizes the Placidus system of Western Astrology. In fact KP birth chart is totally based on Placidus methodology of Western Astrology! Chalit is close to Placidus. By and by I have come to the point of realization that Western Astrology is precious in many ways. But we have been so busy in trying to prove our system of astrology as the only superior system that we simply missed to realize the immense value of Western astrology method!

When it comes to CHALIT house placement of a specific planet – changes. But that DOES NOT change the way of looking at the chart in its totality. If your Ascendant lord is in the 3rd house. It remains in 3rd house. If Seema is from India. Then she remains an Indian citizen. Now in the Chalit Chart – if Seema is moving from 3rd house to 4th house – then it shows progression- Seema is progressing…moving from India to the US. She is bringing the qualities of 3rd house to the 4th house. With time, she will settle down in the US (fourth house).

Chalit is a very deep subject. I personally love Chalit, mainly because of my extensive experience of dealing with specific charts.

So whenever you read house lordship – which house lord is in which house – always refer to your Ascendant chart or Rashi Chart. If Sun is in your 3rd house in the Ascendant Chart – read the Sun in 3rd house results – even though Sun is seen in 4th house in your CHALIT CHART.

You all will find this revelation – surprising – but surprises is what comes when you come face to face with TRUTH! I am just sharing the TRUTH that I came across while going through my own self experiences.

Remember- Seema is from India (3rd house). If you see her in the US (4th house in CHALIT) while reading the Chalit than do NOT mistaken her as a US citizen! She is Indian…though she is on her way to become a US citizen.

Yesterday Mohan came. Mohan has been a close follower of mine. Almost from a decade when I was staying in the US. Mohan asked a very interesting question- Mohan asked “How to find what results we get from the Chalit Chart?”

Mohan has always been like this. A simple man who always asks basic questions.

Mohan read about the results of 4th house Sun. His Natal Ascendant chart had Sun in 3rd. He called me. I said to him – you have 3rd house Sun qualities within you. And these qualities will progress and help you to EXPERIENCE the results of Sun in 4th.

Sun in 4th makes you a local hero. A local popular figure. Any CHALIT planet is very powerful because it has MATURED TO GIVE RESULTS. So your Sun is powerful and a time will come in your life when you will be KNOWN figure in your locality.

CHALIT PLANET gives results – but late in life. It is bound to give you results because that is what is meant for!

SO now when you open and see your CHALIT CHART – and lets say if your 7th house Venus is going in the 6th house in CHALIT CHART – do not get depressed – yes there is high possibility that marriage can become challenging – but this challenge is NOT to cause you pain but to make you aware of the higher Truths that otherwise you would have never known! So you see – every negative can be transformed into positive – that is what the Saints have been doing that is what the divine Master has been doing and that is what each one of you should be doing – only then you all can become great Astrologers – and I would love you all becoming great Astrologers only when you realize that this whole UNIVERSE is all for POSITIVE – for LOVE – for the GOOD.

And so become Astrologer – in fact I think every person in this world should become an Astrologer – BUT not a bookish astrologer – but someone who is trying to find the answers through his own experiences – his own spiritual practice – his own understanding.

But who wants to listen? People are busy in debating who has read how many books of astrology and in this so called fights of intellectualism I am least interested.

There are all kinds of Astrology in this vast human world. Tibet.Nepal. Russia. China. Mexico. Every country and every learned society has developed its own interpretation of Astrology – of planets – of stars!

But our MIND cannot contain the WHOLE. Do you all know what is this WHOLE?

For now you all have to just understand the basic of CHALIT – that is NOT to confuse yourself with the house placements with CHALIT. If your MOON is in the SIXTH house – it means you are a person with doubtful nature. You are secretive. You also think a lot about your enemies. BUT at the same time – if there is a positive aspect to such a MOON in SIXTH – than let me tell you there is no other person in this world who is as SERVING as you! MOON in SIXTH (positive) can make a person immensely devoted to SERVE others. I have seen many HEALERS with this position. And if Jupiter joins in – then what to say – sugar in milk!

But NOW if this SIXTH moon goes in SEVENTH house in CHALIT then don’t ever think that this moon will give you results of SEVENTH HOUSE MOON from nature perspective – or MIND perspective. But evantually as the person grows – crosses the age of maturity – slowly the effects of MOON in 7th will start manifesting! See this is how CHALIT is – Progressing – BECOMING – FLOWERING!

I have two planets in my own chart in CHALIT state! And certainly life has progressed from one end to the other end – and I am thankful to all those who loved me in this journey of my life and also who hated me. Because the love I received helped me to walk through the fire of suffering and the fire of suffering that was so ‘lovingly’ showered upon me by those who hated me – helped me to turn inwards and meditate!

But before I end this answer and I don’t know if this answer will remain for long because Quora is always waiting to collapse my answer – but before I end this answer I want to tell you all – especially those who are going through certain sufferings of life – that suffering is there but it is NOT within you – it is on the OUTSIDE – on the circumference and unless you realize this – you cannot feel relieved of the suffering that is in your life.

When you self realize – when you learn to be a WITNESS of all that is happening in and around your life – you remain untouched – unmoved – unaffected!

The key is to learn to WITNESS.

Just one quality of the Buddha has to be remembered. He consists only of one quality, witnessing. This small word witnessing contains the whole of spirituality. Witness that you are not the body. Witness that you are not the mind. Witness that you are only a witness: As the witnessing deepens, you start becoming drunk with the divine. That is what is called ecstasy. – Osho

But then you all will question how to WITNESS – how to reach to that stage?

And the answer is – through DETACHMENT. You can reach to the stage of WITNESSING but only when you slowly and steadily start DETACHING yourself from all those people, things to whom you all have been CLINGING to!

Buddha says – You only lose what you cling to!

Jesus says – Only a man who is willing to lose everything can attain!

And Buddha never went to Oxford. And neither did Jesus. And yet I can tell that the mathematics that they share with us – is not only true but beyond the understanding of a common man! And yet it is beautiful and it is the ultimate TRUTH!

It always happens – when you do something good – you are ferociously opposed and condemned – that is the way of this human world – Saints were not shown mercy – what to say about you and me!

Enough for today. It is getting late. And it is time to meditate. You all – also spend some quality time with yourself. And what can be the best way of spending quality time than to spend it by turning inwards and meditating on Lord’s holy name!

MEDITATION is sticking to one thought. That single thought keeps away other thoughts. – Bhagvan Ramana Maharshi

Be it so – I am what I am – and it is always good to be what you are – that makes you beautiful – because whatever flows naturally is always beautiful!

The difference between a COMMON man and the real individuals is that the individual never bothers about the CONSEQUENCES – he simply fights for FREEDOM, for TRUTH, for LOVE!

And so we have one BHAGAT SINGH in a millions – we have one MAHATMA GANDHI in a million – we have one LOKMANYA TILAK in a million – these and many such great men NEVER bothered for what will happen to them or their family – they simply STOOD UP to their PRINCIPLES – their IDEOLOGY.

Lokmanya Tilak – one of the finest and greatest freedom fighter – who was fondly called as Tilak MAHARAJ! And there is a beautiful story to share….

Once it happened – Lokmanya Tilak was spending his days in prison – the Britishers had send him to jail for he was the most dangerous rebel and the Britishers were afraid that if we let this ‘lion’ give a free hand than he may simply throw us out of power. And so the Britishers put Tilak Maharaj in jail.

But even in the jail, even while in the lock up – Tilak did not stop. The Britishers may have arrested him – but his hands were still free to write!

And so Lokmanya Tilak started writing the Bhagvad Gita – and in that dark prison – in that utter darkness – he wrote one of the greatest simplified version of Bhagvad Gita that could lighten up millions of lives who had faith in him, who followed him and who loved him!

And after many months and days – he completed the simplified version of Bhagavd Gita – and on that day – when he wrote the very last sentence of the book – his joy knew no bounds – there was no light in the prison – it was a dark room but even in that darkness – Tilak could feel abundance of light flowing within his whole being – the book was completed – and he was now ready to rest. But the British officers were very cruel people – the moment they realized that Lokmanya Tilak has scripted a book – they came and they BURNED the whole book – imagine – just imagine what could have happened – how deeply the heart of Tilak would have moved with pain……seeing one of the greatest creation – his labor of love being BURNED before his eyes – imagine what – just image…..even as I write this – my eyes have become wet…..

BUT TILAK was TILAK. Looking at the ceiling of that dark prison and seeing the book burned by the British officers – Tilak said in Marathi – “ Punaccha Shri Ganeshaya” – meaning – “No problem – let me start all over again!”

That was how this GREAT MAN was – what a heart – what a NEVER GIVE UP attitude – how to express this – I am short of words – I am speechless…..a beautiful real picture of the greatest Freedom Fighter – Lokmanya Tilak, I prostrate before HIS GREATNESS….

But the story does not end here.

Lokmanya Tilak then started writing again and after many months and days – he again completed the same book – and by then his time to come out of the prison had come – he was finally released from the prison – and then it is said that the FIRST MAN whom TILAK gifted this beautiful book (Bhagvad Gita) was SAI BABA!

Sai Baba received the first copy written by Tilak and Sai baba blessed his book and Tilak was touched – his eyes became wet – very few words were shared between the two – when hearts connect – words are not required – the ‘communication’ happens in silence! Real communication happens in silence. Deep silence.

Never tolerate injustice. Never tolerate discrimination. Never tolerate domination of others – and NEVER TRY TO CHANGE OTHERS – because other never change – many have tried to change others and they all have failed miserably – because you can NEVER change the world – but you can change YOURSELF.

How to change yourself?

You can change yourself – when you ALLOW change to happen within you!

And you will allow change to happen – only when you *willing* to change!

You see – unless there is an intense WILLINGNESS – you cannot change!

AND once you are WILLING to CHANGE – you are READY. Once the READINESS evolves within you – then NOBODY can stop you from changing.

ACTION comes NOT from our thought – but from our READINESS to ACT – to CHANGE – to TRANSFORM!

And so never think and never wait for OTHER to change – rather get ‘ready’ to change yourself – your husband, your mother-in-law or your wife will never change – but you can change yourself – you can tame your mind and you can be more understanding.

When you love – you simply love! Then you cannot say that “I accept half – and other half need to change” – when you love someone you have to ACCEPT that person wholeheartedly – completely with all his or her good as well as not so good qualities!

But that is not what the husband or wife does! That is not what the girlfriend or boyfriend does – the moment they start living together – they start changing the other person and then the whole essence of love is lost – because love blossoms only when there is total acceptance – total freedom!

That is why I always say that if your girlfriend or boyfriend – if your husband or wife is meditating – then you also should meditate – otherwise you will remain behind while your partner will move ahead on the higher altitudes and then your wavelength cannot match – then the friction will happen!

Relationship or Marriage is like a ‘boat’ – in which both – the husband and wife / boyfriend and girlfriend should BALANCE the ACT – by following same life style – only then the level of ‘understanding’ between them remains the same and as long as the level of understanding is the same – marriage or relationship continues to blossom!

Understanding is not taught in any universities or schools. Understanding is something that one has to learn by turning inwards.

Buddha says “True Love is born out of understanding”!

Changing yourself – means scaling up the level of understanding within you!

To UNDERSTAND everything is to FORGIVE everything – says the Buddha!

The more a person is understanding – the more you like him. The more a person can understand your feeling – the more you share with him. The more a person appreciate your sharing – the more you connect with him. You see – everything comes to understanding!

And so come, come you all and spend some time in meditation. The matters of this human world are very sensitive – you have to raise your awareness and become more understanding. And to raise your awareness – you all have to meditate.

Meditation and understanding are synonymous. So when I say “understand in meditation,” I am saying to be silent, quiet, cool and see. You are not to do anything else, you have to be just silent, cool and calm, and see. And understanding arises on its own accord. It is the fragrance of being silent. – Osho

Always remember – in life you will meet many strange people who will become JEALOUS of your success, who will unnecessary – for absolutely no reason – will try to cause harm to you – will cause to disturb you – but you always have to remain AWARE.

Never let the noise on the outside disturb your inner peace. LET GO. RELAX. And get back ‘home’ – to the source.

Always remember – nothing lasts forever! Change is constant, except change – everything else changes – so just flow with your life, be more understanding and remove the very thought of changing others – because others can never change – BUT – You Can!

God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it’s me.

Does Astrology Block Free Will?

In this human world – every ‘art’ – whether it is Astrology, Hypnosis – NOTHING IS BAD or GOOD IN ITS TRUE SENSE.

And NOTHING is HARMFUL in the TRUE SENSE.

Understand the fact that the ‘SWORD’ is always neutral! The ‘SWORD’ can save a woman from a lustful man and the same ‘SWORD’ can also kill.

So you see – KILLING or SAVING – the SWORD remains neutral!

Then who is the culprit or the one who makes a SWORD – good or bad?

It is the MAN or WOMAN who uses the SWORD!

And so ‘Astrology’ – or ‘ MAGIC’ – or ‘Hypnosis’ is PURE ART – a beautiful ART that can either make a great DIFFERENCE – positive difference or negative impact – based on WHO is OPERATING – WHO is using the SWORD!

Astrology can be harmless and a great savior just the way a SWORD can be harmless and a great savior – IF YOU USE IT WISELY – IF YOU DO NOT MAKE ASTROLOGY YOUR GOD and you realize the FACT that ASTROLOGY is just a small part of this vast universe – that ASTROLOGY is NOT ABOVE GOD – GOD is ABOVE ASTROLOGY.

People often LABEL everything by categorizing them in GENERAL CATEGORY!

Let me tell you and to all my dear fellow travelers and followers that NOTHING in this HUMAN LIFE can be CATEGORIZE as GENERAL. There is NO GENERAL RULE – not in astrology – and NOT in life too!

Just because a certain woman with a certain name turned out to be a mess – an utter mess – doesn’t mean all women fall in the same category! Every man and every woman is NOT EQUAL and NOT UNEQUAL either – every woman and every man is simply UNIQUE – and one can understand and realize the UNIQUENESS in very man and woman – only when he himself realize his own UNIQUENESS! It is only when you yourself can JUDGE YOUR OWN HOROSCOPE – that you can JUDGE others – it is only when you can realize your OWN SELF – that you can realize the SELF in others!

It all begins with YOU – when you are feeling good – you feel the whole world good – and when you are in utter misery – you feel the whole world is in misery!

So you see – everything comes down to that one person – YOU – and when I say YOU – it is for all my readers.

Many people are afraid of the word – BLACK MAGIC. They think that is the only magic in this world. They are wrong – MAGIC is not just BLACK – it can also be WHITE!

You see – MAGIC is not bad – what is makes it bad or good – BLACK or WHITE is the man who practices it! If he is negative – he will make use of MAGIC for negative goals – if he is POSITIVE – he can use it for POSITIVE goals!

Black magic is nothing more than when a man has accumulated thought energy without throwing out his negativity beforehand. Astrology is all about TIMING. Magic is also all about TIMING.

From the very beginning of TIME – Astrology and Magic has been related with each other but that is a totally different topic – not to be revealed on this forum.

So one has to understand that the ‘SWORD’ is ‘neutral’. What matters is ENERGY and the INTENTION.

When I was very young – I was a great fan of the movie ‘Spider-man’ (the old series that had some great dialogues). If you watch closely – the ‘superpower’ is gained by the Hero – Peter Parker, as well as the antagonist. So both have ‘superpower’ – but one uses it for the betterment of the society – the other for the destruction of the society! You see – the ‘superpower’ has absolutely nothing to do with good or bad – ‘astrology’ has nothing to do with good or bad – magic has nothing to do with good or bad – the one who has to do with good or bad is the MAN who is in ACTION. You all have to decide – whether you are Peter Parker OR Dr. Otto Octavius!

Always remember – with power comes RESPONSIBILITY!

With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility.

One has to be AWARE. One has to be CONSCIOUS. One has to be GROUNDED.

Always remember a TREE loaded with FRUITS is always BENDING.

A Man loaded with wisdom is always living in humility. In fact he moves around with absolute no frills and fancies – he is AWARE, he is engrossed WITHIN.

Saint Kabir was such a man. Jesus was such a man. Buddha, Mahavira, so many enlightened beings – real beings – real Gurus – they never show off – they rejoice in their simplicity – life is beautiful only when you can be simple!

Whenever I see that a man is simple, a woman is simple – real simple and they approach me – I accept them wholeheartedly – because simple is beautiful. God is found in simple things – simple people – but in such a fake world very few are simple – the majority is all caught up with many complexities – they are too much in the mind!

Yesterday Mohan came – he said “You have to wear a certain dress – you have to talk in a certain manner – you have to be like this.”

I said “ Why you say so?”

Later I realized that it is not Mohan’s fault. It is the SOCIETY! The Society forces you and makes you believe that you have to wear ‘mask’ because you are expected to behave in a certain manner, to talk in a certain way, to dress in a certain way. You don’t have any freedom.

The society imposes a complete imprisonment on you, from all nooks and corners. This is your slavery and this is your misery. This is your pain and this is your hell.” – Osho

My father was a great astrologer and a very dynamic person – he was Aries. And he was a very famous journalist during his days and had met many spiritual dignitaries including Osho and Jiddu. His last years were spend in Shirdi – he used to run a weekly magazine dedicated to Shirdi Sai Baba. He always used his knowledge of astrology for good purpose. And he lived naturally – no frills, no fancies. No masks! I had been with my father when he visited Shirdi on 5th March 1995 – and we stayed for one day and he said “When I went to Sai Mandir – my head was totally blank – no questions – no wish nothing.” He must have got a signal – that time has come to exit. And the next day when we returned – on that same afternoon – he died. A massive heart attack – first and last. And I was 14 at that time.

Death is not bad – one has to accept death as a part of God’s will! I would say ‘Sai’s will’!

Do not contemplate on death; it is just an incident in life; contemplate on God, who is the master of all life. – Satya Sai Baba

In reality there is no such thing as FREE WILL. There is only one WILL – and that is GOD’s WILL.

A man who talks a lot about FREE WILL is in real danger – he can mess up and I have seen many such men and women messing up with their life.

AND I have also seen some beautiful men and beautiful women – who simply have lived their whole life by following GOD’s WILL! And they have evolved, they have progressed, they have transformed into a beautiful song, a music, a dance!

Good is not always God’s will, but God’s will is always good. – Watchman Nee

I always suggest – that do not rely too much on your FREE WILL – because you are not yet ‘ready’ to use your freedom wisely.

But intellectual men and women don’t understand. They will continue to talk a lot about FREE WILL – but they don’t know that FREE WILL or REAL FREEDOM is more dangerous than otherwise!

People like freedom, but they are fearful also. When the freedom is not there they think about it, they dream about it, but when freedom comes they become afraid because freedom brings with it many more things than they ever thought about. Freedom brings adventure, but insecurity also. – Osho

I DO NOT have FREE WILL – because I simply follow GOD’s WILL!

And that is what I would love to see my readers and followers do in their real life – because it is only when you ACCEPT and FOLLOW GOD’s WILL – that you all can truly evolve as ‘individuals’ – the majority is behind FREE WILL – I am encouraging you all to simply GIVE UP to GOD’s WILL – and rise – become ‘individual’ and not a part of the crowd!

Somebody asked “But why I am not able to live by GOD’s WILL? What is stopping me?”

And the answer is your reluctance – your unwillingness to SURRENDER!

It is only when you SURRENDER to HIM -that you can truly live your life by GOD’s WILL.

Once we surrender our mind to GOD completely, HE will take care of us in every way,

Always remember – GOD’s WILL is above all. People are talking about FREE WILL – I am talking about the beauty of GOD’s WILL. And whosoever is WITH ME – whosoever is following me – will understand the fact that NOTHING EVER IS POSSIBLE WITHOUT GOD’S WILL. Benjamin Franklin – what a great man – a genius and a great God Lover! The life of Benjamin Franklin is in itself an encyclopedia!

In fact the very foundation of today’s most powerful nation – US, is totally based on its strong FAITH in GOD. In fact it is only in the US – that every currency note is inscribed with four beautiful words – IN GOD WE TRUST.

It feels good to see a country build on FAITH – a country that has become one of the greatest superpower. You see – GOD’s WILL matters – above all.

In fact people talk a lot about freedom and being independent – and practicing free will and so on – but in reality – WE ALL ARE DEPENDENT ON EACH OTHER IN SOME WAY OR THE OTHER.

We all are dependent. Someone in the farm fields is working day and night so that we can have food, someone on the borders is guarding day and night so that we can have a good night sleep – in every way – we all need each other and that is what makes this world – a beautiful world!

Free will is not there and neither is slavery. Dependence and independence are both false words. They should be dropped completely, they should not be used. It is interdependance. I exist in you, you exist in me. The breath that was in me just a moment before has now moved and has gone into you. Just a moment before I could have said “This is my breath” – but where it is now? Somebody’s else heart is beating through it. – Osho

You feel the burden because you are still caught up in your FREE WILL.

Jesus feels NO BURDEN – Jesus says “ Come Follow Me – My Burden is Light.”

Because JESUS lives in GOD’s WILL. Jesus is not saying at all about FREE WILL – Jesus is all the time saying and emphasizing on GOD’s WILL!

You all will also start feeling lighter – the moment you all will suspend your FREE WILL and ACCEPT the benevolent compassionate GOD’s WILL!

Then there will be a great transformation WITHIN you – then there will a song to your life – then everything around you will be the same BUT you will be no more the same – then life will be no more a misery – this is the way of its happening – this is how it happens – when you LIVE your LIFE in SURRENDER.

Krishna says to Arjuna “Surrender to me.”

Jesus says to Peter, the fisherman “Follow me and I will make you the fisher of men.”

Buddha says to Ananda “ Follow me and all your burden will become lighter.”

And Ananda followed Buddha for many many years! And when Buddha left his body – Ananda attained enlightenment!

Everything is possible – only a heart that beats with FAITH is required – only a heart that is living in SURRENDER is required – only a heart that can be patient is required!

But who wants to listen? People cannot understand and so the miseries, the many traps, and the many tragedies.

Life always gives you a choice – what you choose is what you become, whom you follow is what you become – what you love is what you become!

LOVE is contagious – always be conscious of what you love – love something higher than yourself – something of the higher altitudes. When you bring awareness to your LOVE – something beautiful starts manifesting – then no matter what falls in your hand – it turns into GOLD!

The power is WITHIN you – and it is called the POWER OF FAITH – the POWER OF POSSIBILITY – the POWER OF LOVE!

To receive love – first you have to love yourself! Only when the ‘ripple of love’ forms around you – within you – that it can reach the farthest shores of the planet!

When there is LOVE blossoming within you – then the FEAR of HARM will never arise!

Buddha never was fearful. Jesus was never fearful of any harm. Buddha spend his whole life in bringing awareness to people – but never did he talked about FREE WILL – but always talked about the IMMENSE SIGNIFICANCE of GOD’s WILL!

And so come, come you all and meditate on GOD’s name – follow GOD’s WILL – never try to manipulate matters – because GOD knows the best – you may not understand what GOD is doing NOW – but you will come to know when the time is RIGHT!

Jesus Replied: You Don’t Understand Now What Iam Doing But Someday You Will. – John 13:7

GOD’s WILL is always in your favor. A man whom GOD chooses – whom GOD loves – is always tested – he then has to go through the fire of sufferings but in the end he comes out shinning – just the way a piece of iron metal comes out shinning when it goes through the fire!

GOD IS GOOD – ALL THE TIME!

And when you walk with such a beautiful feeling in your heart – tell me – will ever GOD let you fail? Never – because GOD is GOOD – ALL THE TIME!

Love and the Fifth House

The whole source of the Love that you seek – is in the FIFTH house of your birth chart.

LOVE is one thing. Marriage is other thing. Marriage is only a working partnership. LOVE is something else, altogether different than what marriage is!

Marriage is the decision of the intellect. Love is an entirely different matter. – Osho

Love has absolutely no relation to LOGIC, to RULES, to INTELLECT – it is quite unconnected to thought. Love HAPPENS – the word ‘HAPPEN’ is beautiful – I personally love this word – because whatever HAPPENS is never planned – it just ‘happens’!

Life is also something that – happens! Love, Life is never planned – it just happens. And so does – SANNYAS!

Love is Life, Love is God, Love is Sannyas. – Osho

That is the reason why 5th house is significant. That is the reason why 5th Lord is significant. And that is the reason why LOVE is significant.

Love needs tremendous COURAGE! When a man or woman is fired up with LOVE – they can go to any extent to attain the LOVE that they SEEK.

5th house also signify COURAGE. Remember 5th house is represented by the SIGN LEO – the LION!

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow. – Mary Anne Radmacher

Love is the ‘source’ that brings COURAGE. This LOVE can be the LOVE for a person or for the NATION! Freedom Fighters became fighters because they had tremendous LOVE for the NATION – Bhagat Singh, Lokmanya Tilak, Veer Savarkar – Mahatama Gandhi and many freedom fighters were aflamed with LOVE for our country – it is always LOVE that ‘triggers’ the whole story of life, it is always LOVE that brings life to our being.

Without LOVE a man is just a body, an empty temple without the DEITY. With LOVE the DEITY arrives, the temple is no more empty. – Osho

In the beginning you are seeking LOVE. Then someday and at someplace – you FALL in love. But the real ‘maturity’ comes when you no more fall in love but you become love!

Falling in love you remain a child; rising in love you mature. By and by love becomes not a relationship, it becomes a state of your being. Not that you are in love – now you are love.

The whole purpose of LIFE is to become LOVE!

Love is the GOAL – Life is the journey to attain the GOAL – LOVE!

Only a man who can become LOVE – can live LIFE in totality and only a man who can live life with LOVE – can one day attain the BUDDHAHOOD – (Sannyas)!

It is all inter-connected, and the thread that connects LOVE, LIFE, SANYAS is LOVE!

A man or woman whose 5th house is aflame with MARS – SUN – JUPITER or VENUS or MOON is indeed a man of LOVE – he loves ROMANCE. But one must understand that ROMANCE can of many layers – from the base to the high level!

One must understand that the Oxford dictionary defines the words ROMANCE as a kind of ADVENTURE!

And Adventures can of many levels and of all kinds – and the very first ADVENTURE that LOVE initiates is to ‘JUMP’ into the unknown!

Once you are in LOVE, once you are aflame with LOVE – once your whole being is fired up with LOVE – you can JUMP – you will JUMP!

That is how many LOVERS have JUMPED and RISKED their life – and there has been absolutely NO REGRET – because LOVE never REGRETS – when you LOVE, you simply LOVE!

And when this LOVE is raised to the HIGHER ALTITUDES – SPIRITUALISM – then you have someone as beautiful as JOHN, the baptist, Peter, the fisherman, Ananda, Arjuna – who has so much LOVE for their master – that they never looked back, never asked a single question, never raised any doubts – they SIMPLY JUMPED into the unknown – the followed the Master!

The love that happened between John and jesus, the love that happened between Sariputta and Buddha, Gautama and Mahavira, Arjuna and Krishna, Chuang Tzu and Lao Tzu – these are the real love stories, the highest pinnacles of love.- Osho

Love has many layers – the love that Buddha has will of different quality than the love that Hitler has! Hitler’s love will be hot – that is what the commoners know about love – to them LOVE always have to be HOT! Even when they eat dog – they want HOT DOG! So the concept of LOVE for the commoners is of HOT LOVE, SEXUAL LOVE.

But Buddha…..Buddha’s love is like that cool breeze, there is no demand, no conditions, when you in the omnipresence of Buddha – the love that you receive is different than the HOT LOVE that you have known.

The HOT LOVE that people have is not LOVE in totality – it also has the shade of HATE. The ‘fights’ is a result of that HATE – when the fight is over – you cool down and then again you are in the bed – making LOVE! You see – this is how the LOVE of the physical world is!

But BUDDHA – in BUDDHA’s LOVE you will find absolutely no shade of hate and so many may also find BUDDHA’s love as BORING because there is no ‘spice’ in HIS love!

You may say anything to HIM and yet he is NOT going to react. HE is simply going to SMILE and HIS smile is so penetrating that if you can receive – then his smile can simply penetrate into the deepest valleys of your heart and move you within!

Buddha is the highest the purest state of LOVE that knows only to SHARE, to GIVE and just to GIVE!

You can only GIVE if you HAVE!

Buddha has it – in fact Buddha is not just filled with LOVE – BUDDHA is LOVE!

Before leaving his body – Buddha had said to his disciples “ Do NOT make statue of me because once I am gone, I am gone. The statue can go on deceiving you for centuries.”

For five hundred centuries no statue was made. But later people started building statues of Buddha – when Buddha himself had said “ Do NOT make statue of me.”

There is a very deep meaning to the beautiful message that Buddha had shared with his disciples – and it is significant for you all to understand.

It is always easy to follow a STATUE – it is of BUDDHA but it is DEAD. It cannot move you – cannot disrupt you – cannot pull you away from your illusions!

But ALIVE BUDDHA – can ask you to do something that is in your interest but not in your favor! The ALIVE BUDDHA can ask you to drop everything and FOLLOW HIM – then it will be difficult because you are attached to each and everything – right from your CAR, HOME, to your WIFE and children and so ALIVE BUDDHA is dangerous – a STATUE is BETTER! Make nice STATUE – offer a nice garland of beautiful flowers – burn an incense stick – and that is all! You are safe – the STATUE is NOT going to ask for anything – you can safely say that I LOVE THE STATUE – but you will think twice if in the place of the STATUE – the REAL BUDDHA – the ALIVE BUDDHA is present because then the master is not dead – he is ALIVE and people always find it a challenge to follow the MASTER’s word – because THOSE words disrupt the MIND – and you are still caught up with the MIND – the MIND loves STATUES of MASTERS (it is a safe bet) – but the same MIND will start shivering if the REAL BUDDHA comes – because BUDDHA is the state of NO MIND and LOVE exists only when there is NO MIND but only the heart – the consciousness!

This no-mind is the Buddha, beyond this no-mind, you wull never find another Buddha. To search for enlightenment or nirvana, beyond this no-mind, is impossible. The reality of your own self-nature, the absence of cause and effect is what is meant by no-mind. Your no-mind is Nirvana. – Osho

To conquer others – you may succeed someday, at some birth cycle. But to conquer your MIND – to become the Master of your Mind – is NOT so easy. It may take a lifetime or many births until – the ‘Buddha’ is born.
“Buddha” is not a name, it is a title. It is a title that reveals the state of NO MIND. Buddha means the state of NO MIND. Buddha is NO MIND.

NO MIND – means NO LOGIC, NO HEAD – and LOVE HAPPENS only when there is NO LOGIC, NO HEAD – absolutely NO HEAD.

WHATEVER YOU DO – IF YOU ARE DOING IT WITH CONSCIOUSNESS – WITH FULL AWARENESS than that is the real morality – it is NOT fake – it is NOT because of any outside pressure – it is spontaneous, and very much a result of your own consciousness!

Western or Vedic: What’s Accurate?

Western Astrology has been unfairly treated and unfortunately because of the growing influence of Vedic Astrology in the Western countries- it has become a “ Narrative” that Vedic Astrology is Superior and Western Astrology is Inferior.

In reality both are EQUAL in their own rights. Today thousands and hundreds of Western Astrologers are practicing and consulting people by using the SAYAN AYANAMSHA ( TROPICAL ASTROLOGY) and so to sideline their way of looking at charts is indeed a sign of IGNORANCE.

In fact I would specifically like to mention that no matter from what PERSPECTIVE ( VEDIC OR WESTERN) you judge a horoscope – if you are a real astrologer and if you DON’T LIMIT yourself with a certain MINDSET and remain OPEN to trying and exploring both – Western and Vedic – and like an ant pick the ‘sugar’ grains from both then you can certainly derive a beautiful understanding of Astrology.

I have travelled to the US and I have seen closely how effective Western Astrology is as well as I also appreciate the many plus points of our Vedic Astrology.

Whether you are Capricorn or Aquarius can also be found with just one answer to the question that I ask – ARE YOU OPEN MINDED LIBERAL OR CLOSE MINDED CONSERVATIVE PERSON?

If you are spontaneous answer is – Option 1 – then you are Aquarius.

One good thing about Western Astrology is that they don’t follow any AYANAMSHA. They simply follow the tropical way – which is dynamic, changing and NOT static like Vedic astrology.

So reliability of Western Astrology as far as House Placement of the planets is concerned is very much accurate than that of Vedic Astrology.

Interesting the most popular KP Astrology invented by KRISHNAMURTHY borrows the PLACIDUS SYSTEM OF WESTERN ASTROLOGY.

In KP Astrology – the House and cusp lords are calculated through the Placidus system of Western Astrology. Hence it is a one of the major deviation of KP Astrology from Vedic Astrology.

KP Astrology simply has taken the JUICE from Western Astrology and added to it the FLAVOR of Vedic Astrology – leading to a hybrid mode of Astrology that blends the best of both – Western and Vedic Astrology!

The problem with VEDIC ASTROLOGY is the AYANAMSHA! There are over 20 AYANAMSHA- and with each AYANAMSHA the VISHOMTARI MAHADASHA changes! Also in cases where the Ascendant or planets are on 29 degree – the signs and the house placement changes!

It reminds me of a situation when I wanted to have a real nice ICE CREAM. And I was on a visit to the Sausilito Island which is near to San Fransisco. It was a Sunday and I thought to take a trip to the beautiful island. When I got down from the ferry boat – I decided to walk around the small downtown of Sausilito Island. And that was my first trip to the US and being a pure vegetarian I was skeptical if I could find an eggless ice cream. But I was taken aback when I stepped inside an Ice cream parlor and the shopkeeper said “ We serve vegetarian ice cream – no eggs.”

Poor me – I was hungry and I thought thank God – atleast I can have some ice cream.

I said “ Give me one cup if ice cream.”

The shopkeeper asked “ Which flavor you want?”

This is the QUESTION that arise when you are practicing VEDIC ASTROLOGY. WHICH FLAVOR ( AYANAMSHA) you want to cast your birth chart?

And the answer is never the same. Some prefer RAMAN ( Chocolate Flavor), some prefer LAHIRI ( Strawberry Flavor), some prefer KP( Orange Flavor) while some prefer Yukteshwar (Banana Flavor)!

But then I said to myself – my main need is to have ice cream – then why should I make things COMPLICATED by choosing FLAVOR ( Ayanamsha)? Rather it will be great if I just go for the PLAIN VERSION – VANILLA!

Western Astrology is the VANILLA VERSION – it is plain and on the circumference level it is GOOD.

Practical nature – real events – for this Western Astrology is best. Else KRISHNAMURTHY would not have borrowed the main cuspal chart theory from Western Astrology!

So when you are in doubt – ALWAYS REFER TO WESTERN ASTROLOGY SAYAN METHODOLOGY.

I am a great lover of FONTS and I like to read a lot about Fonts and how they were invented and used from the medieval period. Today we have millions of fonts – but during the Old Age – there was a saying – a famous saying “ That when in doubt on which font to use for your publication- always use GARAMOND FONT – it is a safe bet.”

Similarly when in doubt and when you are confused on which Ayanamsha to follow and whether your sign is Aquarius or Capricorn – always use WESTERN ASTROLOGY- it is a safe bet.”

Although I am an Indian – and come from a family of great Astrologers – I don’t discriminate between the various schools of Astrology. I simply RESPECT every school of Astrology because every school of thought brings something unique, something beautiful to our overall understanding of this beautiful science called – Astrology!

In reality NO AYANAMSHA can be stated as the PERFECT AYANAMSHA.

So PERFECTION is NOT the word. The real word that we all should chase is TOTALITY.

Astrology is NOT perfect. And because it is NOT perfect it is GROWING with so many intelligent beings across the globe – contributing through their own self experiences and research. Had Astrology been perfect – it would have been dead by now!

Perfection is a myth. Totality is the reality.

“Don’t think it in terms that you have to be perfect, think in terms that you have to be total. Totality will give you a different dimension.” – Osho

Perfection means death. Now there is no further going, but Totality is something that always keeps you going…you stay motivated when you are being TOTAL.

Questions arise because people are looking for a perfect answer. In reality there is never a perfect answer!

There is never a perfect school of Astrology- be it Vedic or Western. They are Total but not perfect and because they are NOT perfect they are alive and growing with time.

Your question does not specify whether you meant Moon sign or Ascendant sign or Sun sign.

But for the larger interest of my followers and readers let me brief a bit on this as well.

Moon sign is your MINDSET. How you PERCEIVE a certain situation in your life. A man living in a luxurious apartment may not find happiness but a man living is a simple small apartment may find happiness and enjoy a good night sleep. Because HAPPINESS is based on the STATE of your MIND.

A man who has LEO ASCENDANT has inborn nature of GIVING, SHARING, HIS HEART IS BIG – MEANING HIS NATURE IS OF GIVING. HE believes and lives with the thought that “NO ONE HAS EVER BECOME POOR BY GIVING”. Now even if his Moon may be in Capricorn or Aquarius- still HIS NATURE OF GIVING will NOT be affected because NATURE stands above the MIND. After all the Natural always stands out than that which is Artificial! And so a man with Leo Ascendant and Capricorn Moon will be a GIVER – a BIG HEART man – than when compared to a man with CAPRICORN ASCENDANT and LEO Moon. Because even though the Moon is in Leo and the man has the thoughts of giving but the nature is NOT of giving – the Ascendant is Capricorn and not Leo!

Sun sign is your INDIVIDUALITY. How you are as an individual. Whether you live your life by BEING YOURSELF and how you are as Person in Totality. All the traits of you as an Individual is seen through your Sun Sign.
