Exploring Rahu in Lal Kitab

Lal Kitab is a different system of astrology—unique in its symbolism, remedies, and approach. One who respects all systems of astrology is the one who evolves and goes ahead. But the moment you begin criticizing other systems, you become small—your view becomes limited.

If you truly want to become a good astrologer, first become a good student. And a good student is open to all systems—he gathers the best from each and creates his own unique wisdom, his own recipe.

In Lal Kitab, Rahu is symbolized as an elephant.
Why? What is the deeper meaning behind this imagery?

Origin of Lal Kitab

The Lal Kitab or Red Book is a deeply spiritual astrological text.
It was discovered by former British Indian Army officer Roop Chand Joshi, who received this knowledge through a divine medium and later compiled it into what we now know as Lal Kitab.
The book was originally written in an ancient Hindi script and carried a red cover, hence the name.

It is not just astrological, but also deeply mystical, with planetary insights expressed through symbolic language and parables.

Rahu and the Elephant

Rahu, in Lal Kitab, is symbolically associated with an elephant.
This association reflects Rahu’s expansive, majestic, and unpredictable nature.

Here are a few verses from the original Lal Kitab—written in Hindi—and their translations:

  1. “Rahu gaj jaisa hota hai. Agar madmast ho jaaye, kuch bhi bigad sakta hai.”
Rahu is like an elephant—if it becomes frenzied, it can destroy everything in its path.
  2. “Rahu ka prabhav haathi ke jaisa hai. Saadharanata shaant rahta hai, par agar niyantran mein na ho toh bhayanak ho jaata hai.”
Rahu is like an elephant—usually calm, but dangerous when uncontrolled.
  3. “Rahu ki chaal haathi ki tarah dheemi hoti hai, par asar dirghakaalik aur shaktishaali hota hai.”
Rahu moves slowly like an elephant, but its effects are long-lasting and powerful.
  4. “Rahu ka prabhav haathi ke jaise hota hai jiska ek pair gaddhe mein ho. Agar sahi disha mile toh samriddhi deta hai, warna vinash.”
Rahu is like an elephant with one foot in a ditch—if guided properly, it brings prosperity, otherwise destruction.
  5. “Rahu ki maya haathi ke samaan hoti hai—bahar se shant aur majboot, andar se chanchal aur bhramit.”
Rahu’s illusion is like the elephant—appears majestic and stable, but hides inner chaos and illusion.

The Five Layers of Rahu’s Symbolism in Lal Kitab

1. Illusion and Obsession
Just like an elephant’s massive body, Rahu represents expansive desires—leading to illusions and obsession.
One chases grandeur, fame, or success—but the soul feels disconnected.

2. Hidden Power and Mystique
Rahu, like an elephant, possesses latent strength.
Its presence is silent but impactful—bringing sudden changes, hidden challenges, or spiritual twists.

3. Wealth and Prosperity—with Caution
In many cultures, an elephant symbolizes prosperity.
But Lal Kitab warns: Rahu’s wealth may come with complications, hidden debts, or karmic traps.

4. Unpredictability and Fear
A wild elephant can wreak havoc—and so can Rahu, if unchecked.
Its presence demands respectdistance, and awareness. Mishandling its energy leads to chaos.

5. Need for Control and Discipline
Managing Rahu is like controlling an elephant.
It requires disciplinedetachment, and humility.
If uncontrolled, Rahu brings problems in health, career, and relationships.

The Showman: Rahu’s Need to Be Seen

In simple terms, the elephant loves to show off—and so does Rahu.

An elephant’s grandeur, its majestic walk, its commanding size—naturally draws attention.
Rahu thrives in the spotlight—it pulls people with illusions of grandeur, success, and status.

But as majestic as an elephant is, if it goes out of control—it becomes dangerous.
And so does Rahu.
Unchecked Rahu can lead you down the path of illusion, deception, and greed—resulting in deep suffering.

Conclusion: Rahu Is Duality

And that is why in Lal Kitab, Rahu is symbolized by the elephant:

  • A force of grandeur and illusion.
  • A presence of majesty and misdirection.
  • A source of prosperity and potential destruction.

Understanding this symbol is key to managing Rahu’s influence in your life.

Astrological Insights into Sexual Encounters & Relationships

Yesterday, Mohan asked a very significant question:
Which planets and which houses are responsible for sexual encounters?

It is a very deep subject—and many people don’t talk about it.

  • Those who have gone through certain sexual affairs will understand why it happened.
  • Those who, by mistake, got into such sexual encounters will understand what caused them.

Many times, you’re married, and then you get into an extramarital relationship.
Sometimes, you’re already in a relationship but end up cheating on your partner.

Now, there are people who continue making the same mistake again and again—falling from grace.
And then there are those who fall, realize their mistake, and rise again.
That is the real glory.
The real glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall.

Understanding the Houses

Let’s begin by understanding which houses play a role in attraction, bonding, and sexual activity.

5th House – Attraction

Attraction happens through the 5th house.
And this attraction is deeply rooted in past life karmic patterns—your taste, liking, and ideas about a partner.
You might see a beautiful woman falling in love with an utterly unattractive man—or vice versa.
But this attraction has a karmic foundation.

So when someone says, “I like you,” that emotional spark originates from the 5th house.

7th House – Bonding & Partnership

Bonding or partnership happens through the 7th house.
This is the house of marriage and public declaration of commitment.

Millions of people love someone but get married to someone else.
Love and marriage don’t always walk hand in hand.
Occasionally they do, but it’s not a rule.
The 7th house is also connected to the public, and hence, marriage becomes a social acknowledgment of a relationship.

All Kendra (center) houses are connected to the public and society.

8th House – Sexual Intercourse

The 8th house is directly related to sexual intimacy and intercourse.
There are married couples who are not sexually active, yet they share deep emotional bonding—that’s when the 5th and 7th houses are strong, and the 8th is dormant.

Then there are cases where the relationship is driven purely by sexual desire or violence.
In such cases, the 8th house is highly active, but the 5th and 7th houses are weak or inactive.

When the 8th house is afflicted by planets like Rahu or Mars, it leads to cheating, extramarital affairs, or multiple sexual liaisons.

So when the 8th is strong, and the 5th and 7th are weak—there is no emotional or bonding factor, only raw desire and indulgence.

And when there is no balance, you are bound to commit mistakes.

Understanding the Planets

Let’s now talk about the three main planets responsible for sexual encounters:

1. Venus

The natural significator of love, romance, and sensuality.
Venus shows your style of loving and being loved.

2. Mars

Represents passion, energy, and sexual drive.
Mars rules Scorpio, which corresponds to the 8th house in the Kalapurusha chart.

3. Rahu

Amplifies desires, especially unconventional, taboo-breaking desires.
Rahu can lead to obsession and indulgence in impulsive sexual relationships.

Planetary Combinations & Sexual Encounters

When Venus, Mars, or Rahu get connected to the 5th, 7th, or 8th house,
you are likely to experience sexual encounters in this lifetime.

The 8th house also brings suddenness.
So if you are going through the Mahadasha or Antardasha of the planet ruling the 5th or 8th house, you may fall in love and become sexually involved during that period.

  • If the 5th and 8th combine, it may begin with love and end in sex.
  • If only the 8th is involved, then it’s just sex—with no love.

No Shame, Only Awareness

There is nothing to be ashamed of.
Whatever happens, happens because of past karmic connections.

Yes, some people fall from grace.
But the real glory is not in pretending to be perfect—it is in rising after every fall.

Mistakes happen.
But repeating those mistakes again and again—that’s foolishness.
A wise soul learns, corrects the path, and grows stronger.

If you’re a good-hearted person, and you have made such mistakes—
whether it’s cheating or having multiple affairs
don’t carry guilt.
Just don’t repeat the mistake again.
Stay loyal.

Self-Righteousness Is Dangerous

I don’t like people who pretend they can never go wrong.
Such people are living in utter ignorance.

You never know when the planets will test you—
and make you an ass of yourself.

So never think, “I will never do something like this.”

Anything can happen with anyone.
History is witness to this truth.

Show Mercy. Be Compassionate.

Instead of criticizing those who’ve fallen from grace,
support them.
Help them.
Give them a second chance.

Because if it can happen to them,
it can also happen to you—or your children.

Be compassionate.
Yes, people should live with awareness.
But many times, it’s the karma of past lives that pulls them into such incidents.

If they are not repeating those mistakes again,
then they deserve your mercy.

One who shows mercy is greater than the one who gives punishment.

Venus Transit in Gemini 2025 – Impact on All 12 Signs | Aug 11 to 20: 9 Days of Divine Magic!

When you love, you simply love.
And so, as the planet of love—Venus—arrives in the sign of Gemini, how is it going to impact your life?

Love knows no logic.
In the absence of logic, love happens.
And if there is logic, then love cannot exist. Love and logic cannot coexist.
That is why, to experience the divine, you must drop your logic, drop your intellectuality.

As Sant Kabir says:
“To become my disciple, first you have to cut your head”—meaning you have to drop all logic and intellectualism.

Not everybody is capable of this. Only very few have experienced the ultimate.

Venus in Gemini: 2025 Transit

Venus is not very happy in the sign of Mercury because love is not happy in the company of logic.
Love exists only when logic is absent.
That is why love is greater than logic, and that is why God is love—and love is real.

When the whole world screams at you:
“You can never succeed.”
“You can never get married.”
“You can never have children.”
“You can never find a job.”
“You can never become a successful businessman.” —
That is when GodLove, is silently working to help you succeed.

What Is Love?

Yesterday I met Mohan after many days.
He asked: “How would you define love? What is the difference between argument and love?”

I smiled and said:

  • Argument means: I am right, and you are wrong.
  • Love means: You are right. Only you are right.

Because in love, there is no ego, no need to prove, no desire to win.
Love is not about being right—it is about being kind.
In love, the heart whispers:

“Even if the whole world misunderstands you—I won’t.”

In argument, the mind shouts.
In love, the soul surrenders.

Mercury Signs: Overthinking and Love

Gemini and Virgo are signs of Mercury.
These signs think a lot, overthink, and in this mad pursuit of logic—they miss experiencing love.

The mulatrikona rashi of Mercury is Virgo, which is the peak of logic.
That’s why Venus is debilitated in Virgo.
Venus is at its lowest in Virgo.

But in Gemini, Venus is not debilitated—though not very comfortable either.

However, this time—in 2025—the environment is different.
Because Jupiter, the light of higher consciousness, is also transiting through Gemini.

So now, as Venus transits Gemini, the presence of Jupiter makes Venus more comfortable.

When Will You Feel It?

The positive impact of Venus in Gemini will be seen between August 11 to August 20,
because until August 11Mercury (Lord of Gemini) remains retrograde.

So the real charisma of this Venus transit in Gemini will shine during those last 9 days.

Spiritual Message for All

Even if your dasha is difficult, these nine days can bring lightness and joy.
Stop overthinking. Start feeling.

When the mind is too active—you cannot sleep.
When the mind is quiet—you can sleep, you can listen, you can feel.

People escape to alcohol or smoking because they can’t take the pain of reality.
But even those things offer temporary relief.
Soon you return to your suffering.

The supreme solution is to turn toward God.

If the products of nature (alcohol, medicine, herbs) can give you temporary relief,
then imagine the immense power of turning directly to the source—God Himself.

That’s why many drunkards have turned to God.
And they became great saints.

Drop the Ego. Drop the Doership.

The sense of doership is the root of suffering.
Liberation comes from realizing you are not the doer.
All actions are the unfolding of a higher destiny. ~ Raman Maharshi

Surrender to the Almighty.

What stops surrender is the mind.

So begin with dissolving this monkey mind—through mantra chanting and meditation.

As Shravan Month Continues, Chant Daily:

Om Namah Shivaya

From Somebody to Nobody

The journey is to become nobody—that is Ketu.
We are trained to become somebody—that is Rahu.

The material world demands identity.
The spiritual world dissolves it.

Shiva is Shunya. Shiva is Silence.

Ketu helps you walk this path—from being somebody to nobody.

Banat Banat Banjai — says Lahiri Mahasaya.
Keep walking. One day, you’ll arrive.

If you’ve gone through Ketu Mahadasha, you’ll understand why Ketu can heal.
Read my book Why Ketu Can Heal if this resonates.

To all evolving souls reading —
Hold on.
The days ahead are beautiful.

Don’t give up.
Because before dawn, there is a dark night—but it’s a passing phase.
Soon, the sunrise awaits you.

Smile. And when you smile, you look beautiful.
This smile is coming.
Very soon. Especially between August 11 to August 20.

Jai Sri Ganesha.
Jai Guru.
