Living in House Number 4? What it mean in Numerology & How to Balance It

How is number four?

Numerologically, number four is connected with which planet? For many people, the number 13 or number 4 is not suitable. But for many people, the number 4 or number 13 is extremely suitable and very lucky also.

Always remember, never discriminate anybody on the basis of religion. As Mahatma Gandhi used to say, God has no religion. And there is a beautiful story for this, but I’ll share that story someday later.

Yesterday Mohan came with a new question. He asked, “I am planning to buy a new apartment, and I have liked a flat.”

I asked, “What is the flat number?”

And Mohan said, “It is on the top 10th floor and the flat number is 1003.”

I said, “Seems you are very much interested to enter the domain of Rahu, my fellow. Be aware, 1003 is Rahu and you are going through Rahu Mahadasha.”

Mohan immediately dropped the idea of booking flat 1003.

I said, “You can buy some other available flat, but be aware the sum total of the flat number must not come down to four.”

Whenever your house or flat number comes down to the sum total of four, you should make a note that Rahu presides over your house. So it is a given fact that you are living in a Rahuish home.

Examples:

  • 1003
  • 1102
  • 1201
  • 13

Any flat number whose sum total comes down to number four means the flat is under Rahu’s influence.

But a Rahuish home is not always bad.

It depends:

  • Who is the owner of the house?
  • What is the profession of the owner?
  • Is Rahu beneficial or not in the owner’s horoscope?

It all comes down to the basic horoscope.

That is why numerology is not effective unless you have a strong astrology knowledge base.

When is a number 4 house beneficial?

A number 4 house is positive and lucky for professionals working in:

  • Media (news reporters, anchors, journalists)
  • Print media (editor, newspaper jobs)
  • Public relations, PRO
  • Politicians, elected representatives, party workers, spokespersons
  • Film actors and actresses
  • Ambassadors, foreign country reps
  • Digital marketing field

Similarly, number 4 house is also lucky for those indulging in:

  • Underworld
  • Witchcraft
  • Frauds, cheaters, gangsters

So basically, Rahuish men and women who are active in Rahuish professions—for such people, number 4 proves beneficial.

Number 4 house brings you face to face with the public. So if Rahu is beneficial in your chart, you can become a popular public figure.

But what about those for whom Rahu is not beneficial?

Non-Rahuish fellows suffer from Rahu’s wrath.

A Ketuish person suffers from Rahu, and a Rahuish person suffers from Ketu.

Remedies for Number 4 House (if Rahu is not beneficial in your chart):

  1. Stick or paste a big-size Panchamukhi Hanuman picture on your main door (from outside).
  2. Start doing loban in your house every evening between 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Loban is generally done in Dargahs—divine places where the body of a great Sufi saint is buried and worshipped.

What is a Dargah?

A place of worship where:

  • Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists—people of all faiths come.
  • The divine vibration transcends all boundaries of religion.

Famous examples:

  • Haji Ali Dargah, Mumbai
  • Ajmer Khwaja Sahib Dargah, Ajmer

Those stuck in ideas like, “I am Hindu so how can I visit a Dargah,” will never understand.
They will remain stuck.

A place of worship, especially a Dargah, knows no discrimination—because the great Sufi saints never discriminated.

To them:

  • A Hindu was as good as a Muslim.
  • A Muslim as good as a Christian.
  • A Christian as good as a Buddhist.
  • A Buddhist as good as a Sikh.

A Beautiful Story of Sufi Saint Khwaja Sahib Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer:
He was a great mystic and a musician—even though music is prohibited in orthodox Islam.

  • He wouldn’t pray in the traditional way.
  • He would play sitar and other instruments as his form of prayer—five times a day.
  • Scholars and imams came to object, but his music was so prayerful, so divine—they would forget why they had come.

His fame spread across the world. He was called Khwaja Garib Nawaz, the one who shows kindness to the poor.

An Encounter with Another Mystic—Jilani:

Jilani came from Baghdad to visit Chishti.
Chishti, being humble, decided not to play music that day out of respect for Jilani’s orthodoxy.

He hid his instruments.

When Jilani arrived, they both sat in silence.
But the room filled with divine music—without any instrument being touched.

Jilani laughed and said,
“Master, rules are not for you. You need not hide them. Rules are for ordinary people. Your whole being is musical.”

Even without playing, his soul played. That was Moinuddin Chishti. A rose that cannot hide its fragrance.

Chishti respected Jilani so much that he hid his music. But his very essence was music.
The moment was filled with it—even in silence.

True masters are like that.
They are beyond religion.
They are angels who help you find the way.

Sai Baba’s Message:

Sai Baba spent his life uniting Hindus and Muslims.

  • When a Muslim came to him, he would say: “Ram tera bhalakare.”
  • When a Hindu came to him, he would say: “Allah tera bhalakare.”

Why?
To remind you that Ram and Allah are one and the same.
God has no religion.

If you truly love Sai Baba, you will never discriminate between a Hindu and a Muslim.

Love is the only true religion.

Religions, sects, nameplates—they keep you trapped.

The true essence of life is love.

You will continue to suffer and face miseries if you remain trapped within the walls of religion and dogmas.

Break the walls.
Only then will you experience true freedom.

Freedom Nurtures Love.
  • Possessiveness kills love.
  • Freedom nurtures love.
  • First love yourself.
  • Only then will you start loving others.

The first ripple of love has to rise within you.
Only then can it move outward.

If you can find peace within,
If you can find love within your being,
Then you don’t have to go anywhere.
God will come in search of you.

To find peace, to find love within, you must start meditating, start chanting the holy name of the Lord.

Chant:
Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram.
Meditate every day.

And when you meditate, remember:

You are not alone.
God is with you.
And God is watching you.

8 Nakshatras to Avoid When Travelling | Vedic Astrology Travel Guide

Death can happen anytime. On the 12th of June, there was an airplane crash here in India—in Gujarat. Around 200 people, or maybe more, died. So it is necessary that when you are traveling, you see the Nakshatra. Before you travel, you should see the Nakshatra—the Nakshatra of the day on which you are going to travel.

This accident that occurred on—12th June—happened when the Moon was in Mula Nakshatra. You see, Moon was in Mula Nakshatra. Mula Nakshatra is not good for traveling.

In this blog, I have mentioned about those Nakshatras which are not good for traveling, so that the next time when you plan to travel—by flight, by train, by bus, or even your own private car—you will know which Nakshatras to avoid.

But I am really feeling so sad that so many people died in that airplane crash. Just imagine—somebody’s wife, somebody’s husband, somebody’s child, somebody’s friend—so many died. And that is why I say, anything can happen at any time. So try to be good as much as you can. Don’t waste your time in petty fights, quarrels, and debates. Focus on your self-growth, because time is short and you never know when the exit will come.

In Vedic astrology, every action we take is influenced by the cosmic energy prevailing at that moment. And travel is no exception. Whether it’s a short business trip, a pilgrimage, or a long international journey, the Nakshatra at the time of departure holds immense significance.

Some Nakshatras support movement, progress, and protection, while others are best avoided as they can bring delays, obstacles, fatigue, or even danger.
Just as a sailor wouldn’t set sail during a storm, an aware traveler chooses the right Nakshatra before stepping out.

Nakshatras to Avoid When Traveling:

  1. Bharani – The Bearer of Burdens
    Bharani carries the intense energy of Yama, the God of death.
    Travel begun under this Nakshatra can feel heavy, burdensome, and tiring.
    It often leads to unwanted detours or mental stress, especially if the journey has a spiritual or professional purpose.
  2. Krittika – The Sharp Cutter
    Symbolized by a blade, Krittika burns with intensity.
    Journeys started under this Nakshatra may lead to conflict, injuries, or heat-related issues.
    Best avoided unless the journey involves emergency action or a disciplined purpose.
  3. Ardra – The Storm
    Ardra brings emotional turbulence and unexpected events.
    Ruled by Rahu, travel during Ardra can be emotionally exhausting, filled with delays or miscommunication.
    A time for inner journey, not outer travel.
  4. Ashlesha – The Entangler
    The serpent energy of Ashlesha can bring deception, hidden dangers, or mental confusion.
    Not the right time to begin a new journey, especially for important life events like immigration or ventures abroad.
  5. Magha – The Royal Seat
    Magha connects to ancestral power, but is too rooted in the past.
    Travel under Magha can feel restricted, karmically bound, or unproductive.
    It’s a good time to honor ancestors, but not to board a flight, train, or even your private car.
  6. Jyeshtha – The Elder One
    Jyeshtha holds power but can be isolating.
    It brings a sense of pressure or hidden competition.
    Journeys under Jyeshtha may face ego clashes, delays in authority approvals, or health sensitivities.
  7. Mula – The Uprooter
    A powerful Nakshatra ruled by Nritti, the goddess of dissolution.
    Mula is known to disrupt or unearth.
    Travel begun under Mula can face cancellations, luggage loss, or sudden upheavals.
    Often avoided for air travel or long-distance movement.
    Today, on 12th June 2025, Moon was in Mula Nakshatra when the airplane crash happened.
    So avoid Mula completely, especially for air travel or long journeys—even by your own private car.
    Mula is the most dangerous Nakshatra for travel. On your travel day, Mula should not be there. Please make a note of this.

  8. Revati – Last Quarter
    Revati is generally benevolent, but its last Pada is weak in terms of material support.
    Travel during this time may feel directionless, confusing, or prone to missed connections.
    So try to avoid Revati, especially the last Pada, on your travel day.

Additional Precautions Before Traveling:

  1. Avoid Rahu Kaal and Gulika Kalam
    These daily time periods bring confusion and loss of clarity.
    Every day has a Rahu Kaal and a Gulika Kalam—do not travel during these periods.
  2. Avoid Chaturdashi, Amavasya, and Ashtami Tithi
    These lunar days are spiritually intense but not ideal for outward movement.
  3. Moon in the Eighth House from Your Natal Moon
    For example, if your Moon sign is Capricorn, and on your travel day the Moon is in Leo (which is eighth from Capricorn), then avoid travel.
    This is a classic yoga called Ashtam Chandra, which brings vulnerability.
  4. Avoid Traveling on Tuesday and Saturday
    These days are generally not preferred for starting southward or intense journeys—unless corrected with proper remedies.

It is important to take the Nakshatra of the day seriously before planning any journey.
Astrology is not mere superstition. Its true purpose is to protect you from unseen misfortunes—like air travel mishaps, road accidents, or sudden disruptions.

So the next time you prepare to travel, please avoid these 8 inauspicious Nakshatras unless it’s absolutely urgent or there is a personal emergency.

Always remember:
Start your journey when the stars smile upon you.
In Vedic astrology, timing is everything. Just as we don’t sow seeds during a storm, we shouldn’t embark on important journeys under restless stars. The Nakshatra active at the moment of departure sets the tone for your entire journey. Whether it will flow like a river or feel like walking through thorns—it is the Nakshatra that decides the course of your journey.

Sun Transit in Gemini 2025 | Jupiter Combust 2025 – Impact on all 12 Signs

Sun has arrived in the sign of Gemini. And in Gemini, Jupiter is also transiting. So very soon, around the 25th of June, you will see Sun–Jupiter conjunction.

And let me tell you, combust Jupiter is not bad. There is a myth that combust planets are weak. They cannot provide any results. That is all myth. Maybe my next book will be on combust planets. Let’s see when it comes.

See, the sign Gemini is ruled by Mercury. Wheresoever Mercury is connected, the word that comes to me is multiply. And that is why the best day for shopping is Wednesday. Whenever you go for shopping on Wednesday, it is considered very auspicious—meaning next time also you will again come for shopping. You will get more money to shop. Let’s say you have to go for a haircut. Wednesday is the best day. In fact, today is Monday and Monday you should never cut your hair. Tuesday is also not good. Thursday is also not good. But Wednesday and Friday both are good for haircut. Maybe this week I will also go for a haircut.

So this coming of Sun in Gemini and its conjunction with Jupiter around 25 June is a sign that there is going to be certain positive development in your life. Because as per our Vedic astrology, Sun transits around 15th or 16th of each month. So today is 16th June and Sun has arrived in Gemini.

Always remember, the sign Gemini falls in the 3rd House of Kalapurush Kundali. And every love affair or every relation begins with communication—talking, phone call, chat. You see how the love affair or how the relationship develops—it always develops first through interaction. And that sacred domain belongs to Gemini, ruled by Mercury, the master of communication and connection. That is why in Vedic astrology, the third house, the seventh house, and the eleventh house are known as the Kama Trikona. This Trikona, or this sexual angle, is associated with desire and fulfillment. First comes the conversation—third house. Then the union—seventh house. And finally, through that union, the fruition of desire, the gain—eleventh house. Remember, combust planets never give negative results unless your chart itself has many afflictions. In astrology, people often condemn certain nakshatras, aspects such as combust or retrograde planets.

A little light is needed within you. But to deny God, nothing is needed. No commitment is needed. That is why people in the world condemn.

There is a very famous story: “The Great Fool.”

In a village, there was a fool. He was upset because no matter what he said, people laughed at him. Even when he said something right, people laughed. One day a monk came. That night, the fool fell at the monk’s feet and asked for a blessing. “Is there no way I can become a little intelligent?” The monk said, “There is a way. Condemn everything.”

The monk told him: “For seven days, whatever anyone says, make a negative statement. Someone says, ‘What a beautiful sunrise,’ you say, ‘What beauty? It comes every day.’ If someone says, ‘Jesus’ words are lovely,’ say, ‘What’s new in them? It’s all stale, borrowed.’ Always stay in the negative. Come to me after seven days.”

The idiot returned after seven days, with disciples and flower garlands. A band was playing. He said, “It worked. People now bow to me. They say I am a genius.” The monk said, “Now never go positive. Stay in the negative, and no one will be able to defeat you.”

So now that I have said combust Jupiter is positive, many fools will condemn my statement just to appear intelligent. But as I said, the psychology of condemnation is a cheap psychology.

And as you all know me, I say what is, because I love you. And love is possible only when you are truthful to yourself.

This type of prayer he was doing.

So Moses said, “Stop. Stop your nonsense! What are you saying? To whom are you talking? To God? And He has lice on His body? His clothes are dirty? You will clean them? And you will be His cook?”

The poor man said, “I have not learned it from anywhere. I am a very poor and uneducated man. I don’t know how to pray. I have made it up myself. And these are the things that I know. Lice trouble me very much, so He must be in trouble. Sometimes the food is not good—my wife is not a good cook—and my stomach aches. He must be suffering too. This is just my own experience that has become my prayer. But if you know the right prayer, you teach me.”

So Moses taught him the right prayer. The man bowed down to Moses, thanked him, tears of deep gratitude flowing. And he went away.

Moses was very happy. He thought he had done a good deed. He looked at the sky to see what God thought about it. And God was angry. He said:

I have sent you there to bring people closer to Me. But you have thrown away one of My greatest lovers. Now he will be doing the right prayer, but it won’t be a prayer at all. Because prayer has nothing to do with the law. It is love. And love is spontaneous.

When I love, I express it without thinking what the other person would think. When you love, you simply love. And so, my fellows, that is how it should be. When you love, you simply love. Let there be no logic.

 Oil. Rahu is oil. What does oil do? It sets you on ‘fire’ – whatever it comes in contact with is set to fire. It becomes easier to burn something when it has oil on it – Rahu is that oil – and oil is something that can never satisfy you!

Rahu aka oil remains unsatisfied. It wants more and more and more and more. Have you tried eating fried food – you want more and more and more. And no matter how much oily food you eat – you are never satisfied. That is how people eat a lot of oily food – the sense of satisfaction never comes – you simply want more and more. That is how Rahu is. Rahu rules food that is salty – oily – namkeen! When you are eating a Samosa, a Batata Wada, an oily fried Burger or fried potato chips – remember – you are feeding the RAHU-ish energy within you.

A man who is going through RAHU MAHADASHA or has bold Rahu in Cancer should avoid eating oily food – fried food – namkeen (salty) food – but who wants to listen? But who wants to listen? It has become a habit. And Habit is dangerous. Remember this – NO HABIT is good for your existence. Good Habit, Bad Habit – all habits should be dropped – because all HABITS are mechanical in nature – there is absolutely no awareness – to your action – you are just ‘doing it’ because it has become a habit.

Habit is bad; there are no bad habits, there are no good habits – habit is bad. And one should be awake so there are no habits. You simply live moment to moment with full awareness, not by habits. – Osho

RAHU makes you habitual. You have had your first intimate sexual experience and now you want it again, and again and again. And now it has become a habit – and you have become a slave of your habit. HABIT enslaves you-you get trapped and then there is no way out – until you bring awareness to your ‘self’ – else you will be finished by your HABIT!

All habits – good or bad – have to be dropped and nobody is going to tell you this – because either they are unaware or either they would not want you to become aware! But I am telling you – DROP ALL YOUR HABITS. In the beginning, it is going to be difficult – but slowly as you would try to perform an action with absolute consciousness – a certain grace will come to your actions – now you are walking – but your walk is not mechanical – there is a certain grace to your walk – when you talk – don’t just talk like a parrot – let there be a certain awareness within and then whatever you will talk -will be heard !

But unfortunately – we have parrots more – they just go on talking all that they have read in the books – it is all mechanical and so how are you going to find your answers?

Because I am not a robot – I have my conscious choices – I would rather help just one man or woman – but that person will be someone who is faithful, who has a certain depth of understanding – who is not mechanical but is trying to become more and more aware! RAHU-ish man lives his whole life by chance and NOT by choice! Because to make a choice – you need to be patient, you need to be understanding, you need to be satisfied with whatever you have. And RAHU is the exact opposite – RAHU wants a ‘chance’ – and so you have many astrologers, pundits, monks who are just waiting for a ‘chance’ and they will jump on it – to achieve their goals. You see – and that is how today’s corporate world is – it is a world of RAHU – where the slogan is – DO MORE – and that is all. Everybody wants MORE AND MORE AND MORE – whether it is SEX, MONEY OR POWER – they just want more and more and more. Nobody is willing to slow down – they all are in the mad race to get more and more and more.

“TOO MUCH IS THE ONLY SIN.,” say the divine spiritual master LAO TZU

And RAHU is TOO MUCH. So when RAHU is in CANCER – you are TOO MUCH EMOTIONAL person. And the house rules by MOON in your chart also have TOO MUCH of issues. Whole life is driven by emotions and emotions and emotions – there is simply no practical perspective.

Last life – you had been too practical – this life you are too emotional. The AXIS of RAHU KETU keeps moving 360 degree – and in this constant movement of axis – every birth and re-birth – you continue to ‘evolve’ based on your other planetary aspects.

RAHU in Cancer – affects your marital happiness – because RAHU is now placed in the 7th house of marriage – but this is not a thumb rule – let this be clear. RAHU in 7th house of marriage becomes the most destructive force ONLY when the MOON is placed in 8th house, 6th house and 12th house.

And so at the onset of the new year 2019 – I wish all my followers, readers – a very happy new year 2019 – I know many of you are going through many difficulties – in fact, you remember an astrologer only when you fall in trouble – just the way a patient remembers a doctor! But just wait till RAHU KETU Axis changes in 2019 March. And let me tell you not everybody is going to feel the positive change from MARCH 2019 – as God says “Those who have been LAST – will be FIRST and those who have been FIRST – will now have to be the LAST”

So if you are struggling now – post-March 2019 – you have some hope.

Remember – you can live in ACCEPTANCE only when you bring consciousness to your living – then and only then is there a possibility to bring a change in your life – it is only when you learn to accept the change that the transformation is possible!

Acceptance is the key to relaxation. When you are not trying to change things, to make life different, you simply relax! In that relaxation you breathe deeper, feel okay with everything around and nothing disturbs you. – Osho

RAHU desires no change, but you have to overcome this ignorance caused by RAHU – all kind of evil energies – black magic, spells are simply to block your consciousness – that is the job of RAHU – to keep you in the darkness of ignorance. Because the day you will come out of the darkness of ignorance – all the games of RAHU will start falling apart – all the evil schemes of RAHU will start failing – and so RAHU wants you to remain as an ignorant fool.

But I am helping you to overcome – I am encouraging you to come out of the darkness of ignorance and ‘see’ the light of consciousness – for it is the gift of consciousness that only human beings are rewarded with. Let this new year of 2019 motivate you to transform inside-out! Let your journey be focused on self-realizing the truth – for it is only YOU who can let change happen with you. The one that you have been looking for is – YOU!
