Jupiter has less to do with money and more to do with Wisdom. And so if you are going through the last stage of Rahu Mahadasha and you are hoping to receive loads of money as soon as you enter Jupiter Mahadasha then you are living in a fool’s paradise.

Jupiter Mahadasha has more to do with your self-growth. Rahu Mahadasha leads you to many illusions and poor desires leading you to nowhere. During the entire Rahu Mahadasha – you may earn good money but you remain under the dark shadows of ignorance that comes due to the intense desires that haunt you during the 18 years of Rahu Mahadasha. You make many wrong decisions during Rahu Mahadasha – no matter whether you earn millions of dollars during Rahu Mahadasha still you end up making many wrong choices in your personal life as well as in your professional life. Corrupt thoughts, corrupt actions – all of these pull you away from God-Consciousness. You become a two-leg animal during Rahu Mahadasha. However, as you enter the benevolent Jupiter Mahadasha – slowly slowly you start coming back to your senses…slowly you start transforming from a two-leg animal to a two-leg human being. So the Jupiter Mahadasha’s major goal is to restore you back to the human consciousness – so that you grow within. So the assumption that JUPITER MAHADASHA will shower loads of money in your life is a MYTH – Money is not important for Sri Guru – you come back to your senses, you evolve as a human being and you correct all the mistakes that you did during your Rahu Mahadasha is what matters to Sri Guru and so in Guru Mahadasha – the primary focus is on your self-growth. And remember – the more is the self-growth – the more you become capable of earning money – and moreover the money you earn remains because you are no more living a robotic life. During Rahu Mahadasha you were living a Robotic life however during Sri Guru Mahadasha – you get the wonderful opportunity to live a conscious life!

So now we will quickly discuss what happens during the Antar Dasha of Guru Mahadasha:

GURU GURU period is a high voltage period wherein you get a strong dose of awareness – it is as if you have opened your eyes after Rahu’s 18 years of Coma period. So during this wake-up period – you tend to struggle a bit – just the way you struggle to wake up in the morning especially if you have been slogging for a long time. Similarly, this period is not very productive though it marks the arrival of your awareness – it is as if suddenly you are awakened from a deep sleep.

GURU SHANI period is when you start getting a certain signal of wisdom – either you start taking efforts to focus on expanding your wisdom or you come in contact with a wise person who guides you. This is a period when many men and women meet their masters.

GURU MERCURY period is when you take a keen interest in reading books of wisdom. You also tend to incline towards communicating more, or your communication improves as well as you also do well in managing your finances. Overall this period marks a good rise in your living standards.

GURU KETU period is a highly spiritual period. Evolved souls go through many great spiritual experiences. You may also get rid of all kinds of black magic spells that were cast on you during your Rahu Mahadasha. So this period is an intense cleansing period – at the end of this period you feel much lighter and happier and you also evolve as a person.

GURU VENUS period is a great period that brings all kinds of comforts to your life. It may happen that you have been living a luxurious life from your childhood days – but now during this period, you will be able to actually enjoy the pleasures of life. Always remember – living a luxurious life and enjoying a luxurious life are two different points – there are many men and women who drive a BMW but cannot enjoy the drive and then there are men and women who simply enjoy the drive – then no matter whether the car is BMW, Toyota or Maruti Suzuki. Many times it happens – you eat in a 5-start Hotel and yet you don’t enjoy the food the way you enjoy when eating at home – so this is a period when you get the necessary setup that lets you enjoy and experience the many comforts of life.

GURU SUN period is a high voltage period wherein you become more resourceful. A certain shine comes to your Aura – and people start noticing you. You may wonder how come people are noticing your talent now when you had been exhibiting the same talent for past so many years! But that is how this world is – a stock that has absolutely no demand – suddenly sky-rockets to new heights – and everybody starts talking about it. Similarly, people start talking about you – of course in a positive way. It all depends on how much effort you have taken towards your self-growth before this period of GURU SUN antardasha – the more effort the more payback you will receive during this period.

GURU MOON period is primarily focused on settling you within. Meditative souls get more rooted within during this highly auspicious period of JUPITER MOON antardasha. It is excellent for speedy progress in meditations. However even for a common soul – this period helps – because it gives more clarity and makes the person more sorted. Suddenly you start feeling as if your mind is much sorted and even your near and dear ones start feeling that NOW you are a much-sorted person. This is also a period when you could receive more love from your partner and your mother.

GURU MARS period makes you more positive in your outlook. You become more active and conscious of your actions. You tend to think more before you execute any action. Focus on KARMA is more during this period. The whole aura around you is highly energetic and you become a more action-oriented person. Now you will not just dream but will focus on executing your plans to attain your dream. During this period you are highly productive and because of your high performance – you tend to receive many favors from your immediate seniors.

GURU RAHU period directs your desires on a positive track. Although you may become more desirous during this period still because of the presence of Sri Guru – the quality of your desires is of a higher level than otherwise. Always remember – you cannot drop your desire – you cannot destroy your desire – however, you can always purify your desire. One good example is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj – when he conquered the province of Kalyan – the beautiful queen of Kalyan was presented before Him – and the queen was extremely beautiful – so beautiful that no man could resist his temptation of not having her – however, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was such a great soul – that when he looked at her – the first words that came out of his mouth were “How great it would have been if my mother would have been so beautiful.” So you see – he related the beautiful queen to his mother and then released her with due respect. This is what purified desires are – the great King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj desired that his mother also should have been so beautiful – like the queen of Kalyan! He had absolutely no corrupt malign thoughts or temptation towards the captured queen – instead, he let her go with due respect. Rarely has this country seen such a great king – a king of such high caliber. In Saurashtra Gujrat – I had seen a monument of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the words written on it were very moving – it said “That had there been no Shivaji Raja then the whole Indian Subcontinent would have got converted to Islam.”

And these words are true because during the time of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj – the cruel Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb was determined to forcefully convert millions of Hindus to Muslim – however the presence of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj saved millions of Hindus from converting to Muslim. So when it comes to purifying desires – I think there is no better example than that of the great King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj or Rana Pratap or Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. The only Mughal Emperor that I hold in high regard is Emperor Akbar. Although he was born Muslim – he died as a non-Muslim – he established a new religion that had the best teaching of all religions – it was called Din-e-Elahi. Although the first part of his life was full of hatred towards the Hindus – his second part was full of love towards other religions such as the Hindus, the Sikhs, and the Christians and he contributed much to the society by providing a stable government with much prosperity and peace. So you see – Emperor Akbar is yet another example of a man who was bad in the first phase of his life but transformed into a great person in the second phase of his life. In fact, Akbar rose to such great heights of wisdom that great spiritual masters such as – Osho have specifically stated that Emperor Akbar indeed was one of the best rulers of his times. When Desires are purified – you change – you become more lovable, more approachable, more tolerant, and more mature. Self-transformation is totally based on the level and purity of your desires – always remember this. And this Jupiter Rahu period is one such period wherein you can actually evolve to new heights by purifying your desires. And desires are purified when you focus on living a satvik spiritual way of life. The transformation of desire happens through your self-awareness – and Jupiter gives you the platform to expand your self-awareness and thereby raise the quality of your life to new heights.

So overall – GURU MAHADASHA has more to do with your SELF-GROWTH. Money-making, buying new properties, and doing all kinds of show-off is NOT the purpose of GURU MAHADASHA – let this be very clear. However, during Jupiter Mahadasha through your gradual self-growth – you will gain more wisdom leading you to a much more blissful, satisfying life. Always remember – during Rahu Mahadasha – you were following Money – but by the end of JUPITER MAHADASHA – money will start following you – because prosperity always comes to a wise person – money always follows knowledge – knowledge never has to chase money and during GURU MAHADASHA you will indeed become a knowledgeable person than you were during Rahu Mahadasha. The great spiritual master Haidakhan Babaji says “Nothing can be achieved without knowledge and yet everything can be achieved just through a pure heart.”

Jupiter Mahadasha is simply a process – a blessing that helps you purify your heart by encouraging you to walk on the spiritual path – this 16 years of period simply motivates you to meditate, chant and thereby GET READY for the next period of your life – the period of SATURN MAHADASHA – when you start getting the actual fruits of all the self-learning that happened during this GURU MAHADASHA.

So if you are going through GURU MAHADASHA – then it is a period to GET READY – then whether this readiness is for material achievements or spiritual achievements – depending on the inclination of the native – the bottom line is – FOCUS ON GETTING READY.

“The Master appears only when the disciple is READY,” says Lao Tzu – this readiness from a spiritual perspective is the readiness to live your life in total surrender. Depending on the level of your awareness – and the level of your soul – you will succeed in getting ready – my sharing is only for a select few who understand my language and who resonates with my sharing.

Suddenly you are absolutely as hollow as bamboo, but your hollowness is not empty – it is full of joy and full of rejoicing. You will dance for no reason at all, you will sing for no reason at all, songs that you have not composed dances that you have not learned. They are just bubbling spontaneously in your consciousness. That is enlightenment, but don’t make it a goal.

Meditation is enough. Everything else follows on its own.

Retrograde Jupiter in the second house gives adverse results regarding finances and money. The native is unable to save money. Money comes but also is spent and the native constantly struggles to save money. The family of such a native is generally big in size or the native’s family enjoys a higher status in society. The native is generally born in a highly privileged family especially if Retrograde Jupiter is in Cancer, Pisces, or Sagittarius. The native generally eats less though he is a foodie by heart. Always remember – FOOD is life. Because you have food to eat – you are alive. And so one who loves food – loves life! And a foodie is always in love with life. You tend to dislike food when you dislike your life – when you are utterly depressed. And you like to have food and various delicacies when you are celebrating life-loving life! Jupiter in the second house is actually a very positive placement however Retrograde Jupiter placement in the second house takes away the glory – since retrogression tends to reduce the impact of positive results. However, still Jupiter is Jupiter – Sugar is Sugar – no matter what quality – sugar will always taste sweet. Similarly, even though Jupiter is retrograde in the second house – it is not bad. This placement delays the prospects of money-making though it never denies the prospects of money-making. Depending on the strength of Jupiter in the birth chart – and the sign it occupies – the result will vary. Retrograde Jupiter in Capricorn will give the worst results – while Retrograde Jupiter in Cancer will give much better results – the sign decides the outcome as well as the sign lord’s strength. If your moon sign lord is Retrograde Jupiter and is placed in the second house then you tend to get confused regarding your ideology and reality of life. The most significant quality of Being realistic is generally found to be missing in natives having Retrograde Jupiter in the second house. This can be a good placement for artists and poets however this is certainly not a good placement for those who wish to make a career in fields where you have to face the hard realities of life – such as crime, corruption, fraud, and politics. Health issues related to eyes, teeth, and throat occur with this placement. If moon is afflicted by Rahu or Mars then Retrograde Jupiter in the second house is a sign that the person may accept bribes – and work unethically. In a negative chart – this placement can make one selfish by nature and it is this selfishness that leads one to many miseries of life. Selfishness is the greatest curse of the human race. Your life becomes difficult when you tend to become more and more selfish. And your life becomes a garden of bliss when you start becoming selfless.

A negative chart having Retrograde Jupiter in the second house makes one ‘foolish selfish’ however, Retrograde Jupiter when placed in the second house and the horoscope has a very positive moon and sun placement then such a person is an altogether different type of person – he may starve to death but he will never compromise on his values. To the world – he may appear as a mad man – a totally insane person but in the kingdom of God – he is regarded as the most lovable person. Reminds of one such person – he became one of the greatest legendary artists – but ironically after death. Until he was alive – he was not known much for his work of art. His name was Vincent van Gogh. Vincent Van Gogh was a very unique artist – but nobody was willing to buy his paintings – it was difficult for the general audience to understand the depth of his unique paintings. It happens – when you are alive – people may not realize the worth of your works – but when you die – suddenly you may become famous. When Vincent Van Gogh was alive – struggling in his youth – nobody paid any attention to his work of art. His brother became worried because not a single painting of Vincent Van Gogh was sold. And so one day his brother paid some money to a man and and told him to go and purchase at least one painting. He said to the man “That will give him some satisfaction. The poor man is dying; the whole day he is painting, starving for painting but nobody is ready to purchase his painting — nobody sees anything in it.” Because to see something in Vincent van Gogh’s painting you need the eye of a painter of the caliber of van Gogh; less than that will not do. His paintings will seem strange to you.

His trees are painted so high that they go above the stars; stars are left far behind. Now, you will think that this man is mad… trees going up higher than the stars? Have you seen such trees anywhere? When Vincent van Gogh was asked, “Your trees always go beyond the stars…?” he said, “Yes, because I understand trees. I have felt always that trees are the ambition of the earth to reach the stars. Otherwise why? To touch the stars, to feel the stars, to go beyond the stars — this is the desire of the earth. The earth tries hard, but cannot fulfill the desire. I can do it. The earth will understand my paintings, and I don’t care about you, whether you understand or not.”

Now, these kinds of paintings you cannot sell. The man his brother had sent came. Van Gogh was very happy: at last, somebody had come to purchase. But soon his happiness turned into despair because the man looked around, picked one painting and gave the money.

Vincent van Gogh said, “But do you understand the painting? You have picked it up so casually, you have not looked; I have hundreds of paintings. You have not even bothered to look around; you have simply picked one that was accidentally in front of you. I suspect that you are sent by my brother. Put the painting back, and take your money. I will not sell the painting to a man who has no eyes for painting. And tell my brother never to do such a thing again.”

The man was puzzled about how he managed to figure it out. He said, “You don’t know me, how did you figure it out?”

He said, “That’s too simple. I know my brother wants me to feel some consolation. He must have manipulated you — and this money belongs to him — because I can see that you are blind as far as paintings are concerned. And I am not one to sell paintings to blind people; I cannot exploit a blind man and sell him a painting. What will he do with it? And tell my brother also that he also does not understand painting, otherwise he would not have sent you.”

When the brother came to know, he came to apologize. He said, “Instead of giving you a little consolation, I have wounded you. I will never do such a thing again.”

This is how Retrograde Jupiter in second house natives are – they cannot exploit others. And because of such a good ethical nature – they tend to miss the opportunity of becoming a millionaire but in the eyes of God – they are the real gems – whose value cannot be understood by shallow men and shallow women.

One significant trait of Retrograde Jupiter is that they are fond of opening bank accounts in multiple banks. In fact, they also love banking. Good bankers or financial advisors are born with this placement especially if Mercury, Moon, and Venus are well placed in the birth chart.

Normal Jupiter or Retrograde Jupiter in the second house native is my favorite. Because the very presence of Jupiter in the second house is a very positive sign – and such a person generally is well versed in languages and decent, wise in his disposition.

The most significant outcome of Retrograde Jupiter in the second house is that this placement becomes a great protecting angel when it comes to safeguarding you from the many attacks of black magic spells and voodoo spells. I can bet that if you have Jupiter in the second house and your moon and sun are not afflicted by Rahu then you will definitely overcome all the black magic spells cast upon you and in the end, you will emerge victorious by defeating all your open and secret enemies.

The remedy to strengthen your Retrograde Jupiter in the second house is by worshipping Lord Vishnu, and reciting Lord Vishnu Stotra or Shloka. The most effective Mantra for Retrograde Jupiter in the second house is the soothing Vishnu Mantra – “Aum Vishnave Namaha” “Aum Vishnave Namaha” “Aum Vishnave Namaha”- by chanting this mantra you will attain much progress in your finances as well as you will attract more income and prosperity in life. You should chant this holy Vishnu mantra 108 times every day without fail.

Another remedy is to avoid eating spicy food and stop eating street food – Retrograde Jupiter in the second house may indulge you in eating all kinds of food delicacies however if you don’t control your taste buds then you will end up putting a lot of body weight and some may even face challenges such as obesity.

Retrograde Jupiter in the second house simply is the message that you need to focus on your self-growth, your values, your ethics, and monitor your finances as well as your eating habits. Overall it is not a bad placement – it is just a reminder that when it comes to money, and food – you should be extra cautious.

The very nature of retrogression is to go against the natural flow of life. What is life? Life is energy. Energy is pure however you put this energy to use is totally based on your nature. Similarly how energy is put to use is based on the nature of the planet. Mars will use this energy to enjoy sex or to fight for rights. Saturn will use this energy to provide justice. Mercury will use this energy to communicate. Venus will this energy in pursuing work of arts and romance. Sun will use this energy to fulfill ambitions and to raise their status in society. Moon will use this energy for vivid imagination. Rahu will use this energy towards dragging you into many illusions and obsessions. Ketu will use this energy to help you turn inwards!

So you see – every planet or entity utilizes this universal energy based on its NATURE – SWABHAV.

So far so good. However what if the planet itself is not in good mood? What if the planet is not in its normal course of motion? What if the planet is stuck or slowed down? Then it is obvious that NOW such a planet is impotent in utilizing the energy in the way it was supposed to. For example – let’s say Mars is in retrograde motion – then such a retrograde Mars will be totally confused and thus cannot channel the energy towards fighting or towards having proper sexual intercourse. It is like a warrior under house arrest – he can’t move – he has to utilize his energy in a limited scope – and so you see even though he is a warrior – he feels frustrated and dejected. Now the next question that arises is whether the warrior is good or bad. The answer is based on the quality of Mars – its placement in the chart. If Mars is debilitated and retrograde then the situation is worst however if Mars is exalted and retrograde then the situation is better – at least the warrior i.e. Mars is a man of good quality – even though his movement has slowed down – he will not commit any serious mistake that a debilitated retrograde Mars may!

So in simple words – Retrograde Planet is unable to utilize the energy to its full potential. For example – a car can run at a rate of 100km per hour but now existence has put a speed limit of 50km per hour! So now it is obvious that the car will reach late – and so delays and more delays is a very common trait of retrograde planets. If you are supposed to get a promotion at the age of 32 – then you will end up getting a promotion at the age of 36. And so frustration and depression due to delays is something that happens when you have more than one retrograde planet in your birth chart.

Before I share the results of retrograde Jupiter in 12 houses it is necessary to remember that results is one thing and the message is another. The result is something that you cannot change – it is predestined. However, the message that a retrograde planet tries to convey to you is something very precious – because if you can understand the message of the retrograde planet then you can truly start working on yourself and rectify the shortcomings and thereby raise the quality of this life and life hereafter.

I will now start sharing the results of retrograde planets in 12 houses. The first planet that I would start with is – Retrograde Jupiter in 12 houses.

Before I begin – please note that Retrograde Jupiter results may vary based on the sign he occupies. If the sign is Aries, Scorpio, Leo, Pisces, Sagittarius, Cancer, or Aquarius then Retrograde Jupiter will be more positive. However, if Retrograde Jupiter is in Capricorn, Gemini, Virgo, Taurus, or Libra then Retrograde Jupiter will be impotent in providing positive results.

Retrograde Jupiter in 1st house – Health issues or personality disorder is a common observation especially when Retrograde Jupiter is placed in a negative sign – such as Gemini, Virgo, Libra, or Taurus. The character of such a person is always under the scanner – it does not imply that the character of the native is bad but it is just that he or she is constantly judged and criticized by others. Vitality is essential – however when Retrograde Jupiter is placed in the first house – then the vitality is low and so such a person may catch up with diseases or his health may suffer. One good thing that this Retrograde Jupiter does is that it helps the person in keeping his weight under control. So such a native generally is not overweight or doesn’t face issues such as obesity. Retrograde Jupiter in Ascendant gives good height to the native but in certain cases – depending on the Nakshatra of Retrograde Jupiter – the height is so much that the native looks an odd figure in public – because he or she is just so tall!

If Sun is afflicted in the birth chart then such a Retrograde Jupiter is not good when it comes to relations with the father. Either the father is absent or relations with the father are not always on good terms – in short happiness from the father is absent in life. Retrograde Jupiter is in itself a strong indicator of PITRU DOSHA meaning Ancestor curse – since the native has not behaved properly – in a respectful manner with seniors in the family. Retrograde Jupiter, therefore, is also a signifier that the native may face problems while dealing with his or her seniors at the workplace.

Remedy – Worshipping SURYA DEV – Lord Sun. There are many SUN TEMPLES in India and abroad – recently scientists found 8000 years old Sun Temple in Egypt. So find a Sun Temple and worship Lord Sun. Do Surya Namaskar by reciting the following 12 Surya Mantras:

Om Mitraaya Namaha (Praise be to the One who is the friend of all)

Om Ravaye Namaha (Praise be to the One who shines brightly and is filled with radiance)

Om Suryaaya Namaha (Praise be to the One who eliminates darkness and brings in light)

Om Bhaanave Namaha (Praise be to the One who is filled with brilliance and luster)

Om Khagaya Namaha (Praise be to the One who traverses the entire sky and is all-pervasive)

Om Pooshne Namaha (Praise be to the One who provides nourishment and fulfills desires)

Om Hiranyagarbhaaya Namaha (Praise be to the One with a golden-hued lustre)

Om Mareechaye Namaha (Praise be to the One who shines with the light of innumerable rays)

Om Adityaaya Namaha (Praise be to the One who is the son of the divine cosmic mother, Aditi)

Om Savitre Namaha (Praise be to the One who gives life)

Om Aarkaaya Namaha (Praise be to the One who is worthy of all glory)

Om Bhaskaraaya Namaha (Praise be to the One who is wise and illuminates the heavenly world)

Face towards the East direction and recite these 12 Surya Mantras repetitively for 20 minutes. If possible do these when Sun is rising.

Retrograde Jupiter in the first house moreover brings more attraction towards the unseen world – the cosmic world. Such a native is born with other positive aspects then inclination towards spirituality is very strong. If the horoscope reflects higher awareness then the native may also encounter certain spiritual experiences as well as may also get Darshan of enlightened masters. However, since Jupiter is in Retrograde – the native becomes a victim of self-doubt. Remember – Doubt is Death.

Self-doubt means – a lack of confidence in oneself and one’s abilities.

The greatest obstacle to your success is SELF DOUBT. Always remember – Never let self-doubt hold you captive. Self-doubt leads to low confidence and when your confidence is low – you tend to fail in achieving success. Self-doubt is very destructive by nature – and Retrograde Jupiter in the first house does bring this tendency of self-doubt. And when you are doubting yourself – it is natural that you will start doubting others as well! And that is exactly what happened with one noble King. There was one noble King – he was a good man but he was also a very doubtful man. It happened so – that while going around his capital – every night he would encounter a young man who always remained underneath a tree, sitting silently. Every night the king passed around the city in disguise to see whether everything was right or not. He always found that young man sitting like a statue, without any movement.

Finally, he could not contain his curiosity. He stopped his horse and he said, “Young man, forgive me for disturbing your meditation.”

The young man opened his eyes and he said, “There is no need for any apology because I am not meditating, I am meditation — nobody can disturb it. But whatever your curiosity is, please fulfill it.”

The king said, “I would love you to come to my palace. I will take care of you. There is no need to sit under this tree. Seeing you so silently, like the ancient story of Buddha, I have fallen in love with your silence, your gestures, your utter undisturbance. I invite you to come with me to my palace. I am the king.”

This is how the barbarous mind functions. The king asks the young man to come to his palace — inviting him — but deep down his unconscious wants him not to accept his invitation because that will mean he is still desirous of luxuries and palaces.

But that young man simply stood up, and he said, “I am coming.”

Immediately the whole scene changed. The King’s mind was haunted by DOUBT. The mind of the king was thinking, “What have I done? This man is still interested in the luxuries of a palace, being the guest of a king. This is not a great saint.” This is the old idea of the saint, that he should be as uncomfortable as possible. Discomfort is religion. Sick, hungry, torturing oneself in thousands of ways… and then you become a great saint. This fellow has suddenly fallen from his sainthood, in the mind of the king. But now it was too late. He could not take his word back; it would be too ungentlemanly.

But the young man was watching everything. He didn’t say anything. The king provided for him in the best part of the palace, with servants, and young girls to look after him — and he accepted everything. With each acceptance he was falling down in the scale of saintliness: what kind of saint was he? He accepted a beautiful king-size bed. He accepted all the delicacies of the palace.

The doubtful king said, “My God. What kind of a stupid person am I? This man has deceived me. It seems like he tricked me. Just sitting there every night, he knew I passed at that time, sitting silently like a buddha, he knew that I would be caught — and he caught me. And now it is very difficult either to swallow him or to spit him out. He is inside the palace.”

But how long can you carry such a state of mind?

After six months, one day early in the morning when they were taking a walk together in the gardens, the king said to him, “One question has been continuously harassing me and I want to get rid of it. Because of it, for six months I have not slept well.”

The young man said, “You can ask any question.”

The king said, “It hurts me to ask, but I want to know what the difference is between me and you. You live in the palace, you enjoy all the luxuries… what is the difference between me and you?”

The young man said, “I knew that this question was going to arise one day. In fact, it arose the same moment I stood up to follow you. You are not a very courageous man. You should have asked immediately. Why waste six months, and for six months unnecessarily disturbing your sleep. I can answer your question but not here. You have to come with me outside the boundary of your kingdom.”

It was not far away. Just a few miles away was the river, the boundary of his kingdom.

The king said, “What is the need to go there? You can answer me here.”

He said, “No. There is a need.”

Both went past the river. Standing on the other shore, the young man said, “My answer is that I am going ahead. Are you coming with me?”

He said, “How can I come with you? I have a palace, I have a kingdom, I have my wife, my children… I have thousands of worries and problems to solve. How can I come with you?”

The young man said, “Do you see the difference? I am going. I don’t have any palace, I don’t have any wife, I don’t have any problems. I was as happy under my tree as I have been happy in your palace — not a bit more or a bit less. My awareness is the same whether I am in a palace or in a forest.”

The king felt very sad at his ugly mind, that he thought such an ugly thing. He touched his feet and he said, “Forgive me even to think this. In my own eyes, I have fallen.”

The young man said, “No. Don’t do it. Seeing your tears and you touching my feet I have no difficulty, I can come back, but you will still start thinking, `My God. Has he deceived me again?’ I have no difficulty but so as not to be uncompassionate towards you, I will not come. Just let me go. The whole world is there and I don’t need much, just a tree to sit underneath. It does not matter to me at all.”

This is how DOUBT destroys all the good fate that was to come your way. Retrograde Jupiter should therefore focus on dropping all the doubts that haunt your mind – and also stop being too strict with yourself – you can have some fun – lighter moments are necessary to maintain balance in life. Yesterday – an American woman had come for a consultation – she is a Yoga Practitioner – she also meditates and chants every day. I liked her dedication to meditation and chanting but then she said “In the evening I watch some movies or some programs on television – because I like to watch movies and shows. But I feel guilty – is it ok to watch television shows or movies when you are on the spiritual path?”

Doubt – Self-doubt. I said to her “ There is absolutely nothing wrong as far as you watching good shows and movies that don’t corrupt your mind. It is always good to watch television serials since many a time you get to know the latest trends of society since certain challenges and present conditions of the society are reflected through ongoing television serials. Whenever you watch a movie or television serial – always watch as if you are just a witness – don’t relate yourself or your life story with whatever you watch on the television. If you are able to do this – then you can absolutely watch television and have some lighter fun entertaining moments – since that brings down your stress and the seriousness within you also fades away. Always remember – Don’t be too wise. Always remember to stop; don’t go to the extreme. A little foolishness and a little wisdom is good, and the right combination makes you a buddha – a little foolishness and a little wisdom. Don’t be just wise or else you will be a long face; don’t be just a fool or else you will become suicidal.”

And that is exactly what I would like to tell all those beautiful souls who have Retrograde Jupiter in the first house – that don’t be too serious and don’t be just a fool – find balance in life – a little foolishness and a little wisdom is the right combination that can make you a Buddha!

“देर आये,दुरुस्त आये “ (Der Ayee Durust Aye) – it means “You have come late but you have taken the right step.” In plain words – it resonates with the saying “It is better to be late than to be NEVER.” Retrograde Jupiter is a situation where the native takes time to understand certain values of life – it takes time to SINK IN.

However, once it sinks in – then they never turn back – then they are all set on the PATH – the PATH of righteousness – the PATH of awareness – The Buddha Path.

Now when it takes time to SINK in – SAMJHNE MEIN WAQT LAGTA HAI – then it is obvious that you will commit certain serious mistakes in life for you may regret later.

And so Retrograde Jupiter is a sign that the person is going to commit certain action (Karma) in the state of ignorance however when the thought of “How much an idiot I have been” sinks in – then they go through self-transformations.

So ideally Retrograde Jupiter is a story of a BAD man or an IGNORANT IDIOT transforming into a wise man – of course in the later stage of life – because self-growth tends to delay with this placement.

One significant aspect of Retrograde Jupiter is that these fellows always feel guilty about their acts. The feeling of guilt is actually not good for spiritual progress.

Jesus says “No one among you is free from sin” – Sin happens. What is Sin? Asked Mohan.

Sin is simply the absence of awareness. Whatever you do in the absence of awareness is SIN. And so SIN can be corrected – by bringing back awareness in your being. That is why the Buddhists don’t have the word SIN in their ‘dictionary’.

Retrograde Jupiter is a man who is too much caught in the ideas of guilt conscious. And because of being too guilt conscious – such a person always feels insecure – he is always trying to get validation from others – he is always eager to hear others say – that he is a good man. He needs certification of being good – because he is constantly fighting the battle of being guilt conscious.

Jupiter is the GURU. And who is your FIRST GURU? The very FIRST GURU in life is your FATHER. Now when GURU is RETROGRADE – it is obvious that there is some problem or issue with the FATHER. Either there are differences with the Father or the Father is a very unique person and that he is not easily reachable or the native cannot truly relate with the thoughts of his or her father.

Retrograde Jupiter actually is a sign of certain challenges when it comes to seeking a spiritual master. The question of whether the spiritual master is available in physical form or not is irrelevant. Always remember – GURU is not the physical form.

“Guru is not the physical form. So the contact will remain even after the physical form of the Guru vanishes.”

The Bhagavan used to say – “You will be disappointed if you hold onto my physical feet because one day this physical body will disappear. The greatest worship is worshipping the Guru’s feet that are within oneself.”

SELF is the GURU says the Bhagavan – Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi. SELF means the consciousness within you. Because GURU is nothing but PURE CONSCIOUSNESS! And so when you start living your life with more and more consciousness – someday you are going to meet your master who is the LIGHT OF CONSCIOUSNESS!

So meeting the GURU in physical form is irrelevant – what is relevant is that you CONNECT with your GURU – and this is exactly where RETROGRADE JUPITER native falls short of – he or she is unable to CONNECT with the GURU. This is because of JUPITER in a retrograde state. It simply implies that this PAUSE state of Jupiter is a second chance given to you – so that you take efforts towards improvising yourself and rectify yourself – thereby in the next birth – you come out as a person who has had his share of learning and is now a better version of oneself.

No matter whether Jupiter is a beneficial planet or not – RETROGRESSION always is a STATE that demands that you PAUSE to introspect in the matters ruled by Jupiter as well as the matters that fall under the house ruled by Jupiter in your Ascendant as well as Moon chart.

RETROGRESSION of JUPITER is simply a signal to PAUSE, to INTROSPECT, to REFLECT.

Now the question may arise that why certain individuals are born with a message to PAUSE and introspect?

And the answer is because they have been going wrong. They have been doing something wrong and so the existence gives them a chance to PAUSE and introspect in the form of RETROGRADE JUPITER.

Many a time when you are doing certain wrong things in life and when you visit the divine master then you know what the master says? The master says “Let’s walk”. This walk is a state of PAUSE – in which the master help you realize your mistakes. And the master is so soft – so compassionate – that just his voice – his few words are enough to bring tears to your eyes! And those tears become the foundation of your self-transformation! After all who is born as SAINT – nobody. Jesus says “No one among you is free from sin” however what makes you unique is your intensity to transform – that is why Nelson Mandela writes to his wife – “A SAINT is a SINNER who keeps trying.”

This nature of trying and trying is what eventually transforms you into a beautiful butterfly – then you are no more an ugly caterpillar – you become a beautiful butterfly.

If you ask me then I would say that YES – Retrograde Jupiter is indeed a sign that something has gone wrong in the conscience of the native – however, it is also TRUE that GOD has been kind enough to give him a second chance to take STOCK.

One needs to get the balance right between action and reflection. With so many distractions, it is easy to forget to PAUSE and take STOCK. Retrograde Jupiter is a sign that the native has been allocated this life to PAUSE and take STOCK of his own doings – his level of awareness – his mistakes and so on. Basically, in simple words – it is a golden opportunity to get yourself right by being more introspective.

And ideally in good quality horoscopes – Retrograde Jupiter – does make the native introspective and when there is a certain spiritual inclination to the horoscope then the person does not limit himself with mere introspection but starts TURNING INWARDS – and that indeed is the TURNING POINT of his life.

Remember – the only TURNING POINT in life is when you start TURNING INWARDS.

Shallow people ask “When will the turning point come in my life?” To them, the turning point of life is limited to when they will become rich and have all pleasures of human life.

However, an evolved soul is not a common soul. Such a soul is perfectly aware that the real turning point is when you get hold of the REAL GOLD – the SELF. And you can get hold of your SELF only when you go deeper and deeper in your self-inquiry.

Remember – only when you go deeper into life by turning inwards that you can truly understand the beauty of life. Life is like a musical instrument and only those who deeply dive inwards – can truly create great music out of this musical instrument called LIFE.

Reminds me of a beautiful Sufi story. In a very ancient family, there was some musical organ, but people had completely forgotten how to play it. Generations came and people even forgot that it was a musical organ. It was gathering dust.

It was a very big organ and it was taking up much space. One day the family decided to throw this nonsense.

They said, ‘This is just a nuisance. Why should we keep it?’ They took it out; they threw it on the road.

They had just reached home when a beggar started playing upon the organ.

Time stopped. They simply turned. The whole traffic stopped, people came rushing from their houses; they forgot everything. For one hour the beggar was playing on it.

It was so beautiful, so enchanting — they were just hypnotized. And when the music ended the family demanded their organ back.

The beggar said, ‘It is not yours, because a musical instrument belongs to one who can play with it. There is no other ownership. It may have remained in your house for many centuries but it doesn’t belong to you. You are not worthy of it. I am the owner!’

And of course, the whole crowd agreed with the beggar — that he was the owner — because what does one mean by ownership?

A musical instrument belongs to one who can play with it.

And that’s how it is: life belongs to those who can go deeper and deeper and deeper into it.

RETROGRADE JUPITER is a golden opportunity that makes you go deeper and deeper into yourself – in self-inquiry. Of course, the soul has to have a certain quality to it – else this wonderful opportunity is also lost. When RETROGRADE JUPITER falls with many malefic planetary aspects then the native simply is not able to take advantage of such a golden opportunity to reinvent oneself.

It is said that when things are bad – it is time to reinvent yourself. Retrograde Jupiter gives you this chance to reinvent yourself however if RAHU obstructs or if Retrograde Jupiter sign lord is also retrograde or in a bad state then this opportunity to reinvent yourself goes down the drain.

Reinventing yourself is a chance to RISE back in this eternal journey called life. Always remember – the greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. Retrograde Jupiter is thus a state in which you can rise every time you fall. As I discuss this beautiful placement of RETROGRADE JUPITER – I wonder what a coincidence it is that today is also GURU POORNIMA – a day specially dedicated to expressing gratitude towards the benevolent Guru – the master. The significance of GURU is beyond the power of words but there is one man who has expressed the significance of the GURU in the most beautiful way possible. His name is SANT KABIR.

SANT KABIR says if Guru and God are both in front of me, I will greet the Guru first as he is the one who showed me the path to God. On this auspicious day of Guru Poornima, it is necessary to revisit the definition of GURU as stated by Sant Kabir.

Sant Kabir says “He is the real Guru Who can reveal the form of the formless before your eyes; who teaches the simple path, without rites or ceremonies; Who does not make you close your doors, and hold your breath, and renounce the world; Who makes you perceive the Supreme Spirit whenever the mind attaches itself; Who teaches you to be still in the midst of all your activities. Fearless, always immersed in bliss, he keeps the spirit of yoga in the midst of enjoyments.”

The most beautiful essence of Sant Kabir who himself was such a great divine master is that he emphasized living in the material world, executing your daily responsibilities and while doing all of this – maintaining the spiritual side of your life. Kabir never advocated the idea of renouncing this material world. And that makes Kabir the most beautiful and greatest saint. He belonged to the lineage of saints who don’t look down on the material world but who teach you and encourage you to BALANCE your material life with spiritual life. Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi also never encouraged his devotees to renounce and become a Sannyasi. One close devotee and classmate of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi quotes:

“Living with Bhagavan induced a spirit of renunciation in many, including myself,
but Bhagavan always discouraged his devotees from taking the final steps of physical renunciation.
My urge to take sannyasa subsided and eventually disappeared.”

Such are the real masters – masters who don’t compel you to renounce and stop having your normal course of material life – but they are the real masters who help you attain balance in life – by executing your worldly responsibilities while focusing on your spiritual growth.

“Even in the world, the yogi who faithfully discharges his responsibilities, without personal motive or attachment, treads the sure path of enlightenment.”
– Mahavatar Babaji

It is necessary to remember that by renouncing you don’t get a visa to ENLIGHTENMENT. Enlightenment is possible only when you overcome the Mind. And so people renounce – they escape to the Himalayas – but how can they escape their MIND? How can they escape from all the desires of the mind? A man who says “I have no desires” is fooling himself. Because who is this “I” – until this “I” remains – progress on the spiritual path is not possible. This “I” is your EGO. People who renounce – they continue to carry this EGO – that I HAVE RENOUNCED EVERYTHING – you see even in renouncing the EGO remains. The “I” remains. That is why in the Holy Bible it is said “That I must decrease and HE must increase”. This HE is the holy Lord. When you become smaller – only then the master’s omnipresence will increase in your life. And the day you become completely empty – SHUNYA – then there is only the master and nobody else. How beautiful is this state – Arjuna had experienced this state – his whole being was filled with KRISHNA – LORD KRISHNA. Reminds of a beautiful story. Once – Rukmini asked Krishna “What is so special about Arjuna? Why he is your favorite disciple?”

Krishna smiled and said, “Because he is constantly remembering me – no matter in what state he is – his every breath is filled with my name in it.”

Rukmini said “But then even I continuously remember you – I continuously chant your name. Then why I am not your favorite?”

Krishna said “ You will find your answer. Today – at midnight you visit Arjuna and see for yourself.”

Rukmini said, “But at midnight – he must be in deep sleep.”

Krishna said “ That is why you should go – that is the time when you will come to know about his greatness and why he is my favorite?”

Rukmini was Lord Krishna’s wife. She also had great spiritual powers. So with her spiritual power – through astral journey she visited Arjuna. It was midnight – the whole capital was in deep sleep. She looked at Arjuna – Arjuna was also in deep sleep – but something moved her – she could hear the chant of “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Hare Krishna” and the sound of the chant was coming from Arjuna. Rukmini was taken aback – her eyes became wet – this was impossible – even when in deep sleep – Arjuna’s whole body was vibrating with the beautiful soothing name of Krishna – Hare Krishna! Even when in sleep – this man had not stopped chanting – she could hear the rhythm – the sound – the music – and it was so enticing that she remained until sunrise. When Arjuna opened his eyes – he could see Rukmini standing before him – her eyes were filled with tears. She folded her hands before him and said “I am touched by your devotion – now I can understand why Krishna loves you so much.”

My friends – this is how a true disciple is. We all call ourselves disciples but we are still very far from the state of real discipleship. Always remember – before you start finding your GURU – first become a good disciple – and when you become a good disciple – when devotion is overflowing your being then the master will appear before you. You don’t have to seek the master – the master will come in search of you – when your devotion will flower – when your inward journey progresses – and when you stop being a doer. I hear many people saying that “I should do this” – and “I should do that” – as long as you remain a doer – you will continue to suffer in life.

“The present difficulty is that man thinks he is the doer.
But it is a mistake.
It is the higher power which does everything and man is only a tool.”
– Ramana Maharshi

Your progress on the spiritual path will happen only when you stop thinking about it. When you stop thinking that it is YOU who is chanting – it is YOU who is meditating. The evolved soul is perfectly aware that it is the grace of the master that enables you to chant – that enables you to meditate. And so he never takes credit or he never lives with the belief that “I am doing everything”.

There is no such thing as a “SELF-MADE MAN”.

A man who lives his life with the belief that he is a self-made man – never progresses in the true sense. Never evolves to new heights.

However, a man who lives his life as a “GOD-MADE MAN” – is already on the surest path of enlightenment.

The state of RETROGRADE JUPITER is simply a wake-up call – a call to help you self-realize that there is no such thing called self-made man – because man is merely a tool – whatever happens – happens with HIS grace. Benjamin Franklin- one of the founding father of the United States quotes:

I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth that god governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?”

A man who understands the fact that HE is not the doer – he is merely a tool in the hands of the mighty Lord is indeed a blessed man. Such a man has a bright future – and when I say bright future – it is not about millions of dollars and Rolls Royce cars – it is about realizing yourself – and coming back to the source – CONSCIOUSNESS. GOD-CONSCIOUSNESS.

Coming back to the level of consciousness that you had fallen from – is primarily the message and the purpose of Retrograde Jupiter.

The word ‘Retrograde’ has to be first understood. Why the word ‘Retrograde’? The English dictionary defines the word ‘Retrograde’ as moving backward. In more explanatory terms – the word Retrograde means “to go back on the progress that has been made.”

A man is in a relationship. Venus matters when it comes to relationships. Venus is going retrograde – now the same man would look back on the progress that has been made in his relationship – maybe he may just sit back – maybe a certain question would arise – the woman would want to get married – the man is not ready – he wants to take his own time to make a decision – sometimes both of them – go into a retro-mood – and start analyzing – the many good and challenging points of their relationship – so you see – nothing is moving ahead – the relationship has come to a point of halt – it is going slow, backward – in rounds and rounds of thoughts – that’s retrogression – “to go back on the progress that has been made.”

Right now Planet Venus is still in the sign of Libra from last 3.5 months. When in reality Venus transits a zodiac sign in just 28 days! But this year (2018) – Venus went retrograde from October 5th to November 16th! And so imagine – how many relationships would be going through a retrogression mode? I personally have received almost over 100 cases – where either there has been a break-up, or relationship is going through certain hurdles. So you see – retrogression is ‘state’ that is neither good nor bad. It all depends on the progress you have made so far!

In reality – a planet to whom we address as a Retrograde planet is NOT going backward – let this be very clear. This is deep, and this is of significance.

In reality – such a planet has simply slowed down – somewhere the energy of the planet has slowed down – who slows down the energy – and to this – no one has found an answer – even the scientists are scratching their heads but no specific answer has been found so far! But our ancient seers and saints had. The energy to which we address as God – God-consciousness!

EXPERIENCING ITSELF FROM DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES, -IN WHICH EACH OF US CREATE THE LIFE WE EXPERIENCE.”

The divine God-consciousness to which many addresses as – Krishna-Consciousness (ISKON) or Christ-Consciousness is the energy that impacts the slowing down (in our words – retrograde)of the Planet! The Planet is not moving backward – rather it has just slowed down – in life – God slows down us as well – is that bad? No, it is a blessing in disguise – because in this slowing down – in this state of retrogression – God simply wants you to sit back, introspect, meditate and understand who you are, what is it that you are doing, through this retrograde state – God is simply giving you ‘window’ of opportunity to discover your true self – a rarest of the rare opportunity to transform yourself – to make you *revisit* the matters of life so that you understand what works for you and what doesn’t! It is during the retrogression period that you come to a state where much has to be cut, much has to be dropped. Only the very essential has to be saved; the nonessential has to be completely destroyed.

And by the time you come out of retrograde state – you have got much clarity on what works for you and what isn’t – whether it is a relationship – or office matters, or family matters or even enemy matters! At the end of retrogression – you are slowly coming towards a conclusion – to where you want to head?

Mercury goes retrograde almost many times in a year. I had a friend, she was the Director of an IT company in the US. During one my trip to the US – during one conversation with her, I realized how much she gets worried when Mercury goes retrograde! And that is understandable – one certainly should not make any decisions – when Mercury goes retrograde – the period of retrogression is to analyze, look within, turn inwards – to find answers to a certain query, a certain project that you may have in your hands, it is, in fact, a great time to brainstorm on an idea – but not make a decision – it is only after the brainstorm – after the revisiting – after the retrograde state – that a good decision can be made! So – RETROGRADE PERIOD – use it for decision-making – but DECIDE only when the Planet is no more retrograde but have become Direct. Let a week pass after the retrogression period is over and then make a decision!

Now – when you have a Retrograde Planet itself in your Birth Chart – tell me – how would you look at it? It is simply a signal that this human life of yours have certain ‘matters of life’ that you got to REVISIT, RETROSPECT, REVIVE. It is a ‘left-over’ Karma of your PAST LIFE – and this human life has been bestowed upon you – so that you complete the unfinished business of your past life! Remember – everybody is born to pay for their past life karma – but in retrograde case – it is not about paying the dues – it is revisiting the unfinished Karma – and ensuring that is finished – and in reality, it does finish because of the existence – the existence ensures that the cosmic law is justified.

What is the difference – retrograde and normal state of the planet?

Retrograde example – A young man is getting ready to marry the love of his life – and suddenly he goes back on his decision – he runs away from his marriage. Now what? This man is reborn with certain retrograde planetary placement around his marriage aspects/house – where it determines – that now the unfinished business of marriage has to be addressed – the marriage has to take place for the native (soul) to move on with his cycle of birth and rebirth!

Normal example – Here the story has moved on – the young man has gone ahead, married the love of his life – now – how he lived his married life – whether he was loyal to his love, whether he was a good husband – whatever the quality of karma related to his marriage – will be seen in his next birth chart when he is reborn. Here you will see no sign of a retrograde planet in regards to his marriage. Here he is simply made to pay his dues – if he was a good husband – he will be getting a positive placement for his marriage – if not then accordingly he would be put to ‘task’! So in a normal state of planets – the story of life is moving on – progressing – but in retrograde – it has “to go back on the progress that has been made.”

A man or woman with a retrograde planet has NOT gone all the way – at some point, they have quit – and so now they have come in this human world to FINISH the unfinished business that they had quit in their last human life.

“If you must begin then go all the way, because if you begin and quit, the unfinished business you have left behind begins to haunt you all the time.”

And generally, it is found – that these retrograde community of individuals complete the unfinished business that they had left behind (past-life).

A whole birth – a whole human life is awarded to them – just so that they can address the unfinished business of their last life – and so usually they do meet success in it.

Unfinished business – but related to what aspect of life? This is understood from the planet and the house it is placed in!

In your case – the sixth house – determines many parts of human life and human affairs – but on a higher level and from a positive angle – it has more to do with SERVICE – to SERVE! Somewhere the native has quit from serving someone – now who is this someone – for that other aspects are necessary to understand. But the core point is to SERVE – to FORGIVE enemies – to either finish certain disputes by being MORE COMPASSIONATE – MORE UNDERSTANDING in your daily routine life. It is also an indication that one must demonstrate loyalty towards those who provide him with employment. Since Jupiter is a planet of compassion and love – here – the message is simple – BE MORE and MORE Kind – do not indulge in REVENGEFUL ACTS – learn to live in a LET-GO!

To meditate is to LET-GO!

A man with a retrograde planet in the SIXTH – should learn to live in a LET-GO. Existence wants you to LET-GO of all your disputes, your misunderstanding, your unfinished grudges, and enmities – existence wants you to come out clean and the only way to come out clean – is to simply stop reacting and learn to live in total acceptance – and that is what the Buddhists call – Tathata! Tathata is to live in suchness – such are the things – such is the situation – there is simply no question of accepting or rejecting – you simply live in suchness – TATHATA! And a man who lives in suchness is called Tathagata!

To learn to live in a let-go – you have to first – find yourself and you will be able to find yourself only when you lose yourself in the service of others!

When going through the Mahadasha of any retrograde planet – remember you have to be more understanding, more meditative and you have to learn to Let-Go – the period of a retrograde planet is your testing time – and you will pass only if you REACT LESS and RESPOND MORE! Certain unfinished matters of the retrograde planet will come to you – and so you have to be more humble, more compassionate and more serving towards others. Serving because in your case it is the sixth house!

The sixth house is the house of service! Serve more and more people – selflessly – don’t run away from the responsibility of serving and soon your next life the matters of the sixth house and the house ruled by Jupiter would be no more in the state of Retrograde – but flowing profusely – like a beautiful running river!

Truth is violently opposed. False is readily embraced. And this is the greatest tragedy of human life! People have certain imaginary ideas about Jupiter.

If I tell you that you are going to suffer more in your Jupiter period than Rahu – if I tell you that you are going to go through more difficulties than the previous Rahu period – you are not going to listen, because in your head – you have certain beliefs – and the beliefs say – Rahu is bad, Jupiter is good.

And so when you are going through Rahu – you miss life. And when you enter Jupiter period – you miss all the fun – beliefs are not always true, but our experience is.

If you have a belief and you come against an experience which the belief says is not possible, or, the experience is such that you have to drop the belief, what are you going to choose — the belief or the experience? The tendency of the mind is to choose the belief, to forget about the experience. That’s how you have been missing many opportunities when God has knocked at your door. – Osho

You have been clinging to the belief that Jupiter Dasha is the best of all! And Rahu Dasha is the worst of all. And that is where you go wrong – you simply have been living with a belief.

Belief is a closing of the mind – then the aperture is closed, then you don’t look. In fact, a man who believes becomes afraid to look. Maybe the truth is against the belief. Then what to do? – he closes his eyes. It is easier to protect one’s belief with closed eyes than with open eyes. Who knows? – the truth may not coincide with your belief. – Osho

Your belief may never let you know the truth. And the truth is – that many people are facing difficulties while going through Jupiter Dasha. But the quality of these difficulties is different than that of Rahu! The intention of these difficulties is different than that of Rahu. The message of these difficulties is different than that of Rahu! What is the difference?

A thief slaps you in the face – you are terrified. A teacher – a master slaps you in the face – you are enlightened – you are awakened! You see – how deep is this-this is the difference. But people are ignorant – they have crazy ideas about life -they want life to give them more and more comforts, happiness, joy – but the reality is something else – and the reality is – that life is filled with more suffering than otherwise!

Life without suffering and experience is NOT life – says Socrates. And Gautama Buddha says “Life is suffering.”

As children, Siddhartha and Jesus both realized that life is filled with suffering. The Buddha became aware at an early age that suffering is pervasive. Jesus must have had the same kind of insight, because they both made every effort to offer a way out. We, too, must learn to live in ways that reduce the world’s suffering. – Nhat Hanh

Suffering is the sole origin of consciousness.

But people – especially common men don’t get it. And so they either try to run away from sufferings, problems – and in this futile effort they visit many astrologers, pundits – just so that they can ‘skip’ the suffering – the pain! It is like the wheat crops – saying “please prevent us from the winds, the rains, the storms” – and that is what happened – God said, “Your wish is granted.” –

After one year – the crop grew taller than ever! The farmer was happy – the crops were happy – but then when the farmer crushed the crops to get the wheat grains – there was nothing inside – it was all empty! And that is how people who run away from sufferings, from challenges – remain ‘Empty souls’!

life is not about happiness.. and knowledge ind pain and heartache. without any of that you might as well just be a empty soul.

Jupiter – when is positioned as Marrakesh – remember – HE is going to slap you – but the slap is not to cause pain – but to awake you, to raise you to the higher altitudes of life – to brings a depth of awareness, consciousness within you.

This PAIN is not to make you sad, remember. Thats where people go on missing… his pain is just to make you more alert- because people become alert only when the arrow goes deep into their heart and wounds them. – Osho

SO – it doesn’t matter where Jupiter is placed – as long as – Jupiter becomes a Marrakesh – a Killer planet for you – remember this killing is the Killing of your EGO – this killing is the beginning of a new journey – a journey when you are REBORN! And that is what Jesus says to Nicodemus “To experience God, to experience love, to experience the divinity – you have to REBORN.”

This death caused by Marak Jupiter is not the death of your physical body – but the death of all your illusions, your elusive dreams – your fantasies – so that you come face to face – with the truth, with the reality of life – this death is the birth of your wisdom!

How beautiful is this – and how caring the Gods are – that they give us suffering – they slap us – just to bring us to our senses – to our consciousness!

And so I salute such a Marak Jupiter – yes he is Marakesh, yes he is going to cause certain difficulties, certain sufferings – but all those are just to bring you closer to God – and if this is what one can truly understand, truly realize – than life becomes a garden of bliss! Then you know – through the sufferings you are being chosen for the divine kiss – God’s kiss.

Pain and suffering have come into your life, but remember pain, sorrow, suffering are but the kiss of Jesus – a sign that you have come so close to Him that He can kiss you. – Mother Teresa

And so I appeal to all my followers – do not go into depression when you go through Marak Jupiter Mahadasha Effects – for this is a great journey of revival – a wonderful journey of transformation – inside out – only if you are meditating, only if you are becoming more and more meditative!

People are afraid when Jupiter becomes a Marak (Killer) planet – don’t be.

A master is a master – he may take you through certain difficulties, challenges – but that is not to cause you pain – but to make you strong, that is not to pull you down – but to raise you higher – remember the heart of the master is always flowing with love – you will not understand what HE is doing with your life – but later you will.

Jesus replied, You don’t understand now what I’m doing, but someday you will.

But to understand the depth of Marak Jupiter – a certain understanding has to be there – only then the truths can be given. What has happened or is happening – is just a smoke of fear – a business of fear – you call someone ‘Marak’ and you then just keep running away from that planet – this is how the mind functions – the mind creates its own fears and then the same mind makes you suffer. But who wants to listen? People are just happy to live a shallow life – with some shallow meanings of the certain bookish terms – and there are millions of books on astrology – and you will read all of them, you will become a Pundit, a scholar – and yet the true meaning – the real thing is missed, it is simply missed! This real thing can only be found within you-you have all the answers – just look within – turn inwards and meditate.

Let your life be deeper, more understanding – let the light of consciousness drive you towards finding the deeper meaning of this wonderful journey called life!

Jupiter is the master of universe. And no house can disturb the Master! Let this be very clear.

It is not Jupiter that is afflicted or disturbed by a certain house. It is the house that is disturbed.

For marriage – sex is required – the art of love making is required – a satisfying sexual union is required – in the case of marriage OR love relationships – along with love, physical or to be precise sexual union is also required. And Jupiter in 7th – makes the matters worse for marriage or for instance real sexual unions! Here Jupiter brings a flavor of ideology – obsession towards having a virgin woman or man. Now in this Kali Yug – who the heck is going to get a virgin man or woman to marry – somebody who is never touched! But Jupiter brings many unwanted moral expectations – leading to many problems in marriage or relationships. Here Jupiter damages the house of seventh – the very nature of house seventh and seventh lord is physical or sexual union – and Jupiter just makes it a difficult deal when it comes to satisfying sexual desires!

There was a man – and a woman was attracted to him. She liked him, she wanted to have ‘deeper’ relation with him – sexual. But this man hesitated, when asked – he said “Who knows if she is safe to have sex with!” – So you see – man with Jupiter in 7th makes matter worse – Jupiter here prevent you from having a smooth sexual union – raising many questions of morality, ethics, safety, trust etc. Many men and women with this placement of 7th house Jupiter are found to be either marrying late or having a failed marriage but not divorced – because Jupiter in 7th – again creates an egoistic view of what the society will say — if divorce takes place! So they remain quiet, unsatisfied in marriage – and yet always smiling – who wants trouble? So they keep smiling, that is the best way to hide the reality.

Marriage, live-in-relationship or simply call it a sexual union – these all are critical to human existence. And so 7th house is extremely important when it comes to experiencing happiness! From all the 12 houses – if marriage fails, if sexual union is not happening, if sexual satisfaction is not drived from a relationship then life certainly becomes an arid land – especially for the souls that are not much evolved. And so to answer your question – there is no worst or bad house for the master – Lord Jupiter – but Jupiter makes the 7th house a difficult house to ‘yield’ its natural results which is marriage, sexual union. The same 7th house Jupiter when placed in the 1st house (ascendant) changes the whole scenario – from negative to positive!

Let it be very clear that all those so called celibates, monks and nuns who repress their sexual needs – reach nowhere – and so you read so many ‘sex scandal’ news around these so called fake celibates, monks and nuns.

Sex is not to be condemned, but respected. Sex is the source of our existence – and how can you condemn the source of your existence? Instead of condemning sex – understand sex. Understanding comes only through real experiences – those experiences can be of this birth or last birth – but without sexual experiences – you cannot understand what sex is all about! And the day you understand sex – you would be able to overcome sex – and that would be your rebirth – that would be the day your true spiritual journey begin! When Jesus says to Nicodemus – Nicodemus is a great scholar of Jerusalem, and he arrives on a dark night to seek the truth, to seek God, to seek true spirituality – Jesus says to Nicodemus “To seek the truth, to seek God – you have to Reborn.” – To reborn means to drop all that you have been running for – EGO, SEX, POWER, MONEY – and Nicodemus understands the message of the master – he goes on to become one of the 12 Apostles (disciple) of Jesus Christ! This is real spiritual journey – not that comes through condemnation and ignorance, but one that comes through deep understanding, and consciousness!

Unless your sexuality rises and reaches to love it is mundane, it has nothing sacred about it. When your sex becomes love, then it is entering into a totally different dimension — the dimension of the mysterious and the miraculous. Now it is becoming religious, sacred, it is no longer profane.

“Sex can be transcended and should be transcended, but transcendence has to be not against nature but with nature, Through nature. Accept your sexuality — it is part of you! and a tremendously important part. You are born out of sex. Each cell of your body is a sex cell. Sex energy is your life energy! — respect it, it is a gift from God. Understand it. Be more and more meditative about it. But drop all prejudices, drop all condemnations. because when you carry a condemnation you cannot understand a thing. Drop all judgements. Sex is sex — it is a pure natural energy. With great acceptance, love, respect, meditate over it. Go deeper and deeper into it to see what exactly it is. And in that very seeing you will be going beyond it.” – Osho

And Jupiter in 7th house exactly does the opposite! Here you become that typical moral inspector – who will close his eyes, put hands on his ears as soon as the topic of sex comes up – and when you condemn or run away from a topic – you never get away with it – in fact it goes deep into your being and remains a question that is never understood in reality!

“The person who is free of sexuality, whose sexuality has become a transformed phenomenon, is also free of money, is also free of ambition, is also free of the desire to be famous. Immediately all these things disappear from his life. The moment sex energy starts rising upwards, the moment sex energy starts becoming love, prayer, meditation, then all lower manifestations disappear.”

The moment a man of awareness realizes the futility of sex – he is ‘on’ the greatest journey of his life – a great transformation – spiritual transformation awaits for him – but this happens only – when you ‘go through the experience of sex’ – without experience – one cannot understand the futility of sex and without understanding – one cannot become a true celibate!

So the answer to your question is – it is not the house that affects Jupiter, it is Jupiter that affects the house – in which HE dwells! The King decides what to do with the house, not the house – and Jupiter is the King of Kings!

Yesterday Mohan asked a very interesting question. He said “ How come you go OUT OF YOUR WAY to help certain men and women and How come you simply REJECT certain men and women? Because to those whom you reject will definitely criticize you, label you.”

I said to Mohan, “ Mohan my attitude and whole approach is based on the VIBRATION of the person who comes to me for seeking the answers to his or her questions. And to feel the VIBRATION, only the words that he or she type on WhatsApp or just the voice is enough. I quickly get a sense of what kind of person one is. Those whom I reject are those who APPEAR as good but in reality are worse then Devil. I understand them just by their WhatsApp message. And then I reject them. There are men and women who also have cheated me but they have met with very bad incidents in their life. There are people who come to seek consultation and then start providing their own suggestions which I never asked for. So you see – many such idiotic people are around this world. And then there are few beautiful people — they are so sweet fellows that for such men and women I go out if my way to Help them. For such men and women my doors are always open.”

Attitude is based on how the other person is from within and how he or she behaves.

When people try to take UNDUE ADVANTAGE of your GOODNESS – and when you sideline them – then such idiotic people start talking about your attitude when at first place they are so ignorant that they don’t understand their own shortcomings. Such people always SUFFER in their life – because they just don’t understand the true essence of life and they don’t have basic common sense.

I tell to all my followers – there is NOTHING WRONG IN HAVING AN ATTITUDE with such ungrateful men and women. To survive in this idiotic human world – you need to have ATTITUDE and only that man and that woman has ATTITUDE who have what it takes.

There was one great divine Master — his name was AKKALKOT SWAMI SAMARTH — and his whole attitude was unique. He would drive away certain men and women by literally abusing them verbally and then there were men and women for whom he would give all his heart out! HE had a heart of GOLD – but whenever a wrong person would come before him – he would simply drive him away. A real master is NOT a cat, HE is a LION.

Once Chollapa ( a close devotee of Swami Samarth) asked about this strange behavior and Swami laughed loudly and said “ The people I drive away are idiots and hypocrite people. They are NOT real and they have absolutely no faith, no gratitude and no love and no depth of understanding.”

A sinful may get the blessings of Swami Samarth – because he is willing to change, he is a grateful man. But a white collar man – a fake hypocrite who is utterly selfish and UNGRATEFUL – such a man will be simply kicked out. Swami often used to say: “ Chollapa — there is no Ram in such people.?”

Ram means being truthful. Being grateful. Being honest.

And now when Jupiter is going retrograde — you all will see and experience more UNGRATEFUL PEOPLE, DISHONEST PEOPLE, UNTRUTHFUL PEOPLE in your life. More corruption, and those who are real will have to face many challenges during this JUPITER RETROGRADE PERIOD.

Those who belong to the MOON sign of SAGITTARIUS, those who belong to the MOON sign of PISCES will definitely suffer more during this JUPITER RETROGRADE period. However if Jupiter is already Retrograde in your birth chart then this suffering will be nullified.

Men and women belonging to SAGITTARIUS and PISCES sign will make many WRONG DECISIONS during this JUPITER RETROGRADE period. They will remain mentally disturbed during this period.

I generally don’t believe in them because they are never stable — they are always changing their stand — to Cancer men and women I specifically insist — be firm on your stand, if you hate someone then remain firm else you will end falling in love with the man you hate the most!

Toxic people will always try to pull you down – but with AWARENESS, with your CONSCIOUSNESS, you should not fall to their games – you should simply LET GO.

“If you let go a little you will have a little happiness.
If you let go a lot you will have a lot of happiness.
If you let go completely you will be free.”

I always tell to all my close followers that if a person says to you – “You are a beggar” and if you are perfectly aware that you have one million dollar in your bank account – then does it makes any difference if anybody calls you beggar??

Similar is the case with your inner growth. If someone call you – abuses you, labels you as an idiot – then does it make any difference when you have experienced yourself the BUDDHA CONSCIOUSNESS!

And so my fellows – believe in yourself, realize yourself and then you will not have to depend on the opinions of others.

There is a lion in each one of you. And do you know who this LION is? It is your SELF.

Focus on your SELF. Realize your SELF. And you will be able to realize your SELF only when you take to meditation. Only when you start chanting. And only when you remain GRATEFUL to every person who has helped you in some way or the other.

There are many monks and nuns and people who do all kind of chanting and meditations but still only a few become BUDDHAs – why? Because only few people in this vast human world are GRATEFUL – only a few show GRATITUDE.

I am in love with all those who are GRATEFUL by heart. The Master loves a GRATEFUL HEART. A thankful person is a person worth connecting. And you all will be surprised to know that in this human world – THANKFUL PEOPLE are in minority. UNGRATEFUL people are in majority.

And now as Jupiter goes retrograde – all these UNGRATEFUL men and women will go through a HELL of a time. They will suffer like nothing. Jupiter will definitely take them on task – a very tough task.

A thief with a grateful heart is far closer to GOD then you so called white collar man who has absolutely NO GRATITUDE.

To my selective followers and readers – I give you a very simply remedy to survive through this Jupiter Retrograde period – and the remedy is in one word – GRATITUDE.

Start showing gratitude. Start being thankful. Many times when I see the fresh bread on my table – I thank the farmer. When I see a hot glass of milk – I thank the holy cow. When I sit in an air-conditioned room during the hot summers – I fold my hands and thank the AC! That is how the heart of a grateful man is – my fellows! Then it doesn’t matter whether the thing is lifeless – he will continue to show his gratitude towards all those because of whom he is able to live a comfortable life!

A grateful man quickly connects with grateful people. You see – that is how it is. Vibrations is all that this world is made of. Similar quality vibrations quickly connect. The remedy to survive during this JUPITER RETROGRADE period is simple – truth is always simple.

Start fasting on THURSDAYS. Eat only fruits on THURSDAY. And chant the holy mantra – “Om Namo Narayanaya” – 108 times every morning and evening.

Thoughts can change your perspective. My sharing is simply to help you all raise the quality of your thoughts. Good question.

But before we all dive into this question – the most subtle question that is born from your question is the question of EGO.

First comes the EGO. First comes the ‘i’. Then comes the agreeing and disagreeing and then follows the unending miseries of life!!

Whole life is spent in agreeing and disagreeing and in the end, nothing is derived.

Agreeing and Disagreeing is of the MIND – understand this, this is of significance. The MIND goes on agreeing and disagreeing – the Heart simply listens!

And so someone who is just listening – can understand more than someone who is agreeing and disagreeing – he simply is into his MIND and the MIND is mechanical – it can only make you more confused than otherwise!

Every day, more than a hundred emails come to my inbox, and maximum of them are in this ‘agreeing’ and ‘disagreeing’ mode of state! And to me, such people are dangerous to my peace- because they create a lot of noise. If I help them with even one ‘message’ – they will not listen, they will ask a hundred counter questions – you see – the MIND is in play whereas I am looking for someone who is following his heart – such a man, such a woman will not ask – will not agree and not disagree but simply listen to what I am sharing – and then it is a song, then there is every possibility for such heartful men and women to progress in life – they are always in minority – and yet it is these men and women who make this world a much better place to live!

Judging is ugly. The MIND is always judging. And it judges from the appearance – because the MIND is shallow – the HEART has depth – a great saint once had said that “People ‘see’ through their MIND” – and the MIND is elusive – it goes on creating many illusions – and that is how many of you find yourself in more miseries than otherwise.

Jupiter in Ascendant is good – only when the Ascendant lord is well-placed.

The ancient seers mention that Jupiter in Ascendant often takes away the native’s father – either the father dies early or the father moves away from the native – in short, the native rarely does get father’s love – there is a kind of strong absence of father’s love in his or her life.

The ancient seers must be right. Because that is what we see happening in most cases. But the bigger question is – WHY?

And the answer is simple. The presence of the LORD OF LORDS – Jupiter on the Throne (ascendant) of your life – conveys a simple message “Your seniority is far superior to anybody else in your immediate family.”

Now, who is your immediate family? Of course your Father and Mother.

In Indian culture, the Father is the topmost authority of the family. Now the situation is – that with Jupiter in Ascendant – you have arrived with much seniority – that it simply cannot tolerate anybody else – and so it is a sign that soon you would be taking the whole responsibility of the family – you become the FAMILY HEAD – while the Father goes away (death/separation etc.) But the role of the Father in such a native’s life is much shorter – in fact if other aspects are not supportive than he or she should definitely live independently – away from the father.

Yesterday – a case came, many such cases come every day – but in this case – the man writes in his email “I may commit suicide because my father is no more and my mother is disturbing our marital life (me and my wife) – now you please help me or I don’t know what to do.”

I wrote to him “ The solution is simple, get yourself out – stay away from your mother for the coming 18 months – arrange for an aide for your mother – and just let time pass by.”

Now – will he follow this suggestion? And the answer – is NO. He never responded to me – and I knew he would not – and the reason is subtle, very subtle – the reason is in one word – ATTACHMENT!

Buddha says “ The root of suffering is ATTACHMENT.”

Jupiter in Ascendant – actually leads to many struggles and sufferings. Lokmanya Tilak had to go through imprisonment – through many struggles – he had a Gaj Kesari Yog – Jupiter and Moon in Ascendant and yet life was not as smooth as a common man generally expects it to be!

From the common man’s perspective – everything has to be SAFE. SECURE. SMOOTH.

From much-evolved soul – such combinations or placements leads to much suffering. And it is this suffering and struggles that lead him to the much higher realms of consciousness!

Yesterday, I was talking to a ex-CEO of a known company, he is a meditative man – have been following the path of meditation – and he said “ The Saints and the evolved souls always are open to sufferings and pain because they are aware of the fact that it is only through the sufferings that you come towards the light of consciousness.”

So true – but who wants to listen?

The common man is running behind all possible tricks to find an ESCAPE ROUTE from the sufferings and pains. A few days ago, a man wrote to me – “I am going through a chronic disease of lungs, is there a way I can find a way to overcome it?”

Now – the question itself is wrong. Because you are trying to find an escape route. Many women write to me “ My mother-in-law is not a good person, she does this and does that – is there a way to do something so that we get rid of her?”

Now again – you are trying to find an escape route.

Husband writes “ My wife and her family proved to be a disaster – now how can I find a way to get through them? Should I file for a divorce?”

Wife writes “ My husband seems to be cheating on me – I am fed up of his behavior – should I drag him to the court and get a divorce?”

You see – and I appeal to all the readers – to read these above set of questions again and again and you will find only one hidden question among all these questions and the hidden question is “ HOW CAN I ESCAPE?”

Today, you may escape – but the KARMIC DUES remain – so tomorrow (next birth) you may have to come back to face the dues – and that time it is going to be harder than it is now!

So the solution is not in ESCAPING – but FACING your KARMA with much determination and persistence.

Husband has cheated you – and you immediately go to court for a divorce.

Mother-in-law is not good – and so you start finding out a way to get rid of her.

Wife seems to be a quarrelsome woman – and so you have decided to drop her.

Every person in this human world wants to find an escape route – those who find – will be ‘held’ later. And those who face the situation without trying to escape – will be allowed to go their way – freedom comes only when you go through all your PAST KARMIC OVER DUES – it is going to be painful – but that is how it has to be – never try to escape – instead face the situation of your life with much determination and confidence.

Confidence – Jupiter in Ascendant brings immense confidence to the native. In fact, the native is confident by nature itself. As mentioned above – Ascendant Jupiter may bring certain sufferings to your life – but such a native is a POSITIVE person and because he always remains positive – all the sufferings and struggles provide him with much higher perspectives of life and in this whole process – eventually he evolves to higher altitudes of life – becomes more matured – and in the end succeeds in achieving his goals.

Personally – I like men and women who have Jupiter in Ascendant – at least there is some positive influence over them – than otherwise. They have a generally positive outlook on life. Also, they are optimistic by nature. Generally, they like everything that is BIG.

BIG is the word. They seem to be fascinated with whatever that is BIG, SPACIOUS, LARGE. And this is purely because of the positive influence of Jupiter in Ascendant (throne) who himself is the BIGGEST planet of all!

You can say that they are large-hearted but that is totally based on the placement of their Moon and Mercury.

One of the drawbacks of this placement and especially when Jupiter nakshatra lord is not well placed or Jupiter has some negative Drishti from other planets – is the EGO factor!

EGO has to be monitored on a regular basis. And Jupiter is your subtle Ego! Scholars, Pundits – they all are trapped in this subtle ego. In fact Jupiter in Ascendant gives birth to many pundits and priests.

And that reminds me of a story – a story of the High Priest – who lived in Russia. It happened so that the High Priest learned from the people of the town that there are 3 farmers who lived across the river are great saints.

The High Priest became upset. He became jealous- and so one day he hired a boat and asked the boatman to take him to the other side of the river where the 3 farmers lived. Soon he reached the shore. Then he got down and started heading towards the farmers. They were simple men, sitting under a huge tree, smiling, in their own bliss. When they saw the High Priest standing before them, they touched the feet of the highest priest, and the High Priest was very happy. He thought, “Now I will put them right — these are not very dangerous people. I was thinking they would be rebels or something.”

He asked them, “How did you become saints?”
They said, “We don’t know! We don’t know that we are saints either. People have started calling us saints and we go on trying to convince them that we are not, we are very simple people, but they don’t listen. The more we argue that we are not, the more they worship us! And we are not very good at arguing either.”

The priest was very happy. He said, “What is your prayer? Do you know how to pray?”

They looked at each other. The first said to the second, “You say.” The second said to the third, “You say, please.”

The priest said, “Say what your prayer is! Are you saying Our Lord’s Prayer or not?”

They said, “To be frank with you, we don’t know any prayer. We have invented a prayer of our own and we are very embarrassed — how to say it? But if you ask we have to say it. We have heard that God is a trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We are three and he is also three, so we have made a small prayer of our own: ‘You are three, we are three: Have mercy on us!’ ”

The priest said, “What nonsense! Is this prayer? You fools, I will teach you the right prayer.” And he recited The Lord’s Prayer.

And those three poor people said, “Please repeat it once more, because we are uneducated, we may forget.”

He repeated it and they asked, “Once more — we are three, repeat it at least three times.” So he repeated it again, and then very happy, satisfied, he went back in his boat.

And the boat started sailing, the High Priest was very happy, now he can tell the people, that how he taught these illiterate 3 people. And while he was engrossed in his thoughts, just in the middle of the lake he was surprised, his boatman was surprised: those three poor people were coming running on the water!

And they said, “Wait! Please one more time — we have forgotten the prayer!”

Now it was the turn of the High Priest to touch their feet, and he said, “Forget what I have said to you. Your prayer has been heard, my prayer has not been heard yet. You continue as you are continuing. I was utterly wrong to say anything to you. Forgive me!”

How beautiful is this story, and how deep! You see – the High Priest had so much of EGO – that he could not ‘see’ the divinity of these 3 farmers who indeed were the greatest Saints! And they were so simple, so innocent that they went RUNNING ON THE WATER – and yet they found nothing special about it – it was just a natural action for them – but the High Priest was taken aback – because he may not have seen in his whole life – anybody – any human being – RUNNING or WALKING on the WATER!

TRUTH has no agenda. The High Priest had an Agenda – Agenda to show these 3 Saints – on how Great he is and how uneducated and stupid they are.

But the 3 saints – they were so simple, so innocent – how beautiful their heart must be – although they have attained the supreme consciousness – God realization – Self-realization – yet they do not ridicule the High Priest – they run on the water just to understand the ‘prayer’ that the High Priest wanted them to learn!

Truth is simple. Life is simple. The 3 Saints were also simple. Jesus is simple. Buddha is simple. Mahavira is simple – the great enlightened beings are always found to be simple.

Simple is beautiful. A simple man. A simple woman – and my whole heart is open for them – it is always a pleasure to interact with every man and woman who are SIMPLE.

There is a beauty in simplicity!

“There is no need to have any guide.
If you are simple. then simplicity is enough If you are natural then that naturainess isenough. If you are not natural you will need the help of a master”

You see – the poor man needs no master. It is the rich men who need the help of a master. The poor man is simple. The rich man has made his life complicated through his own ignorance. That is how we find the rich in more miseries than the poor.

The poor man can ‘Jump’ – He is not going to ask any question – he has more faith than fear. That is how – Peter the fisherman ‘jumps’ – he is a poor man and Jesus meets him for the first time and Jesus says “Follow me, I will make you the fisher of men.”

And Peter drops everything and starts following Jesus!

Now if the same happens with a rich man – imagine how much he would complicate the situation. He will ask millions of questions, raise hundreds of doubts and in this process, he goes on missing the truth, the divine, the beyond!

And this is what happens with you all – TOO MUCH of your intellectuality and TOO MUCH of your wealth comes between YOU and the TRUTH.

Jupiter in Ascendant leads to this TOO MUCHNESS. You may become a Pundit or a Scholar but then you dont stop there – you go on ACCUMULATING KNOWLEDGE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN – you become so much PACKED – that there is no space for the real thing to penetrate in your being! You have already closed the doors by your own ignorance – your own TOO MUCHNESS!

And Lao TZU – the divine master says “ Too much is the only SIN.”

Look back in the history – you will see DICTATORS failing miserably – why? Because they went TOO FAR – TOO MUCH AMBITION led to their failure.

Be cautious you all – and ask yourself – if you are maintaining a BALANCE – the moment there is no BALANCE – your desires and your ambitions have outgrown yourself – you all are ‘in’ for the greatest misery of your life!

One day Lao Tzu said to all the villagers, “ Tomorrow I must leave.”

The villagers felt sad, how beautiful it was to be with Lao Tzu – so much we have learned- so much we have changed and now this wonderful man is leaving us – how to face this truth- and so they insisted him to stay.

But Lao Tzu said, “You all have loved me a lot but now I cannot stop here anymore, It is time and I must go.”

That night, when there was nobody around, a very close aide of Lao Tzu asked him “ Master, please tell me, what is the reason for leaving? These people love you so much. They have become your followers- then why are you leaving?”

And Lao Tzu smiled and said “ These same people who are loving me so much, these same followers who are following me so sincerely – will turn exact opposite, if I continue to stay on, remember too much is the only sin. And so before my stay becomes too much before their love becomes too much – let me move – please don’t insist anymore. Tomorrow I must leave.”

TOO MUCHNESS leads to problems. I appeal to all my readers – look at your life – and I say this to all my readers – observe closely – and you will find that it is TOO MUCHNESS that has led you to many miseries.

TOO MUCH OF EATING. TOO MUCH OF SEX. TOO MUCH OF SEXUAL DESIRES. TOO MUCH OF SEX. TOO MUCH OF PRIDE. TOO MUCH OF LOVE. TOO MUCH OF EGO!

It is this TOO MUCHNESS that goes on bringing too many miseries into your life and the irony is that you never realize it.

If you go on saying to your lover “I love you” – every day – it will be mental torture! There has to be a certain limit – a certain balance to everything that you say, you do.

When Jupiter is in ASCENDANT – irrespective of what sign it is placed in – one has to be careful of not letting life slip out of balance.

BALANCE. Life is a balance between REST and MOVEMENT.

Let there be a balance – yesterday itself, a young man in his email writes to me “ I am confused on whether I should leave everything to attain spiritual bliss or I should continue with my material life?”

You don’t have to leave anything. Understand this. You just have to find the Balance. If you are married – then don’t stop having sexual relations with your wife. That way you are denying her basic rights. If you are eating non-veg – don’t stop eating non-veg because that way you are making the whole family suffer just because of your ignorance. Having Sex – Eating Non-Veg, or doing anything that is a normal way of living a human life – is not to be condemned or denied. Just go with the normal way of living – and while you do so – remember to bring God in your life, introduce God in your life – be more faithful and less fearful – walk on the path of love – path of the truth – follow the truth, follow every man and every woman who can add value to your life and a time will come when you will become ‘special’!

“Be ordinary, but bring a quality of awareness to your ordinary life. Bring God to your ordinary life introduce God into your ordinary life. Sleep, eat, love, pray, meditate, but don’t think that you are making or doing something special-and then you will be special.”

All of you, are in a way special to me, because to follow me, or my answers, is certainly not something that everyone can understand. It is only a meditative heart that can resonate with my answer. Only that man and that woman can truly relate with my answers – who are turning inwards, and becoming more and more meditative!

Jupiter in Ascendant is a good placement for meditation. The whole chart comes under Jupiter’s influence and so if this Jupiter gets the right support of other planets and aspects then – you see a beautiful man, a beautiful woman flowering!

And when you flower within – when you resolve yourself within – only then can you find a right match – a suitable match, a suitable partner for yourself!

“People come to me and they ask how to go deep in a relationship. I tell them, “First, go deeply into meditation. Unless you are resolved within yourself you will create more problems than you already have. If you move in a relationship all your problems will be multiplied.” – Osho

Jupiter in Ascendant – is in many ways fortunate enough in finding the right marriage partner. And the reason is simple – when you are living consciously – you will always seek someone who compliments your conscious living! And so a good match is often seen with this placement.

But there are many more things to Astrology – with just one placement you cannot conclude the story – but at least the essence of the story can be realized and in this case, the essence seems to be more positive when it comes to health, marriage, personality and more important – the character!

Habits become character. And the divine master is encouraging you to drop all habits because all habits are mechanical by nature – there is absolutely no consciousness to any habit that you perform!

I am therefore not saying to anyone of you – that focus on good habits and drop bad habits. I am simply encouraging all of you – my readers and fellow travelers – to simply drop all habits – and let every action that you perform – execute out of your consciousness. And not out of a habit!

The MIND is mechanical. Understand this. When you train the mind to do a certain thing again and again – it will go on doing it with exact accuracy but there will be no awareness to it! Remember the first time – when you were learning – how to drive the car? Or how to ride the bike? – You were so conscious – your every action was conscious – the clutch, the break, the indicator – everything that you were doing was being executed with so much of awareness! But when the same driving or riding became a habit – all your actions became mechanical – now you are ‘doing it’ – but it is not out of awareness but mechanical – it appears perfect but there is no life to it!

And so all habits are bad. I would encourage you all to drop all your habits and do all that you have been doing ‘mechanically’ – as a part of ‘habit – do it the next time with much awareness – as if you are doing it for the first time and you will see something special – you will experience a great liveliness within you – and I am here, simply to share the liveliness, the awareness, the consciousness with you all!

So come you all – let us all focus on our meditation – life continues, the many problems of life continue, the distractions continue – but nobody should stop you from meditating – in the begining it is going to be difficult – but if you remain persistent, a day would come in your life – when slowly you would find yourself deeply rooted within you – yes, the noise is on the outside, the people – the crowd, the rush – and yet deep within your heart – there is total peace, a great silence is flowering within you and now nobody on the outside can disturb your peace – your peace is your real wealth and now it is safeguarded – and the day this happens – you know – you have arrived – you are flowering and then there is no looking back, the sky (consciousness) is clear and you are ready to fly!

“Your wings already exist. All you have to do is fly.”

When there is no ‘clinging’ – when you learn to live in total detachment only then do you realize the beauty of living – only then you can spread your wings and fly!

Understand what is what – and that is possible only when you live in total detachment. This human world is a mixture of ‘Salt’ (fake people) and ‘Sugar’ (real people) – but to realize who is salt and who is sugar – first, you have to raise your level of consciousness – only then you can wisely pick the sugar out of the salt!

The word ‘Retrograde’ has to be first understood. Why the word ‘Retrograde’? The English dictionary defines the word ‘Retrograde’ as moving backward. In more explanatory terms – the word Retrograde means “to go back on the progress that has been made.”

A man is in a relationship. Venus matters when it comes to relationships. Venus is going retrograde – now the same man would look back on the progress that has been made in his relationship – maybe he may just sit back – maybe a certain question would arise – the woman would want to get married – the man is not ready – he wants to take his own time to make a decision – sometimes both of them – go into a retro-mood – and start analyzing – the many good and challenging points of their relationship – so you see – nothing is moving ahead – the relationship has come to a point of halt – it is going slow, backward – in rounds and rounds of thoughts – that’s retrogression – “to go back on the progress that has been made.”

Right now Planet Venus is still in the sign of Libra from last 3.5 months. When in reality Venus transits a zodiac sign in just 28 days! But this year (2018) – Venus went retrograde from October 5th to November 16th! And so imagine – how many relationships would be going through a retrogression mode? I personally have received almost over 100 cases – where either there has been a break-up, or relationship is going through certain hurdles. So you see – retrogression is ‘state’ that is neither good nor bad. It all depends on the progress you have made so far!

In reality – a planet to whom we address as a Retrograde planet is NOT going backward – let this be very clear. This is deep, and this is of significance.

In reality – such a planet has simply slowed down – somewhere the energy of the planet has slowed down – who slows down the energy – and to this – no one has found an answer – even the scientists are scratching their heads but no specific answer has been found so far! But our ancient seers and saints had. The energy to which we address as God – God-consciousness!

The Whole Universal Consciousness Created The Individual Conscious Of Each Of Us, Experiencing Itself From Different Perspectives, – In Which Each Of Us Create The Life We Experience

The divine God-consciousness to which many addresses as – Krishna-Consciousness (ISKON) or Christ-Consciousness is the energy that impacts the slowing down (in our words – retrograde)of the Planet! The Planet is not moving backward – rather it has just slowed down – in life – God slows down us as well – is that bad? No, it is a blessing in disguise – because in this slowing down – in this state of retrogression – God simply wants you to sit back, introspect, meditate and understand who you are, what is it that you are doing, through this retrograde state – God is simply giving you ‘window’ of opportunity to discover your true self – a rarest of the rare opportunity to transform yourself – to make you *revisit* the matters of life so that you understand what works for you and what doesn’t! It is during the retrogression period that you come to a state where much has to be cut, much has to be dropped. Only the very essential has to be saved; the nonessential has to be completely destroyed.

And by the time you come out of retrograde state – you have got much clarity on what works for you and what isn’t – whether it is a relationship – or office matters, or family matters or even enemy matters! At the end of retrogression – you are slowly coming towards a conclusion – to where you want to head?

Mercury goes retrograde almost many times in a year. I had a friend, she was the Director of an IT company in the US. During one my trip to the US – during one conversation with her, I realized how much she gets worried when Mercury goes retrograde! And that is understandable – one certainly should not make any decisions – when Mercury goes retrograde – the period of retrogression is to analyze, look within, turn inwards – to find answers to a certain query, a certain project that you may have in your hands, it is, in fact, a great time to brainstorm on an idea – but not make a decision – it is only after the brainstorm – after the revisiting – after the retrograde state – that a good decision can be made! So – RETROGRADE PERIOD – use it for decision-making – but DECIDE only when the Planet is no more retrograde but have become Direct. Let a week pass after the retrogression period is over and then make a decision!

Now – when you have a Retrograde Planet itself in your Birth Chart – tell me – how would you look at it? It is simply a signal that this human life of yours have certain ‘matters of life’ that you got to REVISIT, RETROSPECT, REVIVE. It is a ‘left-over’ Karma of your PAST LIFE – and this human life has been bestowed upon you – so that you complete the unfinished business of your past life! Remember – everybody is born to pay for their past life karma – but in retrograde case – it is not about paying the dues – it is revisiting the unfinished Karma – and ensuring that is finished – and in reality, it does finish because of the existence – the existence ensures that the cosmic law is justified.

What is the difference – retrograde and normal state of the planet?

Retrograde example – A young man is getting ready to marry the love of his life – and suddenly he goes back on his decision – he runs away from his marriage. Now what? This man is reborn with certain retrograde planetary placement around his marriage aspects/house – where it determines – that now the unfinished business of marriage has to be addressed – the marriage has to take place for the native (soul) to move on with his cycle of birth and rebirth!

Normal example – Here the story has moved on – the young man has gone ahead, married the love of his life – now – how he lived his married life – whether he was loyal to his love, whether he was a good husband – whatever the quality of karma related to his marriage – will be seen in his next birth chart when he is reborn. Here you will see no sign of a retrograde planet in regards to his marriage. Here he is simply made to pay his dues – if he was a good husband – he will be getting a positive placement for his marriage – if not then accordingly he would be put to ‘task’! So in a normal state of planets – the story of life is moving on – progressing – but in retrograde – it has “to go back on the progress that has been made.”

A man or woman with a retrograde planet has NOT gone all the way – at some point, they have quit – and so now they have come in this human world to FINISH the unfinished business that they had quit in their last human life.

If you must begin then go all the way. because if you begin and quit, the unfinished business you have left behind begins to haunt you all the time.

And generally, it is found – that these retrograde community of individuals complete the unfinished business that they had left behind (past-life).

A whole birth – a whole human life is awarded to them – just so that they can address the unfinished business of their last life – and so usually they do meet success in it.

Unfinished business – but related to what aspect of life? This is understood from the planet and the house it is placed in!

In your case – the Jupiter in 6th House– determines many parts of human life and human affairs – but on a higher level and from a positive angle – it has more to do with SERVICE – to SERVE! Somewhere the native has quit from serving someone – now who is this someone – for that other aspects are necessary to understand. But the core point is to SERVE – to FORGIVE enemies – to either finish certain disputes by being MORE COMPASSIONATE – MORE UNDERSTANDING in your daily routine life. It is also an indication that one must demonstrate loyalty towards those who provide him with employment. Since Jupiter is a planet of compassion and love – here – the message is simple – BE MORE and MORE Kind – do not indulge in REVENGEFUL ACTS – learn to live in a LET-GO!

A man with a retrograde planet in the SIXTH – should learn to live in a LET-GO. Existence wants you to LET-GO of all your disputes, your misunderstanding, your unfinished grudges, and enmities – existence wants you to come out clean and the only way to come out clean – is to simply stop reacting and learn to live in total acceptance – and that is what the Buddhists call – Tathata! Tathata is to live in suchness – such are the things – such is the situation – there is simply no question of accepting or rejecting – you simply live in suchness – TATHATA! And a man who lives in suchness is called Tathagata!

To learn to live in a let-go – you have to first – find yourself and you will be able to find yourself only when you lose yourself in the service of others!

When going through the Mahadasha of any retrograde planet – remember you have to be more understanding, more meditative and you have to learn to Let-Go – the period of a retrograde planet is your testing time – and you will pass only if you REACT LESS and RESPOND MORE! Certain unfinished matters of the retrograde planet will come to you – and so you have to be more humble, more compassionate and more serving towards others. Serving because in your case it is the Jupiter in 6th Housee!

The sixth house is the house of service! Serve more and more people – selflessly – don’t run away from the responsibility of serving and soon your next life the matters of the sixth house and the house ruled by Jupiter would be no more in the state of Retrograde – but flowing profusely – like a beautiful running river!
