Namaste.
On the 18th of October comes Dhana Teras, also known as Dhanathrayodeshi. On this day you should always buy a new broomstick, also known as Jhadu. This jhadu is very, very significant. Buying a broomstick on Dhana Teras — this year, Dhana Teras is on the 18th of October — is very auspicious.
When you buy this new broomstick, it signifies that very soon prosperity is going to come into your life. The significance of a broomstick or a jhadu is immense. We consider this as the arrival of Lakshmi, because through this jhadu, through this broomstick, you clean your house.
When Diwali comes, the festival of lights, you should always ensure that your house is clean — each and every corner of your house is clean. This is one of the symbolic representations of Lakshmi, because Lakshmi, or the goddess of wealth, comes only to that house which is clean.
So this Diwali ensure that you clean your house and buy a new broomstick on Dhana Teras. Through this broomstick you not only clean the house, but it is also used many times for removing black magic spells. The importance of this jhadu or broomstick, as I said, is immense.
And so, as this Diwali comes, I want to wish each one of you a very happy Diwali. Buy new clothes, buy new mobile phones — anything that you buy new during this Diwali is always very auspicious.
In this podcast, I have shared the significance of this beautiful Diwali, but at the same time there is also a very deep spiritual message that you should definitely listen to and implement. Following that, I have shared the impact of Venus transit in Virgo, the Sun in Libra, and Jupiter transiting Cancer.
I already made a separate video on Jupiter transit in Cancer and its impact, but in this podcast also I have shared the significance of these beautiful transits. As we come to the end of the year and celebrate one of the biggest festivals in our Hindu faith, Diwali, I want to wish you all a very, very happy and prosperous new year.
And with this message, let us begin with this podcast. And don’t forget to buy a new broomstick, a jhadu, on Dhana Teras — that is on the 18th of October
Lakshmi and Narayana
Wealth, Lakshmi, is impermanent. God Narayana is eternal.
As the festival of lights approaches on the 20th of October, let us pause and remember this simple yet profound truth: money never stays forever, only God does. Through the ages, countless men and women have risen to great heights of prosperity, only to lose it all when the wheel of destiny turned.
Time changes everything — positions, possessions, even people. What remains unchanging, untouched, and undying is Narayana, the eternal consciousness that dwells within.
So when you worship Lakshmi this Diwali, do so with reverence. May she grace your home and bless your efforts. But while invoking Lakshmi, never forget Narayana, for He alone is the source of all abundance. Wealth may flow and fade, but your connection with the divine must remain unwavering.
As Swami Swarupananda of Pavas beautifully said, “By turning one’s focus from the transient to the divine, devotees can find enduring peace and spiritual satisfaction.”
I have witnessed this truth in temples, in streets, in my own life. Just last Saturday, outside a Hanuman temple, I was distributing food and sweets to the poor. Amid them sat an old man — frail, hungry, homeless. Yet when I offered him food, he softly said, “I am fasting today. Please give me only Upwas food.”
That moment pierced my heart. Here was a man who owned nothing — no house, no comfort, no security — and yet he had faith. He was fasting out of devotion to God. While many educated people lose faith because they lose their job or their relationship, this humble man, with nothing left, still remembered God. He was fasting in devotion to God.
That is true wealth. That is Narayana consciousness.
I have seen the same pattern in life and in my consultations — millionaires who lost everything, people who once lived in palaces and bungalows now living in rented rooms. Lakshmi is impermanent. She comes, she goes. But Narayana, the silent witness within, never leaves.
When you worship Lakshmi this Diwali, do it with gratitude, not greed. Invite her to stay, but do not cling — for attachment to money breeds misery, while remembrance of Narayana brings peace.
Chant this sacred mantra with devotion during Diwali:
Om Rhim Shrim Lakshmi Bhyo Namah.
The meaning of this mantra is salutations to the divine goddess of wealth and prosperity.
Let this Diwali not just illuminate your home, but also your heart. Let your focus shift from the fleeting sparkle of gold to the eternal glow of the soul. For true celebration begins when your mind rests in God.
Planetary Transits and Diwali Energy
Now, as Venus journeys through Virgo, Jupiter radiates his wisdom from Cancer, and the Sun glows in Libra, the cosmos weaves a melody of balance, love, and divine grace in your life.
Venus, the goddess of beauty, purifies love through Virgo’s humility, teaching us that true affection is born from sincerity. Jupiter, the divine guru, shines from Cancer, nurturing hearts with compassion, protection, and faith. The Eternal Light
Always remember: every Diwali tells the same quiet truth — money never stays forever, only God does. The true light is not the lamp outside, but the lamp burning within your consciousness.
Long ago, King Janak, famed for his wealth, once invited a sage to witness his treasures. The sage smiled and asked, “O King, will these jewels accompany you when death arrives?” The hall fell silent. The sage pointed to a single flickering lamp and said, “This lamp is your awareness. When this burns bright, everything shines. When it goes out, even your gold turns to dust.”
That night, Janak realized that his real palace was not made of stone or gems — it was the stillness within his soul. From that moment, he ruled his kingdom with love, detachment, and peace.
So, as you worship Goddess Lakshmi this Diwali, also bow in silence to Narayana, the eternal consciousness that never fades. Invite prosperity, but anchor it in gratitude. Earn wealth, but let your heart remain light — for wealth may come and go, but the divine lamp of faith must never go out.
That lamp is Narayana — the light that never fades.
As I have shared the mantra with all of you, chant this mantra 108 times in the morning and evening if you want to attract wealth and prosperity in your life:
Om Ram Shrim Lakshmi Bhyo Namah.
Chant this mantra, and may this Diwali illuminate your home with peace, your mind with clarity, your heart with devotion, and your life with divine purpose.
Remember, true wealth is consciousness and true light is love. As they say, God is love and love is real.
Love you all, and wish each one of you a very, very Happy Diwali.
Jai Shri Ganesha. Jai Guru.
