Rahu gives good results in air signs because Rahu represents your subconscious desires. I met an old friend who is a meditative man, but he also had a strong desire to own a BMW car. He had been a successful businessman but always hesitated to buy the expensive car. Now that he had become older, the desire still remained. Since he was a meditative man, he told me, “Aditya, I’m buying a BMW because I don’t want to take another birth just because this one intense desire was left unfulfilled.”
He bought the BMW car, and then, after one year, he sold it. The wish was fulfilled. He was no longer held back. He experienced freedom. He was a happy man with no regrets about selling the car because he just wanted to get rid of his desire. Now that it was fulfilled, and he realized its futility, he was able to let it go. You can only give up a desire when you realize its futility.
This is a very deep subject. Shallow readers may not understand it, and my answer is not for shallow listeners. They will condemn me, ridicule me, and offend me. That is all they can do, and that is all they have been doing. For them, condemning, ridiculing, and offending others gives them joy and makes them feel good. But to me, sharing the truth brings me joy. Both our desires and intentions differ. While they like to hurt others, I like to heal, love, and rejoice in sharing the truth with all of you. I am perfectly aware that though certain men and women may condemn me, there are thousands of followers who may read or listen to this message someday, somewhere.
What you like is what you have within you. You will appreciate only that which you value within yourself. The seed of goodness is found in the soil of appreciation, and your desire is directly linked to your likes. If you like to hurt others, the quality of your desires is degrading, and a degraded desire only leads to a degraded life.
This brings us back to the question of exalted Rahu, which is related to desires. The quality of desires shapes your life. People often ask, “What is the purpose of my life?” There was a man who was such a simple person. Wherever he went, he simply loved to help others. The desire to help is the greatest desire of all. Desires remain, but it is your consciousness that helps you decide which desires are good for your growth and which are harmful.
The desire to kill someone, to hurt someone, or to cast a black magic spell on someone is a direct path to hell. You will be surprised to see that in the morning, people go to temples, but at night, the same people commit terrible acts of sin. This is the reality of the human world. Don’t go by appearances or words. Just observe closely, and you will see the truth. An ignorant man goes on hurting others, and that is what makes him happy. A conscious man, on the other hand, goes on helping others, and that is what brings bliss to his heart and soul.
Understand the difference and sever it. Our prime purpose in life is to help others. If you can’t help them, at least don’t hurt them. The subject of desires is very deep, and Rahu also plays a significant role in it. Desires are Rahu. You have come to this world because a desire was born within your being.
The story of Adam and Eve and the apple in the Bible mentions how Adam could not resist his desire to eat the apple. This desire became the starting point of the human world in which we are all caught. Desires are like a serpent that engulfs us, blocks our consciousness, and brings many miseries into our lives.
Certain people seem more interested in pointing out what the scriptures, like the Bible, say. They are more interested in correcting me by saying that I should only follow the Bible story. This is the problem—the problem of the mind. A story can have many dimensions, and if the dimension I am sharing adds value, helps you, and motivates you, then what is the problem?
But certain human beings are so shallow that they go on repeating the stories of the Bible, the Quran, and the Bhagavad Gita without realizing the deeper meanings they hold. Such people will spend their whole life correcting others but will miss the chance to correct themselves. And when they ask why life is so miserable, they miss the point.
Much has to be cut, and much has to be dropped. Only the essential has to be saved, and the non-essential must be completely destroyed. Desires are born based on your level of consciousness. The level of consciousness you tune into each moment of every day will determine the quality of your experience of the world.
A conscious man, a man of awareness, will always have a certain quality of desires, and this quality is reflected through the zodiac signs.
