Car provides you comfort. Comfort comes through the blessings of Goddess Venus. Therefore in our ancient Indian culture – Car or Vahana is considered as Lakshmi. It is only in our Indian subcontinent that we worship our Car – we offer flowers, Kumkum and break a coconut before our car – as a mark of respect. Breaking a coconut before a car and pouring the coconut water on the tire of the car is a sign of respect towards the car since in our Indian culture – we consider coconut as the most auspicious seed – remember the coconut that we use is the seed and not a fruit.

So when it comes to buying a new car – the most significant question that comes to our mind is – “Which color to choose?”

Automobile companies manufacture cars in a limited set of colors – such as – White, Black, Blue, Silver, Grey, Green, Brown, or Red. Other than these seven colors – we rarely see any other color car running on our Indian roads.

So now the question arise – that out of these seven colors – which car color is suitable to you based on your birth chart?

If your Venus is in Aries or Scorpio sign or your Venus is in a Nakshatra ruled by Mars – then you should definitely choose RED color shades.

Childlessness: Fifth House Insights

The higher the peak – the deeper the valley will be. Near Mount Everest, the deepest valley exists….it can only exist there. When God chooses you – then you will have to sacrifice everything – only then can you reach the top of the mountain – only then can you attain that – which is beyond the mind – only then can you attain that which millions of people aspire to attain – God experience.

When you have come to the realization that you will never have a child – then you should also realize that you are chosen for the ‘Higher Calling’ of God.

Mohan asked “What is a higher calling?”

A higher calling is moving forward in your walk with God. The gift of a higher calling is far superior to the material gifts of this human world.

A ordinary person or a very common soul is very naturally attached to the idea of having a child. It is very common to wish for a child – every common man and woman wish to have a child. Many a times – the person may not want to have a child but comes under the pressure of family and society – because the society always wants you to live the way other people live – the society always is keen on dictating you on what to do and what not to do. The society wants you to follow the well-trodden path on which your father and your forefathers have been walking. The society never wants you try anything new – the society never wants you to think beyond the four walls.

“The society teaches you, ‘Choose the convenient, the comfortable; choose the well-trodden path where your forefathers and their forefathers and their forefathers, since Adam and Eve, have been walking. Choose the well-trodden path. That is a proof- so many millions of people have passed on it, you cannot go wrong.’ But remember one thing: The crowd has never had the experience of truth. Truth has only happened to individuals. Whenever there are alternatives, beware: Don’t choose the convenient, the comfortable, the respectable, the socially acceptable, the honorable. Many advanced evolved souls have simply dropped the idea of having a child. They remain childless by choice and not by chance.

Many a times it happens – that you become a father or mother and then the child is taken away from you – then what happens? Either you continue to suffer by longing for the child or you simply LET GO. It all depends on the level of your consciousness – the level of your soul. If you are a common soul then you will continue to miss your child and you will hope to re-unite with your child. This attachment towards the child will then effect your spiritual growth – because even though you are meditating and chanting still your mind remains attached with the child – who is no more with you and may never be with you! Many men and women continue to suffer because of their ATTACMENTS with the child. And suffering is always on the mental level. Yesterday – a woman called me and said that she is taking efforts towards her self-growth – but then she asked me “When will I re-unite with my son?” She said – Her son was taken away by her in-laws.

So now you see – this attachment will become a major hurdle in her spiritual progress. No matter where she goes and how much meditation she does – this thought about her separated son will continue to haunt her and she will always remain on the circumference – she will be devoid of spiritual bliss.

I said to her “ What has to happen – has happened. Now you should move on and drop the idea of re-uniting with your son.”

But she was not willing to accept the reality. It is difficult for a soul that is not yet evolved to ACCEPT and move on.

You never know what is going to happen tomorrow – who knows that the son for whom she is longing – may turn out to be evil, may throw her out of the house, may cause much suffering to her? But she is not going to understand this – she is going to remain in her illusions that one day she will meet her son and then everything will be alright but that is not how life is. Buddha says “Life is suffering” – always remember this.

Those who do not have children – think that those who have children are blessed ones.
And those who have child and are suffering because of their children – think that those who do not have child are the blessed ones.

This is how this strange world is. You always feel that by having that which you don’t have – you will find happiness – but in reality that never happens. That is why the master says – THINK BEFORE YOU DESIRE A THING. THERE IS EVERY POSSIBILITY THAT IT WILL BE FULFILLED, and THEN YOU WILL SUFFER.

Many couples struggle to have a child. Their desire is very intense – the desire to have a child. And then when they finally have a child – they think that they are finally blessed. But the ‘movie’ is not yet over – picture abhi baaki hai – and then when the same child grows and becomes an adult – and cause much suffering to them – then they realize that by having a child – they have dug their own graveyard.

One day – a young man and his wife came to meet Buddha. They wanted a child – they have been trying for a child – but no success. So they asked Buddha “When will we have a child?”

Buddha smiled and said “ I have no problem in giving you a child – but what if the child turns out to be an arrogant, ignorant person? I know you both very well – you both are good hearted person – you both are filled with love and devotion – but what if some bad evil harsh offending soul takes birth through your womb? I love you both and so I wanted you to think over this and then come back with your final decision.”

That couple was not an ordinary couple. They both were evolved souls – they started crying – they said “ Master – you are so compassionate that you shared the truth with us. It is your love towards us that you revealed this to us and we can now understand from your insights that if we bear a child then that child is going to cause much pain and suffering to us. We don’t know how to thank you – we are short of words….”

The compassionate master simply gave them an indication that – in their destiny – if they bear a child then that child will turn out to be an evil person – an arrogant ignorant fool. It is also important to note that the couple also has so much depth of understanding – that at that moment itself they decided to not to have a child and dropped the idea of conceiving a child. Blessed are such great disciples – who understand the message of the master.

Yesterday – a man and he is one of the leading businessman of his city – he called and said “My son does nothing. He is 28 years old – he gets up at 10 AM – then spend the entire morning in the gym and then comes home and then enjoys his time by roaming around the town. I am completely disappointed and don’t know what to do. Who will marry him? Because he does nothing – absolutely nothing.”

This is how the state of a man is – who has a child.

So – to all those who are CHILDLESS – I simply want to help you understand that – having a child is not important – QUALITY OF THE CHILD is important – otherwise the child becomes the source of your suffering.

Whenever your 5th house and 5th house lord is connected with 8th house or 12th house or 6th house and whenever 5th house and 5th house lord is connected with RAHU – then definitely you will suffer if you give birth to a child. Your child will become the source of your suffering – remember my words.

Whenever PUTRAKARAK Planet – meaning of all the seven planets – the planet that holds the 5th highest degree – is afflicted by RAHU or SATURN or MARS or if PUTRAKARAK planet is associated with 8th house or 12th house or 6th house – then definitely you will suffer at the hands of your child.

Whenever 5th house lord is in the 4th house and the sign in the 4th house is Virgo – then definitely you will be devoid of happiness from children.

Whenever SUN is weak or debilitated in your birth chart OR whenever SUN is associated with RAHU or KETU or MARS or SATURN – then you will be devoid of happiness from children.

Whenever 5th house lord is RETROGRADE and SATURN or RETROGRADE SATURN casts its 3rd aspect on 5th house – and JUPITER is also RETROGRADE or JUPITER is debilitated or JUPITER is with RAHU or JUPITER is in the 8th house – then definitely you will see issues regarding children – either the native has no children or if he has then he will suffer a lot because of his children.

Whenever Jupiter, Venus and 5th house lord and 5th house is afflicted or weak – you should know that there is absolutely NO happiness from children – so in such a case – if you remain CHILDLESS then that is much better than to suffer at the hands of your children. That is why Buddha says to that couple – “I can help you become mother and father but what if the child turns out to negative and evil by nature?”

Evolved souls are always unconventional by nature. And these evolved souls are primarily under the influence of higher octave planets.

Mohan asked “Which planets are higher octave planets?”

Primarily we have 2 higher octave planets – and those two planets are – URANUS and NEPTUNE.

And since AQUARIUS is ruled by URANUS – unconventionality comes naturally to AQUARIUS. And so many men and women born with Moon in Aquarius or Rahu in AQUARIUS are found to be unconventional – modern and with a very different perspective towards life in general. Similarly whosoever has a STRONG URANUS, NEPTUNE in the birth chart is also a highly unconventional person – and if such a strong URANUS or NEPTUNE gets support of other positive planets then a genius is born – someone as great as RABINDRANATH TAGORE – he had Neptune in his ASCENDANT and his MOON was in conjunction with NEPTUNE – and since NEPTUNE is the higher version of VENUS – he was able to write some of the greatest poems which won him a Noble prize. The 1913 Noble Prize in Literature was awarded to Rabindranath Tagore and the Noble organization quotes that he was awarded the Noble prize “because of his profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful verse, by which, with consummate skill, he has made his poetic thought, expressed in his own English words, a part of the literature of the West.” Such is the HIGHER POWER of NEPTUNE.

Evolved souls can be identified based on the placement of URANUS and NEPTUNE – and their connection with the lower octave planets such as Venus, Jupiter, Mars and Moon. It is a very deep subject – will reveal more at some other time.

Being CHILDLESS is actually NOT A PROBLEM for EVOLVED SOULS. Because as mentioned earlier EVOLVED SOULS are UNCONVENTIONAL by nature and so they can do that which is considered as not normal by the so called sane people.

From spiritual progress perspective – if by chance you are CHILDLESS and you are a spiritual person then being childless is the most wonderful development for you – because children becomes the hurdle between you and your spiritual progress. Now this may not go well with every person who is hearing this podcast – but as mentioned this sharing is only for a selective people who have a certain depth of understanding.

The master says ““The major mistakes in bringing up children are many, but I will talk only about the most important. First: the idea that they belong to you. They come through you; you have been a passage, but they don’t belong to you. They are not your possessions. Out of this idea of possessiveness many mistakes arise.”

So by chance if you have a child and you are walking on the spiritual path then you should not entertain the idea that your children belong to you – else this possessiveness towards your child will become the cause of many sufferings in your life.

So having children is okay as long as you don’t become possessive of your children. Once you start thinking that your children are your possessions, you have reduced them into things, because only things can be possessed, not human beings. It is the ugliest act you can do. And those poor children are so helpless, so dependent on you, they cannot rebel. They accept whatever your idea is. And to protect your possessiveness you make them Christians the moment they are born. You make them Hindus, you make them Mohammedans, you make them Buddhists, you make them Jews – you can’t wait!

I come across many mothers and fathers – who are so much possessive of their son and daughters – in the end this possessiveness brings many miseries in their life.

When I will die – there will be no one after me – I am a fakir. And I don’t even think of what will happen when I die – that who will take care of my last rituals – because when the body is dead – the story is over. What is there to wait for? Few years ago I had met a lawyer – and he is a old man. He said to me “ I lost my two sons in a road accident. They were very young. I am now alone but I don’t have to worry – I have made arrangements for my last rituals – there is a young boy whom I have raised – he will take care of my last rituals.”

Now this is how people remain attached – why do you have to make arrangements – why you cannot just let God take care of all your worries? But intellectual men are always looking out for making such arrangements – while a Ketuish man is least bothered on what happens when he is dead. He is not even going to make arrangements for the funeral because he is perfectly aware that someone will find money from his pocket and use it for his final rituals – either they will burn him or bury him – so why the heck he has to worry?

Reminds me of a beautiful story – there was a great master – his name was Ikaasu. He was a very extraordinary human being, of great innocence and joy. He loved to laugh and dance and sing. One day when he was going to die. His disciples asked, ”What are we going to do with your body? –because you have lived such an unconventional life we don’t know whether to bury or burn you. What we are supposed to do?”

And the dying Master opened his eyes, laughed his last laughter, and said, ”Surprise me!” closed his eyes and died!

This is the way of the innocent: ”Surprise me!” Even in death there is innocence, laughter. Even in death there is no complaint. He is waiting to be surprised. Whether you burn him or bury him, decide yourself, but make it a surprise. Don’t ask it, don’t follow any given instructions, because then it will not be a surprise at all. ”If I say bury me or burn me, then I will already know about it.”

You have keep a certain SURPRISE element in life – and so if you are childless then naturally this SURPRISE element remains – you don’t know who is going to do the last rituals for you – and if you are truly an evolved soul – then does that really matter? An evolved soul simply sets out on his or her NEXT journey – the journey towards the beyond. It is said that many souls desire for a place in HEAVEN after death – however Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharishi specifically mentions that heaven is a very ordinary place to be.

“Heaven is a wastage of time.” – Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi

You see – just the way people think that HEAVEN is the only place to be – similarly common men think that to complete their family – a child is needed – or to be precise – a son is needed! When in reality these ideas are your illusions – there is no reality to it. CHILDLESS men have attained MOKSHA much faster than those who have CHILDREN – simply because there is NO CHILD to get attached to. However those who have CHILDREN can also attain MOKSHA provided they STOP being POSESSIVE of their child and STOP getting attached with your child.

The whole thing comes down to one word – ATTACHMENT – which drives you birth after birth – and you remain where you are – miserable and lost in this vast human world.

Let me tell you – EVEN if the GURU or the MASTER is with you in physical form – STILL the GURU cannot help you overcome your ATTACHMENTS unless and until you start making efforts – efforts to turn inwards and realize the futility of attachments.

A man who is not much affected for not having children – can progress on spiritual path. However a typical woman or man who is constantly thinking about his or her separated child or is feeling depressed for not having a child – will REMAIN stuck and will again fall in the never ending cycle of birth and rebirth.

These things are very difficult to digest – that is why I share it with only few – may be those who are listening to this podcast and are resonating with it – are the chosen ones – for they will be able to move on and progress on their spiritual path. Remember when you are having no child OR when you are separated from your child and if you are a spiritual being – then it is a signal from GOD that the child is not meant for you – you were just biological father or mother – beyond that there is absolutely NO KARMIC balance connected with your child – so drop the attachment and move on. However very few are able to do so and therefore very few become the BUDDHA.

Spirituality therefore is not as easy as it seems to be. Just by growing a long beard and applying tilak on your forehead and adopting some fancy spiritual name will NOT bring any spiritual progress to you – your appearance may attract a few million people but HOW DOES THAT HELP YOU GROW WITHIN?

And so many long beard so called BABAs and SADHUs come to me – and they think I will be impressed by their appearance – they are WRONG – they cannot impress me because I directly see what lies beneath that long beard and fancy dresses. And I DONT HAVE TO FEAR AT ALL because I know who I am and who is my master and so no matter how many of these fake babas try to impress me – I will always be not impressed – because the TRUTH has nothing to do with outer appearances – truth has much to do with what lies beneath.

Once it happened – there was a great spiritual master – his name was Swami Swaroop Ananda. Interestingly he never kept a beard – he always used to get his face clean shaven. And let me tell you he was the greatest spiritual master that the world had ever known. He lived in a small village called PAVAS in Konkan. Few days ago when he was about to take SAMADHI – his disciples invited one person – they thought he had great powers – they thought he was a spiritual master – because his appearance was very attractive – long beard – big TILAK – and so they went and asked Swami Swaroopananda and Swami said “ What you see on the outside – is NOT in the inside.”

The message was loud and clear – don’t take this man as a spiritual master because the spiritual avatar that you see on his outer appearance is completely absent within his being. He is just a spiritual showcase piece.

Always remember a true sannyasa has NOTHING to do with outer appearance. You may roam around in jeans or pajamas or short pants – and still you will be the greatest SANYASI if you have renounced the “I” thought.

Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi quotes – Sannyasa is only the renunciation of the “I” thought and not the rejection of the external objects.

Real spiritual person is NOT the one who says “I have renounced everything” – but the one who says “I am NOT the doer.”

“Even better than the man who thinks “I have renounced everything” is the one who does his duty but does not think “I do this” or “I am the doer”. Even a sannyasi who thinks “I am a sannyasi” cannot be a true sannyasi, whereas a householder who does not think “I am a householder” is truly a sannyasi.” – Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi

When you are NOT the doer – when you no longer take the credit for doing anything that is good – then GOD takes over and when GOD takes over – you don’t have to do anything special – everything happens in its own accord.

Being childless is perfectly fine – if you have a certain depth of understanding. Otherwise there are millions and millions of couples having dozens of children – but are they happy? They may smile on your face – but in their bedrooms – they weep like a child – they suffer because of their children.

And so – let us not make this idea of having a children – mandatory. If you are pressurized for bearing a child – and you are not willing to then you must express yourself and not succumb to the pressure of the society. Remember – whatever happens – happens for a REASON and you still are unaware of that REASON.

You will understand but till then you should learn to live your life with total acceptance. Accept the fact that GOD wants you to remain childless because there is a much higher purpose to your life – which you are currently unaware of – but later you will understand – you will come to know.

It is wrong to compare and it is wrong to follow the conventions of the society because you are NOT a product – you are NOT a robot – you are a LIVING HUMAN BEING – and you are born for a reason – always remember – you are not born accidently – you are born for a special purpose which you will understand as you start turning inwards – as you start becoming more and more meditative as you start becoming a man of heart and as you start surrendering yourself at the feet of the master.

When there is a certain emptiness in one aspect of your life – GOD ensures that the other side of your life elevates to new heights. It may happen that one one end you may have no child but on the other end you may have that which millions and millions of people long for!

Always remember – there is NO such thing called LOSER – if one end of the see-saw goes down and the other end always shoots upside! And so there are many many childless couples in this vast human world – who may not have a child but they are so beautiful, so loving, and so highly evolved that even if they don’t have a child – many will come to help them – many will take care of them – you know why?

Because when you live for others – others live for you.

Paramhansa Yogananda had no child – he was a celibate but there were thousand and thousand who would come to serve him – and that too out of love!

Yogananda quotes “There is a magnet in your heart that will attract true friends. That magnet is unselfishness, thinking of others first; when you learn to live for others, they will live for you.”

The bottom line is simple and straight – if you are childless then it is a sign that you are chosen for a higher purpose. There is a higher calling. And it is only when you accept your life in totality – that you will realize the higher purpose – and then you will be able to respond to this higher calling – that only few are blessed with.

Ramkrishna Paramhansa – the greatest spiritual master that the world had ever known – was suffering from throat cancer during the last days of his life. And it is said that a time came when he wasn’t able to swallow anything – the disciples became restless, Swami Vivekananda became worried. They all said to Ramkrishna Paramhansa – “You just close your eyes and tell the existence — it will listen to you.” He would close his eyes, but would forget all about it. After a while, when he would open his eyes… the disciples were waiting; they would say, “What happened?”

He said, “Nothing, because when I close my eyes everything becomes silent. What are you expecting to happen?”

They said, “We had asked you to ask existence….” Finally they forced his wife, Sharda: “Perhaps only you can persuade him.”

Unwillingly, reluctantly, she asked him. With tears in her eyes she said, “I don’t want to tell you to do anything because that is interfering, and my whole life I have never said a single word to interfere. You are far above; my hands cannot reach. But because these people are so deeply in anguish, I have agreed to say to you, just once: Close your eyes and ask existence, `What are you doing to me? Remove this cancer from my throat.’”

He said, “Because you have never asked anything — every wife is asking everything, any day, every day; for your whole life you have never asked anything — and this is maybe my last day, or last days, I will fulfill it.”

He closed his eyes, opened his eyes and said, “Sharda, I asked. And I heard a voice saying to me, `Ramakrishna, can’t you drink with other people’s throats? Can’t you eat with other people’s throats? Do you necessarily need your own? Are you still attached to your own body?’

“And I said, `No’ — I had to say the truth. So the voice said, `From now onwards, you eat with everybody’s throat, drink with everybody’s throat.’”

This is the stage of cosmic consciousness. The world may call such a man as a Mad Man – but in reality there is nobody as SANE as this man.

That is why Meher Baba always used to say – that it is easier for a mad man to attain enlightenment because he is already out of his mind but through the wrong door – through the unconscious way – the master just have to show him the right way – the conscious way to come out of the mind and then the same mad man becomes an enlightened man and Avatar Meher Baba transformed many mad men into enlightened being.

Narendranath was the birth name of Swami Vivekananda. And Ramkrishna Paramhansa met Narendranath in November 1881 at Surendra Nath’s Mitra’s house. Ramkrishna asked young Narendranath to sing a song and impressed by his singing talent – Ramkrishna invite Narendranath to Dakshineshwar Kali Temple. However young Narendranath thought that Ramkrishna was a mad man!

This was their first meeting – and look the irony of the situation – the master is inviting the future disciple – and the disciple thinks that the master is a mad man! However young Narendranath accepted the invitation and went to Dakshinewsar to meet Ramakrishna. The meeting proved to be a turning point in the life of Narendranath. Initially Narendra did not accept Ramakrishna as his master and found him insane, but eventually he became one of the closest people in his life. Ramakrishna reportedly shaped the personality of Narendranath and prepared him to dedicate his life to serve the humanity.

So Buddha said, “Okay. Come onto the palm of my hand and jump to the other end of the world.”
The monkey tried and tried, and he was really a very powerful monkey, a
very intense monkey. He went like an arrow, and he went and he went… he went. Months and — the story says — years passed. And then the monkey came to the very end of the world.

So Moon in Ascendant is primarily not a good position unless the MOON is with Jupiter or Ketu – because in our galaxy these two – Jupiter and Ketu – are the only entities that can actually encourage you to turn inwards and overcome this monkey mind.

Moon in 9th house is a man of faith. Faith drives him. He is a lover of God. He is devoted to God. He has the qualities of a devoted disciple. The best example of a true disciple is Hanuman – he was the greatest disciple of Lord Rama – His devotion, His unconditional love towards His Master – Lord Rama cannot be expressed in words. Moon in 9th house – depending on the quality of the horoscope can imbibe the qualities of a true disciple, the qualities of a faithful man. This moon placement makes the person idealist – he follows a certain ideology, a certain sect or a certain thought process. He may be a moderate or an extremist – but he always has a clear thought process which he follows very diligently.

The negative side of Moon in 9th is that it can make one a hardliner – a religious fanatic who can do anything on the name of religion. Many hardliner religious activist are found with this moon placement.

As you can see in the birth chart of Lokmanya Tilak – he had his moon in Pisces sign (that is my favorite zodiac sign) and his 9th house moon is with Jupiter and Jupiter is in its own sign – Pisces. Rahu is also in Pisces sign with Jupiter and Moon. The greatest Freedom Fighter had Jupiter and Rahu together in Pisces – and so there is NO SUCH THING as GURU CHANDAL YOGA – as I have been stating from the very beginning that do not fear if Jupiter is with Rahu in your birth chart.

Always remember – and I say this for the larger interest of all my close followers and readers – the MOON SIGN LORD should be STRONG – and that is the most important GOLDEN RULE that you all must focus on – if your MOON SIGN LORD is WEAK or not well-placed then there are certain remedies that one should follow to strengthen your moon sign lord.

Moon in 9th house is an indication that at some stage of your life you will start following a certain spiritual figure – a spiritual master. Reminds me of the Hollywood Actress – Julia Roberts – best known for her beautiful smile and very natural acting – Julia Roberts in the later stage of her life was influenced by Neem Karoli Baba – the great spiritual master and Avatar of Lord Hanuman. When asked if she had met Neem Karoli Baba, Julia Roberts replied, “No. He passed away long before I saw his picture but you know, just very intriguing, and that is the way things come into our lives. They are not these big gate-crashing moments, it is just a little like… what is this about.”

Julia Roberts further mentioned that she did practice Hinduism and added, “Hinduism is something I am very intrigued by and very interested in.”

She also revealed that she goes to the temple with her family to ‘chant and pray and celebrate. I’m definitely a practicing Hindu,’

These men and women are faithful – but they can also become a victim in the hands of fake baba or fake master. Reminds me of a beautiful story – although the story is not real but it is significant in many ways….

It happened so that there was a young faithful man – he must be like me – his name was Junaid. He was in search of a real master. He searched and he searched and after many years finally at the foothills of the Himalayas – he found the master. As soon as he met his master – he surrendered to the master, he trusted totally. And he asked the master, “What am I supposed to do now?”
The master said, “Once you have surrendered to me, you are not supposed to do anything. Just believe in me. My name is the only secret mantra for you. Whenever you are in difficulty, just remember my name and everything will be all right.”
Junaid touched his feet. And he tried it immediately — he was such a simple man. He walked on the river. Other disciples who had been with the master for years could not believe it — he was walking on the water!
They reported to the master that, “That man, you have not understood him. He is no ordinary man, he is walking on water!”
The master said, “What?”
They all ran towards the river and Junaid was walking on the water, singing songs, dancing. When he came to the shore, the master asked, “What is the secret?”
He said, “What is the secret? It is the same secret that you have given to me — your name. I remembered you. I said, `Master, allow me to walk on water’ and it happened.”
The master could not believe that his name…. He himself could not walk on water. But perhaps… he had never tried.

But it would be better to check a few more things before he tries. So he said to Junaid, “Can you jump from that hill?”
Junaid said, “Whatever you say.” He went up on the hill and jumped, and they were all standing in the valley waiting — just pieces of Junaid will be there! Even if they can find pieces of him, that will be enough — the hill was very high.
But Junaid came down smiling, sitting in a lotus posture. He came just under a tree in the valley, and sat down. They all surrounded him. They looked at him — not even a scratch.
The master said, “This is something. You used my name?”
He said, “It was your name.”
The master said, “This is enough, now I am going to try,” and the first step in the water, he sank.
Junaid could not believe it when he sank. His disciples jumped in and somehow pulled him out. He was half dead. The water was taken out of his lungs… somehow he survived.
And Junaid said, “What is the matter?”
The master said, “You just forgive me. I am no master, I am just a pretender.”
But Junaid said, “If you are a pretender, then how did your name work?”
The pretender said, “My name has not worked. It is your trust. It does not matter who you trust — it is the trust, the love, the totality of it. I don’t trust myself. I don’t trust anybody. I cheat everybody — how can I trust? And I am always afraid to be cheated by others, because I am cheating others. Trust is impossible for me. You are an innocent man, you trusted me. It is because of your trust that the miracles have happened.”

People wrongly superimpose permanence on heavenly enjoyments. Everlasting bliss can be obtained only by eliminating the cycle of birth and death. Heaven is not the place for the realization of truth.

It cannot be a coincidence that just now – the auspicious month of Shravan has begun and I am sharing before you – the many dimensions of this wonderful sharp and highly intellectual Nakshatra – the Nakshatra of Ardra. Tears are beautiful. Once when I was traveling through the Sahayadri mountains – I met a great Yogi and he said “When your teardrops are cold – you are crying out of joy and when your teardrops are warm – you are crying out of pain.” And this is so true – so true! Ardra means wet – this wetness is caused by tears. And when is it that tears start flowing through your eyes? Only when you cannot express your joy or when you cannot express your pain only then do tears flow through your eyes. Ardra is therefore a Nakshatra that takes you through a lot of melodrama in which you may cry out of joy as well as you may often cry out of pain – but life is never boring when it comes to Ardra!

A woman born on Ardra is like a wild storm – you cannot dominate her. In fact, women born on Ardra have been at the forefront of the woman empowerment movement. The Judge said “ I like your honesty and because of it – I am giving you a break. Give this man 100 Dollars from police fund. Case dismissed. NEXT CASE”

The NEXT case was of a criminal – but look what he says – he stands up and says to the Judge “ Sir, I am not going to lie to you – my children were also starving and so I had loot the BANK.”

You see – this is how the MIND plays the GAME – the criminal quickly understands that by SHOWING OFF HOW HONEST HE IS – he too can slip out of the court. However the third man was HONEST but this MAN was ACTING of being HONEST – to feed your starving kids – why you would LOOT a whole BANK! But the criminal was just trying to ACT and gain some sympathy – and that is EXACTLY how the MIND is – and with RAHU in ARDRA – it just becomes more CUNNING – more TREACHEROUS.

The Blind man accepted the lamp and set on his way back home. He must have hardly taken a few hundred steps when a someone bumped into him. The blind man was surprised – and he started laughing – he said to himself “ Seems the logic of my wise friend was wrong – and I was right.”

The blind man asked the man who bumped into him “ Brother, can’t you see there is a lamp in my hand? Are you also blind?”

The man said “ I am not blind, but the lamp in your hands has gone out.”

This is the state – not only of ARDRA RAHU natives but the majority of human population! We think that we are holding a LAMP (AWARENESS) but the LAMP has extinguished long back and we are walking in the dark – thinking that we are AWARE – imagining that we are INTELLIGENT!

This pain that comes through Ardra nakshatra – is not to make you sad, remember. That’s where people go on missing. This pain is just to make you more alert–because people become alert only when the arrow goes deep into their heart and wounds them.

The journey of the soul is through the track of all 27 nakshatras! So this life – you are born on Ardra’s track – the next life it is going to be Punarvasu! How? Why? Is this possible?

Everything is possible. If the soul maintains a progressive outlook – it is but obvious that he is going to progress – move ahead to the next nakshatra in line. If the soul is going to live this life in utter ignorance – in the next life he remains on the same station of Ardra – he has missed the ‘train’ – due to his or her own ignorance!

What is Laxmi? People have weird ideas about Laxmi. And the most claimed one is that Laxmi means money. You are wrong. But to natives of Ardra – Swati – Satabhisha – the definition of Laxmi is in plain words – MONEY.

Laxmi means peace. And let me tell you – MONEY never brings peace! Brothers have chopped each other – to get properties and money – husband has caused pain to wife – just for this money – people cut each other’s throats just for this money – and you say money is Laxmi?

Money is not Laxmi. Peace is Laxmi. And peace blossoms only in that house – whose family members are not greedy, not lustful, not ignorant. Then the money that they earn – brings peace. And it is through this peace – that happiness and prosperity is experienced!

Ramakrishna Paramhansa – one of the greatest Yogi – would never keep any money with him. Money would make him very restless. And so one day – Swami Vivekananda – who was yet to become a disciple of Ramakrishna Paramhansa, decided to test Ramkrishna. In the beginning days, Swami Vivekananda would not accept Ramakrishna as his master. He tested Ramakrishna in various ways and asked him many critical questions. Ramakrishna also encouraged Swami Vivekananda and told him “Test me as the moneychangers test their coins. You must not believe me without testing me thoroughly.”

Swami Vivekananda learned that Ramakrishna considered “money” as a hindrance on the path of spirituality and could not tolerate the touch of silver coins (i.e. money). To test this, one day when Ramakrishna was not in his room, Swami Vivekananda put a silver coin under the mattress of his bed. Ramakrishna entered the room without knowing what Swami Vivekananda had done. Ramkrishna sat on his bed. But immediately he jumped up in pain and asked someone to check his bed. The bed was searched and the coin was found.

And Swami Vivekananda’s eyes were filled with tears. He bowed before his Guru – Ramakrishna Paramhansa and for a long time, he remained at the master’s lotus feet!

The beautiful relationship of a disciple and the master – between Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramhansa – is so touching that words cannot suffice – language is really poor!

It was known that Swami Vivekananda did not accept or worship the goddess KALI, the goddess Ramakrishna used to worship.

And so one day Ramakrishna asked him— “Why do you come here if you do not accept Kali, my Mother?”

And Swami Vivekanand’s eyes became wet, looking into the eyes of the master – he replied “Simply because I come to see you. I come to you because I love you.”

RAHU cannot understand this love. RAHU cannot rejoice in this love. For the simple reason – RAHU is interested in MONEY – and Laxmi is not MONEY. Money is money – it brings along too many miseries – but the same money when is earned through good means, when is earned and spent for good purposes – when is earned and spent to help someone – then the same money becomes LAXMI – you know why? Because it brings along a certain peace, a certain satisfaction, a certain bliss to your ‘self’!

Money is NOT Laxmi. But MONEY can be transformed into LAXMI – when you do good to others through that money. When your money is used for positive, constructive KARMA – then the MONEY you have is transformed into LAXMI. Then this LAXMI brings peace and prosperity to you and your dear ones. It is all connected – it always is!

The divine Saint Neem Karoli Baba – whom the much famed Apple Founder Steve Jobs had come to meet says – “Money should be used to HELP others.”

Then such money stays, then such money has a certain fragrance to it – then such money never fails you-you are always found in peace, in bliss!

RAHU-ish men or women – are simply running behind money. And they also make a lot of money. But that is money – only money – NOT LAXMI! So don’t confuse yourself – Money is one thing. And LAXMI is another!

Only that man can be blessed with LAXMI – who is NOT Greedy for money. Who is found to be satisfied with whatever he is earning, Who is not asking for a BRIBE?

A great Saint had once said that to a Government officer – the money you receive on the 1st of every month (salary) is your LAXMI. And the thing that you receive from 2nd to 31st of the month (Bribe) is MONEY!

And so always remember – MONEY is LAXMI only when it comes through the positive source and is also spent for positive purpose – only then your MONEY is LAXMI – else it is just a paper currency that can serve you with all sorts of pleasures – but not happiness, you can get as much sex as you want – but not love! Love and happiness cannot be bought in the market – they can only be realized within!

It is true that RAHU-ish people are money makers – but they remain only money-makers. They become just money. You can call them ‘Paisewala’ – but not ‘Rich’ (Shrimant)!

All 3 nakshatras of RAHU are money-making machines – they just make you a machine that makes money – nothing beyond that. And so those who are considering MONEY as their life goal – Ardra, Swati, Satabhisha – come as handy. But beyond money – there is not much to celebrate. Love is missing. Happiness is missing. Health is missing – and so then you see these men in misery. But still – in the very beginning of this answer – I had said that these are purifying nakshatras – why? Because when you fall in misery – either you take the gun in your hand and start shooting others – OR – you become more and more insightful, understanding, and mature! So you see – on what way does the chart inclines – is based on the placement of Jupiter. The stronger the Jupiter – the more these people are purified through many sufferings.

Is suffering really necessary? Yes and No. If you had not suffered as you have, there would be no depth to you as a human being, no humility, no compassion. Suffering cracks open the shell of ego and then comes a point when it has served its purpose. Suffering is necessary until you realize it is unnecessary.

Suffering has a noble purpose. The evolution of consciousness and the burning up of the EGO. Now you see – why I said – Ardra is a purifying nakshatra? It takes you through many Ups and Downs – Pains and sufferings until you come to your senses – until you become aware of your ‘self’ – until a day comes when you start turning inwards!

If proper guidance is provided (through other planetary aspects) then this Ardra can reach to the height of spiritual ecstacy – such is the power of this Nakshatra – the same RAHU (passion/desire) when channelized towards something superb, something of higher altitudes – it can create magic!

On the base level – is PHYSICAL SEX (Body). It is purely physical. On the mid-level – is MIND. It is purely on mental state. And on the higher level – is the SOUL.

Every individual is born with a certain level of consciousness. The lower the level of consciousness – the more ‘Physical’ he or she is. The energy is the same – the sun is the same, the moon is the same – what is not the same – is the receiving capabilities – every individual receives the energy based on his or her ‘antenna’ – my purpose is to help you all to ‘fine-tune’ your antenna – and then there is no question of what is luck and unluck – then whatever comes – is HIS gift, is HIS blessings and then can anything ever go wrong in our life?

Come, don’t get lost in these small minds that divide the stars in lucky and unlucky – these all are shallow minds – and you have to come to the ‘No-Mind’ stage – where there is no mind – but only the heart – and the heart knows the way, the heart can help you find the way – the heart should become the answer to all your questions.

There is no hard rule – but shallow people have made rules out of ignorance – with the utter ignorance they have tried to fit ‘life’ into a certain rule – that is not possible, life is so large – that nobody can trap it, stop it, block it – life is a flow – it is a ‘river’ – it never really judges to what comes in between – life just continues to flow….

Human beings are prone to judging and judging is ugly.

Even Jesus says “Who am I to Judge – the matter is between you and God.” – So why do we judge?

There is no rule that can distinguish what is right and what is wrong – it is all situational. The same knife when used to save your life – becomes a messiah – and the same knife when cuts your finger – becomes a criminal!

So my dear followers – do not get trapped in judging what is lucky and unlucky or what is wrong and what is right – for the real truth is only to be found beyond the fields of wrongdoing and right doing.

Rules are the outcome of your MIND. And YOU are NOT the Mind.

Nelson Mandela mentions the same essence to his wife – Winnie Mandela who was locked up in the in Kroonstad Prison jail. In his letter, Mandel writes to his wife Winnie Mandela-

“At least, if for nothing else, the prison cell gives you the opportunity to look daily into your entire conduct, to overcome the bad and develop whatever is good in you. Regular meditation, say about 15 minutes a day before you turn in, can be very fruitful in this regard.” – Nelson Mandela

However the last words that Nelson Mandela writes to his wife are so beautiful that they should be written in GOLD.
