Is It Evil Eye Or Black Magic? | Episode Four

Spread the love

What if I told you that the person who is jealous of you may give you Nazar — but that does not automatically mean they are doing black magic on you?

This is where most people get completely confused.

Evil eye can happen naturally. Black magic is deliberate.

Nazar may come from jealousy, envy, resentment or somebody simply not being able to digest your happiness. But black magic, according to occult traditions, begins when somebody crosses a line and decides: “I don’t just hate this person — I want to destroy this person.”

And then intention becomes action. Sometimes money is paid. Sometimes an occult practitioner is approached. Sometimes the target is very specific — your marriage, your money, your career, your peace of mind.

Understand this once and for all: Evil eye and black magic are not the same. And I will explain this in very simple words.

Every time something goes wrong in somebody’s life, people immediately say, “Mujhe Nazar lag gayi,” or worse, “Someone has done black magic on me.” But you cannot put everything under the same label. Business went down — black magic. Marriage problem — black magic. Health issue — black magic. Somebody stopped calling you — black magic. Views dropped on YouTube — black magic. No. Life itself has problems. Karma has consequences. Wrong decisions have consequences. Health problems may have medical reasons. Relationships break for very real reasons. And then, yes, there are also spiritual and occult interpretations. But wisdom lies in knowing the difference.

So first let us understand Nazar — the evil eye.

Evil eye is generally associated with jealousy, envy, resentment, comparison and inferiority complex. Suppose your life suddenly starts going very well. You buy a beautiful house. You purchase a new car. Your business starts growing. Your marriage looks happy. Your children are doing well. You are becoming healthier, more successful, more visible and more popular. Naturally, people are watching you.

Most people may genuinely be happy for you. But not everybody.

Somebody sees your success and thinks, “Why him?” Somebody looks at your marriage and thinks, “Why is she so happy?” Somebody sees your money and immediately begins comparing their own life with yours. Somebody sees your popularity and starts burning inside. Somebody sees your peace and simply cannot digest it.

That is the basic idea behind what many traditions call Nazar or Drishti.

And here is the most important part: the person may not even consciously decide to harm you. They may smile at you. They may congratulate you. They may even genuinely like you. But somewhere inside, jealousy, resentment or comparison is operating.

That is why Nazar is often described as something that can happen naturally.

Now black magic is a completely different matter.

Black magic, according to occult traditions, begins when jealousy is no longer just jealousy. It becomes an intention.

“I want this person’s marriage to break.”

“I want this person’s business to collapse.”

“I want this person to lose money.”

“I want these two people separated.”

“I want this person mentally disturbed.”

“I want this person blocked.”

That is where the line changes.

Nazar may come because somebody envies you. Black magic, in occult belief, involves intention plus deliberate action.

And sometimes even money.

If somebody seriously wants another person harmed, they may approach an occult practitioner and pay that practitioner to carry out the work. And that is why I sometimes use a very blunt comparison.

Black magic, in some traditions, can be understood almost like giving a supari.

Everybody in India understands what the word “supari” means. You don’t want to get your own hands dirty, so you hire somebody else to do the dirty work.

The same comparison is sometimes used in the occult world. The enemy approaches a practitioner, pays money and says, in effect, “I want this person destroyed.”

Mentally.

Financially.

Emotionally.

Professionally.

Maritally.

That is why deliberate occult work is often described as an expensive affair. According to those traditions, practitioners may demand money, materials and repeated ritual work.

And yes, some occult traditions contain extremely disturbing practices. There are historical and cultural accounts involving animal sacrifice, blood offerings and rituals involving black roosters, goats or lambs. I am not going to explain procedures, rituals or methods because this series is about awareness — not teaching anybody how to harm another person.

But understand the principle.

The alleged ritual is performed with a target.

A specific intention.

And an expected negative result.

That is very different from somebody simply being jealous of your new house or new car.

So when somebody tells me, “Acharya Ji, one person looked at me very strangely. Is this black magic?” my answer is: not necessarily.

Maybe it is Nazar.

Maybe it is jealousy.

Maybe it is nothing.

Maybe you are overthinking.

Maybe you are already going through a difficult phase and now you are connecting every setback with somebody else’s negative intention.

And this is where you have to become very careful, because fear can make you paranoid.

You start suspecting everybody.

Your brother.

Your sister.

Your neighbour.

Your maid.

Your business partner.

Your ex.

Your relatives.

Suddenly everybody becomes an enemy.

That is not spiritual awareness. That is fear.

And once fear enters your mind, common sense can disappear very quickly.

Let us take some very simple examples of Nazar. You attend a wedding wearing expensive jewellery and somebody looks at you with intense envy. You announce a pregnancy and somebody who is struggling with their own pain cannot emotionally digest your happiness. You buy a beautiful house and put photographs online, and somebody who is financially struggling watches everything with resentment. You become famous, and somebody who knew you when you had nothing finds it difficult to accept your rise.

That is human psychology.

And traditional cultures have associated that kind of hostile gaze, envy or resentment with Nazar.

Black magic is believed to go one step further. The person is not merely jealous anymore. They want an outcome. They want damage. And they consciously seek someone who claims to have occult knowledge to create that outcome.

But now we come to another major danger — fraud.

There are people who have created an entire business out of frightening vulnerable people.

You go to them because you are already suffering, and within five minutes they tell you, “Very dangerous black magic has been done on you.”

Then comes the next sentence.

“Give me ₹50,000 immediately.”

Or ₹1 lakh.

Or ₹2 lakh.

And if you hesitate, suddenly the fear becomes even bigger.

“If you don’t do this remedy immediately, your family will suffer.”

That itself should make you suspicious.

A genuine spiritual guide should make you stronger, not more frightened.

Not more dependent.

Not more financially desperate.

Fear is one of the oldest businesses in the world.

And I am saying this very clearly because fraud exists everywhere — even in astrology, spirituality, Tantra and occult practices.

Not every person wearing black clothes is an occultist.

Not every person wearing Rudraksha is spiritual.

Not every person calling himself a Tantrik understands Tantra.

And most importantly, not every problem in your life is caused by another person.

Sometimes the problem is your own choices.

Your habits.

Your wrong relationships.

Your financial decisions.

Your health negligence.

Your ego.

Your karma.

Your dasha.

Your transit.

That is why spiritual maturity means learning to distinguish between an actual pattern and your own fear.

There is another important difference between Nazar and what is described as deliberate occult work. Nazar is often considered temporary. Somebody looks at you. Feels jealous. Their attention shifts. Their emotion changes. Life moves on.

But deliberate black magic, according to occult belief, may involve sustained intention, repeated ritual work and a specific target. This is why people who believe they have experienced it often describe a pattern of repeated disturbances rather than one isolated incident.

Even then, do not immediately jump to conclusions.

Observe.

Use common sense.

Rule out medical reasons.

Rule out psychological reasons.

Rule out financial reasons.

Rule out relationship problems.

Rule out your own mistakes.

And if you are spiritually inclined, strengthen yourself spiritually instead of spending your entire life hunting for an enemy.

Because there is something even more dangerous than fear.

Obsession.

“Who is doing it?”

“Is it my cousin?”

“Is it my ex?”

“Is it my neighbour?”

“Is it my colleague?”

You can destroy your own peace by constantly investigating people around you.

Instead, become stronger.

Pray.

Do mantra.

Live ethically.

Keep your mind disciplined.

Keep your environment spiritually positive.

Do not retaliate with hatred.

Do not answer darkness with darkness.

Because once you start trying to harm the person you believe harmed you, you may enter a cycle of revenge that becomes more damaging than the original problem itself.

So remember message very clearly.

Evil eye and black magic are not the same.

Evil eye is traditionally associated with jealousy, envy, resentment and hostile attention. It may happen without the other person consciously deciding to harm you.

Black magic, according to occult traditions, involves deliberate negative intention combined with deliberate occult action against a particular target.

One may happen spontaneously.

The other is believed to be planned.

One may arise from jealousy.

The other is believed to arise from a conscious desire to cause damage.

And most importantly — do not live in fear.

You are not supposed to wake up every morning wondering who is attacking you.

Your job is to become spiritually stronger.

Because the stronger you become internally, the less power fear has over your mind.

And in the next blog, I am going to discuss a question that disturbs many people even more:

Can your hair, clothes, photographs or personal items be used for black magic?

Why do certain occult traditions place so much importance on objects personally connected with the target? Why do people become frightened when their hair, clothing, photograph or other personal belongings fall into the wrong hands? And what exactly do occult traditions mean when they speak about a personal energetic connection?

That is what we are going to discuss in the next blog of Black Magic Series 2026.

Until then, stay alert. Stay spiritually strong. But never allow fear to control your life.

Jai Shri Ganesha. Jai Guru.
