Bharani is a highly materialistic nakshatra. It is a sansari nakshatra. But let this be very clear, sansar does not mean the world.

Sansar means the repeating wheel, the same pattern repeating again and again and again. So even if you leave your wife and go to the Himalayas, still it is the same repeating wheel. You are not out of it.

You think you have left your wife. You think you have left everything behind. But you haven’t.

You are still part of the same wheel that goes on repeating again and again and again. Who knows in a past life you may have done the same thing. So it is sansar, the repeating wheel, the repeating pattern.

Nobody gets out of this wheel easily. You get out of this wheel only when awareness begins to arise. Only when you start bringing more consciousness to your being.

Only then the old patterns begin to break. That is why it is said, life keeps repeating mindlessly until you become mindful. And Bharani is such a deeply sansari nakshatra.

It is worldly. It is materialistic. It enjoys life.

It is ruled by Venus, the planet of pleasure, beauty, romance, and creativity. Bharani celebrates the many experiences of human life. Now let us understand what happens when the moon, the mind, falls in Bharani nakshatra.

Bharani is a beautiful nakshatra. It is a highly sexual nakshatra. The person born here is deeply inclined towards experiencing the pleasures of life.

A Bharani person is very straightforward in love matters. If he loves you, he will not run around the bush. He will simply say those three magical words, I love you.

And he will expect a quick response. Because Bharani is passionate, intensity flows through this nakshatra. Whether it is love or completing a certain work, a Bharani native gives himself.

But life for a Bharani native is like a poetry. There is rhythm, there is a story, there is romance, there are twists, there is drama, there is love. These people are not overly logical and therefore they appear more alive, more vibrant, more joyful.

For them, love is magic without logic. It is always interesting to befriend a Bharani native. Personally, I like Bharani.

One of the most beautiful qualities of this nakshatra is honesty. They are not backstabbers, they are not conspirators. Whatever they want to say, they will say it to your face.

And that is why betrayal is rarely seen from a Bharani native. They may fight with you openly, but they will not betray you secretly. In the chart of a Bharani woman, if Venus is powerful and Mars is strong, such a woman becomes extremely attractive.

She possesses immense sex appeal. She has the ability to make a man weak on his knees. Her beauty becomes difficult to ignore.

This is the magic of Venus working through Aris, a beautiful princess living in the palace of a warrior king. One of the greatest gifts of Bharani is fertility. Women born with Moon or Venus in Bharani are generally fertile.

Pregnancy happens easily. The chances of becoming a mother are high. In fact, young women having Moon or Venus in Bharani should be cautious in sexual relationships.

Necessary precautions should be taken. Because Bharani is the nakshatra of the womb. Similarly, young men having Moon or Venus in Bharani should also be careful.

Because this nakshatra carries tremendous reproductive energy. Many men who struggle with sexual weakness consult doctors or sexologists. But if they understand the spiritual dimension of Bharani and worship this nakshatra energy, sexual vitality can improve.

Because Bharani is the epitome of sexual power. Sex is necessary. Without sex, life cannot arrive on this planet.

All of us are born out of sex. And yet sex is the most condemned thing in society. How strange.

You are born out of sex. Your children will be born out of sex. And yet society calls sex a sin.

This is psychological hypocrisy. The more something is condemned, the more attractive it becomes. Bharani is symbolised by a clay pot or a womb.

The womb that holds Shakti, the creative feminine force. That is why fertility is deeply connected to this nakshatra. Usually you will rarely see a barren woman with strong Bharani placements.

The power of creation flows strongly through this nakshatra. Never challenge a man or woman born with moon in Bharani. Because they have the courage to fight back.

This reminds me of a very beautiful, interesting story. And I want you to listen to this story carefully. It happened once, a great warrior returned home.

And was shocked to see his daughter with her lover. The warrior could have killed his daughter’s lover then and there itself. But he decided to follow the customs.

According to the customs, it was not fair to kill someone without a fair trial. A fair chance. And so the warrior said to the young man, Tomorrow morning you will fight with me.

Take this sword and come tomorrow morning. If you win, my daughter is yours. Else you are dead.

The young lover did not even know how to hold a sword. He was a poor farmer. He had never been trained in swordmanship.

He said, Sir, although you are following the convention and respecting even a poor man like me and giving me an opportunity, still this is for you just a game. I don’t know anything about swordsmanship. At least give me two days so that I can go to the greatest master who lives in a nearby monastery.

He is a Zen monk. At least I can go to him and learn something about this. So please give me two days to have some clue.

The warrior agreed. He said, You can go. And if it is needed, you can take few more days.

But get disciplined. I will wait for you. The young lover went to the great warrior, the Zen master.

The Zen master said, Even years of training will not help you. Your lover’s father is just second to me in the whole country. You cannot hope to compete with him.

My suggestion is this is the right moment to fight. The young lover could not understand. He said, What kind of puzzle are you giving to me? This moment is the right moment.

And the Zen master said, Yes, because you have one certain thing, your death. Now more than that, you cannot lose. Your opponent has many things to lose.

His daughter, his prestige. His respectability as a warrior. He’s a great, great landlord.

All his money. His mind cannot be total while he is fighting. But you can be total.

You have to be total. Just a moment of unawareness and you are gone. You have to be totally alert.

This is the right moment. Don’t bother about any discipline. You simply take the sword and go.

The young man came back within minutes. The great warrior said, Have you learned anything? He said, There is no need of learning anything. Come out of your house.

And the way he shouted, Come out of your house. The great warrior could not believe. What magic change? What magical change has happened to his daughter’s lover? As he came out, the young lover, according to convention, bowed down to the warrior.

The warrior bowed down to the young lover. That is how it is in Japan. Part of their culture.

Even with the enemy, you have to respect his dignity, his humanity, his divinity. And then the young lover started hitting the warrior. Knowing nothing about swordsmanship.

The warrior was at a loss. Because where an expert would have hit, the young lover would not hit. Because he had no idea.

He would hit somewhere where no expert would ever have hit. And he was fighting with such totality. That the warrior started moving backwards.

And as the warrior started moving backwards. The young lover gathered more courage. He was moving his sword without knowing why.

To what purpose or where he was hitting. And since it has been decided that his death is certain. Now there is nothing to worry about.

All worries belong to life. Soon he cornered the great warrior. Behind there was a wall surrounding the warrior’s garden.

He could not move backwards anymore. He was so afraid of death for the first time in his life. And he said, wait, you can have my daughter.

You can have my properties. I am renouncing the world. I am becoming a monk.

This is the courage of love. Love creates awareness. Love creates totality.

Love can make an ordinary man extraordinary. That is the power of Venus. And Bharani is the most romantic nakshatra.

And now let’s discuss the four padas of Bharani nakshatra. Bharani Pada 1 When the moon falls in the first pada of Bharani. The native becomes highly creative and intelligent.

Such a person performs well in studies and education. But one thing becomes very clear. Love is essential for them.

Without love, they feel incomplete. Love becomes oxygen. They constantly seek emotional and romantic companionship.

These natives are playful and energetic. Many good sportsmen are born here. Professionally, they may rise to high administrative positions.

Many managers, CEOs, and government officers come from this placement. They may also succeed in artistic professions like acting, modelling, or performing. Bharani Pada 2 When the moon falls in the second pada, the person becomes highly analytical.

Such natives observe details carefully. They enjoy analysing situations, projects, and ideas. Because of this analytical strength, many of them work in IT industries.

Or as analysts in IT industry. Some become film critics, writers, or commentators. They are health conscious and intellectually active.

But one challenge is their tendency to argue. They can debate endlessly. These people love conversation.

If your partner has this placement, your phone will always remain busy. Because they enjoy talking and discussing ideas. They are social beings.

Much indeed can happen over a cup of coffee with such people. Bharani Pada 3 In the third pada, the sexual energy becomes stronger. The native becomes extremely passionate.

They enjoy exploring many dimensions of love and physical intimacy. Interest in subjects like Kamasastra may arise. These natives also become good dealmakers.

They do well in business, sales, and entrepreneurship. If Venus and Mars are strong, marital life becomes satisfying and passionate. Both men and women born here possess strong attraction.

Relationships are easily formed. Creative professions also suit them well. Artists, designers, performers often come from this placement.

Bharani Pada 4 When the moon falls in the fourth pada, life brings sudden transformations. The native may experience shocks, dramatic events, or unexpected turns in relationships. But these challenges often push the person towards deep inner transformation.

Sexual energy remains strong. At a lower level of awareness, the native may remain deeply involved in sensual pleasures. At a higher level of awareness, this energy can transform into spiritual power.

Such natives can become excellent investigators, researchers, intelligence officers, or occult students. There is no mediocrity here. They either rise very high or fall very low.

This placement gives extreme results. The presiding energies of Bharani are Yama and Kali. Yama represents death.

But death is necessary. Because without death, there is no rebirth. From a spiritual perspective, death means death of ego, death of illusions.

This is what Jesus referred to as spiritual rebirth, reborn. In Hindu tradition, this is called dvija, the second birth. The first birth is through parents.

The second birth happens through the guru. The guru destroys your ego. And through that destruction, a new consciousness is born.

The sacred tree of Bharani is Amla, the Indian gooseberry. Interestingly, many pregnant women crave sour fruits like Amla. Again the dots connect.

Bharani signifies fertility. And Amla is connected to pregnancy. If you offer fresh Amla to Goddess Lakshmi, prosperity flows easily.

Since Bharani is ruled by Venus, the Ishta Devata connected to this nakshatra is Goddess Durga. Durga represents Shakti, the fierce, courageous, feminine power. Just like Aries, where Bharani resides.

To receive blessings of Bharani nakshatra, one may perform the following acts of donation and devotion. The first act. Offer red flowers to Goddess Durga.

Donate clothes or food to women in need. Support the education of young girls. Feed cows or animals.

Offer Amla fruits in a temple dedicated to the divine goddess, Mother Kali or Durgama. These acts please the Shakti of Bharani. And when Shakti blesses you, courage, prosperity and vitality enters your life.

Chant with devotion. I humbly bow down to this powerful Venus nakshatra of Bharani. A nakshatra of love, of courage, of fertility, of passion.

May all those born with Moon, Venus or Rahu in Bharani continue to make this world more beautiful, more colourful and more alive. Because the warmth of Bharani is needed in this world. Jai Maturga.

Love to all of you.

Jai Shri Ganesha. Jai Guru.
