This is like a diabetic patient asking the doctor â Can I have all kinds of chocolates?â
Once it happened. I must be in my teens and I remember I used to visit an Ayurveda doctor whenever I fell sick due to cold and cough. And I was staying alone, doing my college and one day I just happened to be in a good restaurant but since I was on medication- I called my doctor – he said âHello who is speaking?â
I said â Doctor I am your patient and I am in a nice restaurant and the menu card is in my hand and I am going to read out few menu items that I like – you please suggest which one should I pickâĻâ
The doctor was a very a simple man, he helped me choose and then we disconnected the call.
After a week when I visited his clinic, he says â Yesterday when I was giving a lecture- I shared our conversation on the phone and the whole class burst out in laughterâĻâ
He said, â I am strictly against eating out in restaurants and this young boy calls me from the restaurant and is asking me to choose a dish forâĻ for him!!!â
Old times. Old stories. Whenever the doctor met me in the latter days, he would always bring up this story and laugh his heart out. A jolly man, now he has grown up to become one of the best doctors of India.
Your question is also like the way I had asked my doctor about what food I should have from the restaurant when I am supposed to have only homemade food! The laughter is not on me but on my innocence- I was only 18. Similarly, the laughter on your question is not on you but on your innocence AND such laughter is blissful- it has a certain fragrance to it!

And so even I laugh out whenever I remember this hilarious incident of my youthful days.
Rahu Mahadasha needs no Gomed, if you wear it then you will empower the energy of Rahu – and that will be disastrous for you.
Sun is not a planet. Sun is the Star. I love Sun. I am a devotee of Sun. Sun God is my God. To me – my master is my Sun God. Every morning when you see the rising sun – how much joy springs in your heart. There is no greater star than the Sun!
And Sun is totally against Darkness. Against the darkness of Ignorance. Rahu is this IGNORANCE. Wearing Sun’s Ruby while sitting in Rahu’s Abode is like inviting Buddha in Hitler’s torture room. You will simply suffer from many health, ego, love issues.
And so through your question- I would like to appeal to all my followers and readers – that don’t do such a mistake. Don’t let such a question popup in your mind. The mind is a monkey. It can lead you to more misery than otherwise.
The only way to overcome Rahu Mahadasha is to drop all your learning and all your illusions and simply visit Lord Mahadev Shiva temple every Mondays and donate milk. Also if possible do fasting on every Mondays till sunset. Further, if you can – stop eating onion and garlic food. Eat less oily food. In fact, adhere to JAIN FOOD! I am a pure vegetarian Hindu Brahmin but many times I am also pulled towards the Jain temples and the Jain Food and way of living. Maybe in one of my last births, I must have been a Jaina Muni!
So in nutshell the essence of my answer is that instead of buying any expensive gemstones- how beautiful it would be if you and all those who are going through Rahu mahadasha- start focusing on your lifestyle, your habits, your food – in short, change the way of your living, purify it and that is the most effective way to overcome Rahu âĻ

What is Rahu Period or Rahu Mahadasha?
And nobody going to tell you what I am going to reveal to you and through your question- to all my followers and readers- because such things are not found in books!
Rahu Dasha is simply the BHOG of your past life Ignorance. In the past life if you have hurt your mother, father, wife, husband or children – then all of the PAYBACK time comes in your this life Rahu Dasha. Basically, SIN happens when Consciousness is absent. That is the true definition of SIN. And Rahu Mahadasha is the time to payback for such SINs that one may have committed in his last life.
So always remember nothing goes away until and unless it has been addressed. The courts of the human world may release you. The courts of the cosmic law never ever will release you unless and until you have paid for what you have done to others.
Many men and women come to me with questions of marriage – either the marriage is not happening, either the sex life is not good, either the husband or his mother is not good- so many such questions come up and you may go on visiting temples and Pundits and nothing is going to happen unless and until you pay back your DUES.
A young man asked â And what is the way to pay back?â
And the master said â By NOT retaliating- but by ACCEPTING the situation in totality. â
How deep is this answer? Only a meditative person can relate to it.
When you Accept life in totality- the energy within you is NOT divided. Understand this and I insist to all my followers- understand this.
When you are sick with high fever, if you accept the situation in totality- you can HEAL MUCH FASTER. But you do exactly the opposite- you resent the fact that you are sick, inside you are trying NOT to accept your illness in totality. The energy within remains divided – one part of it is acceptable while the other part is rejecting. And so then the sick body takes time to heal!
Accept. Accept your situation in totality and you will see the road ahead!
If divorced – Accept in totality. Then no guilt will be within you, then you will be like a butterfly- ready to spread your wings and enjoy the life ahead.
If unmarried- Accept in totality. Then there will be no burden, you will feel relaxed. Let no traditions and customs of society impact your freedom of choice. Remember – society is fake. Live your life by being yourself.
If jobless – Accept in totality. Let there be no shame. Many successful men and women have been through this phase and so you are NOT the only one. You are never alone. Always remember this – you are never alone.

And so Accept Rahu Mahadasha in totality- let there be no fear. Life begins where Fear ENDS.

To all who have been following me – through this question I appeal and encourage you all to drop all the thoughts of wearing any gemstone, just focus within, focus on purifying your mind through fasting and reading Ganesha or Vishnu Shloka, meditate on His Holy name â Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare”, and while you do so, I am not stopping you all from having Sex. There is absolutely no problem in having a good sex life as long as you follow a daily routine life that is balanced well – with Bhog *sex life* and Yog (prayers and meditative life). Sex is not a taboo- but one must be aware of the fact that with what kind of person you are having sex? If the person is negative, atheist, immature and you are enjoying sex with such a person than you are digging a grave for yourself. So it is not sex that is bad, it is the person with whom you have sex – decides if sex is going to bring bliss in your material life or a lot of pain!
And you will choose your sexual partner based on what you are! And so first – one should focus within and raise your level of Consciousness by being more and more meditative. It also happens that in reality you come from a good well-cultured family but a time comes in your life when you suddenly start falling – losing your values, and ethics (that’s Rahu Rahu Ignorance- a mapping of your last life sins) and exactly when you are at the lowest point of your Consciousness- that you fall for a woman who in reality is no less than a beauty disguised witch! And then a new story begins, a story of sex and miseries until a day comes (end of Rahu Dasha and the start of Jupiter) when you finally become aware and start coming out from the clutches of this beautiful woman who in reality was a witch!
So there is a lot that comes through during the Rahu Mahadasha. Sex.Lies.Loot.Cheat.Frauds. A lot. But one who is focused within. One who is focused on the God of Gods- Mahadeva. One who is engrossed in His holy name – Aum Namaha Shivaya – always finds a way through this dark tunnel called Rahu mahadasha!
So come – come you all, and I appeal to all my followers and fellow travelers- come towards the light of Consciousness. The challenges that you all are facing right now is not to cause you pain but to AWAKE YOU. Because it is only when the thorn goes deep into your heart, that you are awakened!

It is the fire of suffering that ultimately brings you towards the light of Consciousness!
So don’t fear and don’t try to find an escape route from Rahu. Instead, face Rahu – this Rahu is your own Ignorance of many lives and the Dasha is the fruits of your bad karma that you have executed in your last births. So everything is yours – you cannot hate your Shadow, because the Shadow is yours!
Accept the shadow (Rahu) and work towards overcoming it by being more and more aware, meditative.
